fibromyalgia

1830047 tn?1321667793 I had migraines off and on growing up - mostly seemed menstrual cycle related. However, since both my lupus and fibro diagnoses, these migraines have gottten much worse and much more frequent. I know for a fact they are no longer menstrual cycle related as I've had a complete hysterectomy. My doctor recently tried me on Imitrex to see if it would help the migraines. My first dose shot my BP up to 178/106 and gave me horrid chest pains.
Avatar m tn She told me that her headaches have been coming and going for about 2 years (she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for 16 years now). The headaches are migraine like in her words. Could this fluid at the base of her skull be related to her Fibromyalgia?
Avatar m tn I started taking Trazadone for sleep and it is giving me headaches. I cut it from 150 mg to 75 mg and that helped some. Will the headaches eventually go away?
Avatar f tn I'm new here and I haven't had a fibromyalgia diagnosis, but I have had muscle twitching all over (mostly in my legs) and that has died down quite a bit, but I've have tired muscles and I have been so tired. I get tender spots that hurt for no reason to the touch. This past Saturday I went dancing and almost didn't make it through the first song, my legs started to hurt so bad. I woke up the next morning and it felt like someone had beat my legs with a baseball bat.

Avatar f tn Adolescent Sudden Chronic Headaches. They go away and comes back. How do I get rid of them?? What are they caused by? Other symptoms include: Back pain, neck pain, fatigue, lack of sleep, sometimes I have excessive thirst, eye pain, bad eyesight, see diffrent colors sometimes, and I'm hungry a lot. My step dad had Acoustic Nuermoa, and that happens to like 1 in 100,000 people or something like that, so I'm positive I don't have it. There is no way my family is that unlucky.
Avatar f tn I haven't been to a Doctor in almost 2 years...... I lost my job and my insurance and social services turn me down. SSD/SSI just called yesterday, they are sending me to a doctor for an eval. in the next couple of weeks. Most Migraines cause light sensitivity (don't have) and blindness in one eye (don't have). This is a pressure in the top back of my head that never goes away When I started having trouble 5 years ago I was sent to an Ortho, Neuro, Internal Medicine Dr.
710094 tn?1229308706 I haven't heard of fibromyalgia causing this type of disruption to anyones body. If you are vomiting on a daily basis, you are depleting your electrolytes and could also suffer from dehydration or malnutrition. Any of these could cause problems with dizziness and forgetfulness. It could be contributed to fibromyalgia, but I pray that you are still under a physicians care for your gastric problem because your symptoms could be a result of that as well.
Avatar m tn t get me wrong, naproxen is the only NSAID that helps my Fibromyalgia). But it can cause severe stomach problems.
Avatar f tn Headaches can be divided into primary and secondary. Primary headache disorders are headaches without a direct cause. Secondary headache disorders are due to an underlying problem, such as a tumor, medication side effects, central nervous system infections, clots in the veins in the brain etc. An MRI of the brain excludes many of the latter. However, there are certain secondary causes of headaches that i will discuss below.
Avatar f tn I never had pains as strong as yours but I think the real cause to Fibromyalgia is depression and bad diet. (the only 2 pilsl doctros can prescribe are antidepressants and they dont really work because you cant fix depression just with antidepressants) Do you know that women are 9 times more likely to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia? Try exercising regularly and have a vegetable based diet. Paranoia, anxiety all exacerbate the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Try doing breathing exercises.
Avatar n tn I really don't know where to post this, but here it goes....Since 2009 I've been on narcotics for severe back pain because a MRI found that I had two bulging disks. I had the MRI repeated because I started having nerve pain in my left leg, but then it went away. Anyways it was discovered that my disks aren't bad enough to cause my pain.
Avatar f tn these are all the abnormalities, any ideas what I could be suffering from? I have constant chest pain, diziness, headaches, joint pain, high resting heart rate, low BP, fevers, chills, fatigue.
Avatar m tn m a 26 year old female with extreme pain in my lower back that sometimes travels down my right leg. i have morning and evening stiffness, headaches at least once a week, and extreme fatigue. My ESR is 33 and my C-Reactive(non-cardio) is 12. So there is obviously something going on inside me but none of the doctors can tell me whats wrong or give me a clue on how to reduce my pain. I'm at my wits ends with all this sense its been going on for more than 10 years.
Avatar f tn Plus I get a lot of headaches, almost everyday. I suffer from severe distention in the stomach and constipation as well. The distention increases as the day progresses, and I burp a lot in the evenings, plus after meals. Tylenol / Ibuprofen does help with the headaches. I had an endoscopy and colonscopy done recently - they found nothing except for some polyps in the colon - which they said was not the cause for the symptons.
Avatar f tn It is good that the tests done were normal. Over-the-counter pain medications may cause rebound headaches if taken too much or for too long. Concussions and post traumatic headache may be felt for longer periods of time following even mild head trauma. Aside from headache, other symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, difficulties in concentration and mood and personality changes, may also be observed. talk to your doctor about this for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
