t have a neuro pain forum. We have a neuro member community, and an expert neuro forum, and even a Pain Management member community, but not a neuro pain forum. All of those forums are working correctly. Can you link which forum you are wondering about? We'll check it out.

what is fibromyalgia? i am curious. My mother n law suffers from it and i am just curious what it is.

I suffer from fibromyalgia and neurophy daily. When the pain is severe I can hardly stand it. Are there any new approaches to this condition. I am taking vicoden, cymbalta, pamelor and neurotyn?

with the recent XMRV findings, I wonder if it would be possible to separate fibromyalgia and ME/CFS (the recommended term for chronic fatigue) into 2 different forums. There are different issues between the 2 disorders.

Have you honestly reduced your amount of repetitive work yet? Some (a lot) fibro patients are going to have to cut back, perhaps significantly. Standards of cleanliness may take a negative adjustment, and family members will need to pitch in and/or an occasional maid service gets things caught up.

I have Fibromyalgia and can only work three days a week with days in between and have to sleep 12 hours and two short naps during the days off. This year if I do too much during one day, my upper back spasms into a neck/shoulder pain spasm and causes migraine, and I am bedridden. The only thing that provides relief is a hot bath and codeine and 2 muscle relaxants and one gravol. It has only been that bad for one year.

I have had depression and sleep apnea for many years now and the past two years I require ambien to go to sleep every night or I will not sleep. The pain I am having now is waking me up at night several times a week. My knee doctor prescribed Lyrica for me about 3 months ago and I tried it and could not take it because it made my head feel disoriented and headaches.

So I went to the fibromyalgia forum and no one is there. People post like every other day or something there.

I too like Mellie have fibromyalgia and only have occasional flair ups, I have a pain management doctor who does not treat my fibromyalgia but have a rheumatologist that does.

Iam suffering with neck and shoulder stiffness and also the sleep disorder for the last 15 years. Consulted with docors and I have got information that I have fibomyalgia. I am taking 5 HTP tab 50 mg 1 tab per day and occassionaly taking librocol tab as well. It was started on Jan 2008. My pain is not completely cured, however, it is controlled. Is fibromyalgia is curable disease. What steps I need to take to cure this disease. Really every day my pain continuing.

Hi ! I just responded to your other post. I checked and insomnia is a possible symptom of not only fibromyalgia, but chronic sinusitis as well. (I read in the allergy forum that you were diagnosed with chronic sinusitis). I think you should consider seeing an ENT physician, who can treat your chronic sinusitis and then seeing if that resolves all of your symptoms. Have you officially been diagnosed with fibro yet and if so, by whom ?

When I reach for the door knob,my hand jerks downward . I also have trouble doing small task with my hands.I feel really slow minded too.Does it make your muscle feel like a rubberband is around them? re experiencing pain in your entire body, you should check with your doctor to rule out other causes, from fibromyalgia to neurological disorders or even infection, and also do whatever possible to reduce the stress in your life.
