fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn I have seen my Primary Care Physician, Chiropractor, Neurologist, Rhuemetologist, Neuro Surgeon and I am still in trememdous pain. I find it difficult to get out of bed in the mornings. I wake up wondering when I might return to bed. If I have a good day and try to do something like work in the yard or go shopping I can figure on a day or more in bed. Presently I am taking Cymbalta, Valium, and now they want me to try Robaxin (another muscle relaxer) I tried Lyrica and could not take it.
639385 tn?1266210905 I feel like I need to get a new PCP and I know I have to find a new doctor for my pain management. This is such a stressful area for me, and I don't know what to do to make sure I don't end up in a situation that has become a variety of doctors shrugging their shoulders without anything to help matters. I just seem to be getting worse and desperately want a doctor or group of doctors that all believe in treating me in the same manner.
Avatar f tn t have an answer for you, but it might help if you said whether you are in California or Florida. They both have an Orange County.
Avatar n tn hi I just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant.. I live in Bakersfield California and I am trying to find a good doctor to go to..
Avatar f tn Best thing to do would be call the pediatricians in your area, see if they will do it in hospital you are delivering at or if you have to wait, and ask them how much. Also if you go into the offices ask some of the parents sitting around with boys or the nurses who they used. Ask at your obgyn too. A lot of obgyns see their patients after circumcisions have been done on their kids and so the nurses there will hear horror stories if there are any.
Avatar f tn Is pelvic adhesive disease, endometriosis, IC and fibromyalgia related in anyway?
Avatar f tn Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I am in Nevada and recently had to make a trip to Arizona, after looking and exhausting all of my options in California also. I went to the Mayo in Phoenix and had a great experience with Dr. Goodman. He does have a full autonomic lab and the QSart machine that is so hard to find.

Avatar n tn Does anyone know of any llmds in southern california (torrance, san pedro, long beach, irvine) areas or any llmds near there? Any advice on how to look for one? Yesterday I had one margarita and I was drunk! My friend was looking at me because usually it takes a couple drinks to get tipsy and later I had a horrible headache that motrin did not help. I guess I better stay away from alcohol until I know whats going on with my body.
Avatar f tn I spent a week in the hospital last month for my current symptoms and was never diagnosed, and discharged. I received blood work results from my primary care and they too are having a hard time diagnosing me. My Hemoglobin is 10.8 MCV 77 MCH 24.3 Platelets 509 Neutrophils (absolute) 7.2 monocytes 1.1 Protein, Total, Serum 8.7 Globulin Total 4.8 A/G Ratio 0.8.... these are all the abnormalities, any ideas what I could be suffering from?

773755 tn?1328119777 It is much more common in women, and it can be debilitating. Many conventional medical doctors do not think that fibromyalgia exists. In fact, many patients who believe they have this condition are often derided by their doctors. One reason many conventional doctors do not think fibromyalgia is a “real” condition is that no specific medication is effective for treating this illness. Some medications do help lower the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

One reason many conventional doctors do not think fibromyalgia is a “real” condition is that no specific medication is effective for treating this illness. Some medications do help lower the symptoms of fibromyalgia. These include analgesics such as Tylenol and Motrin. Some doctors will prescribe antidepressant medications, although there are many adverse effects.
Avatar f tn My daughter-in law has POTS. She and my son have been looking for a doctor in California, preferrably So. Cal. who specializes in POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). Pleas, if anyone knows of a doctor please pass the information onto to me so I can pass it onto them. She suffers so much!
Avatar m tn Everything you describe (except Conn's...I'm not familiar with that) I have read of being associated with Lyme Disease. The erythema migrans rash, which sometimes but not always looks like a bulls eye, is definitive for Lyme Disease. It is very common for untreated Lyme to develop strange and serious symptoms that stump doctors. I have noticed from stories I've read that Texas acquired Lyme usually has a different set of symptoms than New England based Lyme.
Avatar f tn He has all the records from the specialists I was seeing I don’t have the records from California only since I been here in Arkansas so I will probably just let him put me on what he feels comfortable like you said I don’t want to raise any flags by asking for something stronger he will eventually get to something that works for me I am only on the lowest dose of temadol maybe if he bumps it up it will help with the pain.
Avatar f tn It's weird you should post this. I went to the doctors in February with horrible muscle pain in my legs and arms. He did a b-12 which i was low a few months back. Came in with arm pain and not feeling good. He also checked my thyroid and D levels. My thyroid was off a few months ago also but is fine now. But the D test came back low. In the mean time I couldn't take it and went to the rhemy whom I just saw in Janurary.

Avatar m tn I had only once tested my hbsag quantity since my diagnosis two years ago. The test was done a few weeks ago and came out about 17000iu/ml. In other words quite high, that should warrant treatment immediately, in my opinion, though my dumb doctors won't put me on treatment yet. But I'm going to fight them and insist that I need antiviral treatment.
