Fibromyalgia diet plan weight loss

Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia diet plan weight loss

Avatar n tn This might be a failed experiment and not the end of your search for a diet that suits you. As for losing weight, it is a long, slow process when it works -- quick weight loss usually is temporary, whereas loss from a permanent change in lifestyle takes time but lasts. I have no idea what's going on, but have you had your thyroid checked? I'm sure you have, but it sounds a lot more like that than fibromyalgia, at least from the little you've detailed here.
Avatar n tn Are there any doctors who give these shots in Phila.for weightloss? Where can I get them on line?
Avatar n tn Hello all - I am 29/F - Stay at home Mom to a 3 year old (not b/c I psychically can't work but b/c we chose this for her) - for the past month I have been experiencing this discomforting "chest wall" pain - when I say chest wall that is what I am assuming that is what it is - basically there's this "sore spot" on the left part of my chest just above my breast (right under my collar bone) - - when press on it, it's tender - - I had this last month around the time I was ovulati
Avatar n tn I did not have to take it - I just had to monitor my blood sugar often and control it - really well with diet. - Has anyone had any expereice taking this as just a weight loss drug and are their serious side effects - if your not a full blown diabetic? My doc mentioned nothing about PCOS - I was recently 2 weeks late with my period (not preg. and tests showed not peri menopause)...I'm really nervous taking this stuff...
Avatar n tn It should take about 2 months to get to that dosage but I'm getting kinda excited hearing about the benefit of weight loss especially since it was weight loss pills (metabolife and xenedrine) that caused me to find out that I was epileptic in the first place! The doctor told me that i might get tingling in my fingers and i might feel a little dopy but happy dopy he described it as, so I figure i can deal with that! If I start losing weight at a rapid pace i'll definitely post again!
Avatar f tn 99 at Ikea, good deal!) so I hopped on it and I have lost over 20lbs. I was never trying to lose weight and this loss has come upon in the last 6 months. I'm not excercising any more then before can the tramadol just do that? Is it from being up all night? Is this a really bad sign or normal?
Avatar n tn I KNOW it is because I am not moving my body. I stayed on the Weight Watcher's diet for 6 more months, but it wasn't working any more because I WAS NOT MOVING MY BODY! I just sit. I don't eat large amounts of food, but I don't burn off what I am taking in.
Avatar n tn I have nicely defined arms and legs. It is really exciting to weigh yourself every morning and see weight loss success. It is so motivating. I highly recommend working out while on this protocol. Good luck to you all and I will keep you posted with my friends results. It helps to keep a journal of your weight and measurements - more motivation!
Avatar n tn I have been on Welbutrin for almost 4 months now and have noticed weight gain of about 8-10 pounds and I'm not eating anymore than I use to. I'm wondering if the 'weight-gain'/'weight-loss' issue is affected by whether or not people 'need' to lose weight before they start taking it. I consider myself to have a fairly high metabolism and I can maintain my weight quite easily. I know what causes me to gain weight and what I need to do to lose it.
Avatar n tn lol Feels kind of strange eating until I am about to puke and it's OK! I'm ready to start the VLCD diet tomorrow, ready for the weight loss to kick in. I haven't started my water consumption yet. That was one thing I was wondering about. I wasn't sure if that was supposed to happen during the load days or wait until the calories dropped but I've started drinking water today. Maybe as upinak said, it will help with the headaches. I hope!
Avatar f tn If it turns out your thyroid is okay, have you ever been tested for diabetes? I read recently that not only weight loss but weight gain can be a potential symptom for diabetes type II. I have some hairs from a scar I have to pluck since a dermatologist left the root of a mole behind, just shaving the surface of it. He left the wound with hairs sticking out of it, I suppose so I wouldn't have as big of scar. I know that hurts!
Avatar n tn I finally went to the Endo last week because of all the symptoms I am having and thought I was having an issue with my thyroid. Tests came back within the "normal" range. I am a 43 yr old female. I have Fibromyalgia and have for over 10 years, so I'm achy, but to me that's just "normal". I have gained (according to them 50lbs but according to my scale about 35lbs in 9 months). I work out 3-4 days a week. I have a pretty decent diet, not big on junk food.
Avatar f tn As the episodes continued, I felt the need to go on a diet. Nothing worked! My weight watchers coach basically accused me of lying about sticking to the program because I actually gained while I was on the plan. My legs and feet are now constantly swollen and I am in constant pain. I have pitted edema. I have been to every specialist under the sun and every test indicates I am in perfect health. Finally I found a doctor who believed me and found that I suffered from hypothyroid.

Avatar n tn I am now at my highest weight ever in my life time 200lbs. I paid a forturne to joined LA Weight Loss, I had had past success {30lb lost} with LA Weight Loss prior to the hysterectomy. I followed it to the letter for 12 weeks (which included a liquid fast, that I did twice) and lost NOTHING AT ALL. I was aggrevated, frustrated, humilated and I decided to give up on weight lost.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure that Wellbutrin is a weight loss miracle. For me, I've noticed that it curbs my appetite tremendously. I forget that I'm even hungry. I see that others feel the opposite, so it depends on the person. But I did switch drugs because I was on Zoloft for a year and a half and gained 30 lbs. and could not, for the life of me, lose any of it. I could eat 700 calories a day and exercise 30 minutes a day and still not lose one pound.
Avatar f tn I feel the steroid treatments may have effected my endocrine system and caused me to become insulin resistant. However following a 'south beach' diet I do NOT loose weight ( I HATE steroids) so I am trying to find a workable diet plan right now as I want to loose at least 120 lbs. ( Ideal weight according to my Dr is 150lbs for me, my gym coach wants 135-140lbs so I go w/ my Dr, she's smarter and knows me better) My 'fibro' dr wanted to say EVERYTHING was fibro related and was treating me w.
Avatar n tn I`m just now getting results using a weight loss clinic. Pills, shots, diet exercise, and not much food. And water, lots of water. I am still on effexor and probably will be for a while yet. This diet , is at least motivating me to really keep working at it and hopefully be able to get off the diet meds, and the effexor sometime, too.
Avatar n tn The other symptoms I have are hot flashes, getting irritable easier and just plan mad due to my weight. I think you were right.... starvation is next! Thank y'all for sharing.
Avatar n tn Oh, and no added sugar, use sweet and low or splenda instead. Anyhow, I lost seven pounds a week, no exercise. Then after a few months my weight loss slowed and I started eating three normal sized meals a day staying under 20 grams of fat still and started lifting weights. I lost another twelve pounds after that and now maintain somewhere between 186 and 192 depending on who knows what. After and only after losing all the weight I was going to we started eating two cheat meals per week.
Avatar n tn Give them up, it'll losing weight a lot easier. Every 3500 calories a week you cut out of your diet is about a pound off. But diet too much, your metabolism will drop. That is why you wnat to do some strengthening activities. See about getting a scale (Tanita) that gives you your body fat and weight in fractional increments. Weigh yourself daily, same time of day. You want to at least see the B.F. starting to creep down. Target heart rate depends on conditioning.
Avatar n tn I slept most of the time, felt flu-ish for days after each injection, developed a horrid Ribavirin cough that lasted almost the entire time, mouth sores, diarhea (sp), nausea, weight and hair loss, and severe depression among other things. Had to give up my career as a college professor and go on disability. But I cleared the virus at week 12 and I made it. Felt better almost immediately after stopping meds this January, but then sort of tapered off.
541465 tn?1219431486 I started a diet and exersize plan in July and I have lost 41lbs., and plan to lose another 40. I am addicted to running, and eating healthy. I am living proof that methadone does work and you can lose weight on it. As far as my teeth go, I do have problems, but I was a heroin and cocaine addict for 11 years. I am 30 now and I believe the drugs played a large part in my teeth being a mess.
Avatar n tn I understand that it takes a long time to get this drug out of your system and the weight loss is very slow. I think that most of the 4 pound weight loss is because I fasted for a few days and took UltraClear which is a powdered "metabolic detoxification" product you mix with water. I used to only be able to get it through a doctor but now it is avaibale on the internet. It is a de-tox flush that I thought would help get Lexapro out of my system. I think it has helped.
Avatar n tn I came back and within 2 weeks put on 10% of my body weight! Since the weight gain, I have been on a strict low carb diet and exercise only to gain weight! I have been researching like crazy to see what happened. Recently, I searched stomach bacteria and stomach virus because I'm bloated and feel like it has to do with getting sick in Europe. I'm freaking out since I searched stomach virus and found a ton of articles on the "OBESITY VIRUS" which is also called AD-36 or H5N1.
Avatar n tn I however, am looking for info on the correlation between toxin release via fat loss/weight loss. If there is anyway to bypass, or avoid "re-releasing" these toxins into the body. Also, could you elaborate on the colon aspects of detoxification. What foods/liquids should one consume in order to "clease" their colon of toxins? You seem to be knowledgable in that area.
242532 tn?1269553979 If these two roommates don't talk to each other they will just alternate in control and you will be a yo-yo dieter. You will diet and lose weight and then your other self will take over and you will gain all the pounds back plus about 10%. You may do this for decades with only fat and frustration as your reward for the thousands of days of dieting deprivation. Wouldn't you be better off talking to your skull mate? Stop making you binge Of course you would...
Avatar n tn I also heard of other place that people are taking like 5 different prescribed pills and lose the weight quickly. they are also given a stricter diet plan besides just being told 1200 cal a day. I think with the phen u have to exercise some what to get the weight to come off, and I need energy to do it. I had lost about 10lbs and went back up about 4lbs so lost total about 6 lbs only since Nov 07'. I am looking for any help or advice!!!! Thanks for any advice.
