Avatar n tn This might be a failed experiment and not the end of your search for a diet that suits you. I have no idea what's going on, but have you had your thyroid checked? I'm sure you have, but it sounds a lot more like that than fibromyalgia, at least from the little you've detailed here.

Avatar f tn I've never been able to lose weight without exercise, but many people do. Cutting simple carbs, such as those found in sugar, products made with white flour, white rice, most processed foods will go a long way toward helping you lose weight. Center your meals around veggies, high quality/low fat protein, such as lean meats, low/no fat dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds, whole grains etc. Most important is to make water your beverage of choice. Even diet sodas will not help you lose weight.

Avatar f tn You're looking to lose almost 30 pounds in 1.5 months and that's almost impossible to do safely. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week, so that means the most you should plan on losing is about 10-14 pounds. There's no reason why you shouldn't get started, though. The first thing you should do is eliminate sodas or other fizzy, sugary drinks from your diet, along with sugary, processed foods.
