Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia causes leg pain

fibromyalgia

Avatar f tn Hi, Fibromyalgia can cause chronic deep muscle pain. There are many ways to decrease this muscle pain and one of them is water exercises or water aerobic. Warm water will be very comforting. The exercise will increase the blood flow to the muscles and tendons and thereby decrease the pain. http://www.webmd.

Avatar f tn Fibromyalgia is widespread pain throuout the entire body,it actually hurts to be touched.Maybe a possible pinched nerve or sciatica?
1023657 tn?1251844941 One of them is exercise. Fibromyalgia pain is muscle pain and the most important therapy for muscle pain is regular, gentle and low-impact exercise. It keeps muscles conditioned and healthy and decreases the amount of discomfort. It is very important to try low-stress exercises such as walking, swimming, water aerobics, and biking rather than straining exercises such as weight training. Heavy exercises worsen the symptoms.
Avatar m tn Is there a medical condition where a person have a very low sensitivity to pain, despite the kind of pain whether its a inner pain like stomach pain and broken bones or external pain like the amputation of a limb or a deep cut in skin ? I read about the term " Threshold of pain " ... which talks about the point where a person start to feel pain. Can someone have a very low point, that is to say, he won't be bothered with a broken bone ? or amputation of a arm or leg ?
2010625 tn?1329372056 I was just wondering what causes Fibromyalgia? Can Anxiety, Depression/Bipolar, IBS, or Genital Herpes cause it?
Avatar n tn The neck causes pain in my upper back, shoulders and arms. The low back causes pain that shoots down my right leg, similar to what you described. It is horrible. I am also having trouble getting a doctor to take it seriously. The last pain guy I went to admitted that the low back and leg pain was from the herniated disc, but he did nothing for me saying it's *mostly fibromyalgia.* I don't know why doctors do this.
Avatar f tn where just slight pressure causes pain. There are no diagnostic test to confirm this diagnosis. Along with this pain, many suffer with additional symptoms such as fatigue, pain in muscles after use can make some people nearly bedridden. Some physician's think its an autoimmune disorder. Over sensitive nerves under the skin. Causes are unknown. Some have experienced these symptoms after a traumatic injury, or perhaps a stressful event. There is no cure only symptom management.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been taking hydrcodene 10/660 2 a day for about 4 months. I have fibromyalgia and take them for the pain. I have started acupuncture and feeling better and want to wean off. Here are my questions: 1. Can stopping the pill cause throbbing pain in your legs? I have tried to take just a 1/2 or 1 a day and my legs really hurt but that is also the reason I started them as the fibro causes great leg/body pain so not sure if it's withdrawal or a combination of both. 2.

Avatar f tn In the last few months I have begun to notice hypersensitivity including pain and temperature sensitivity in the skin on my legs. Sometimes one at a time, sometimes both and sometimes as far up as my buttocks, but never my feet. The slightest touch can be painful such as if there was a burn or a scratch or a rash - though none of these has ever been present. Also cool temperatures such as sitting on a toilet, or touching something cooler than body temperature can be excruciating.
Avatar f tn The RLS causes a spasm-like deep aching pain in the calves. Also, the lower spinal injury itself, it causes a very sharp pain. And the rest of my spine injuries cause my torso to hurt, much like fibromyalgia, nothing can be done for it to give me total relief. I will tell you what medication I take for the low back and RLS, in case you haven't thought of them. I take opiate drugs for my RLS.

If I'm sitting or laying down it is hard for me to stand on my legs when I get up the pain is so bad. After I take a few steps it gets better. It is also hard for me to go up and down stairs. When I'm sitting or lying down there is a constant throbbing pain. It does feel better if I lay on the floor on my stomach with a heater blowing on me.
