fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn I have Fibromyalgia and now they are checking me for Cushings is there any relationship?
Avatar n tn multiple white matter lesions, frontal and parietal, irritable bowel, asthma, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, multiple chemical sensitivity and spondyloarthropathy. Difference is I know what happened. I expereinced heavy exposures to multiple indoor moulds and mycotoxins. The above is the unfolding, an immune system domino effect essentially. Toxins... formaldehyde offgasing from new carpets or OSB - particle board used in new buildings can cause such lesions and various tumors and cancers.
875863 tn?1271606985 Hi! I have Fibromyalgia, Asthma, IBS, and both incontinences along with Major Clinical Depression. I have been working with a Chiropractor for over 20 years. I have "episodes" we call them, of extreme weakness, where I have no choice but to lay down, and compose my muscles until I can move again. It feels like little electrodes sputing from the bone outward like tiny lighning bolts when it begins. It protudes throughout my body.
1373852 tn?1307846648 Since no one knows what fibromyalgia is, let alone what causes it, it's impossible to say. Antibiotics, however, destroy the good bacteria in the intestinal tract, and many in the natural med world believe overuse of antibiotics, even when necessary, is one cause of fibromyalgia. Food intolerances are also felt to be culprits. Sleep deprivation or bad sleep is felt to be a potential cause. Or maybe these are catalysts, rather than pure causes.
Avatar n tn I have had increasing pain in my joints and stiffness along with sleeplessness and all the other symptoms of Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed just this week with it after my Pediatricians put all the symptoms together over the past yr or so. I am double jointed and this to causes me pain mostly in my feet, knees, ankles, elbows, wrists and neck. Could long exposure to these molds and spores cause this?
Avatar n tn How do I safely discontinue oxycontin use without causing myself to have another flareup of fibromyalgia? I believe my condition is now to the point where I can relieve the pain with non-narcotic pain relievers but I'm afraid that coming off of opiates after having been on them continuously for 8 years now will just cause me to go into another flareup. How will I know the difference between a fibromyalgia flareup and the pain and fatigue of withdrawal?
Avatar n tn If you have not had psychiatric evaluation for this disorder, by a psychiatrist knowledgeable about the diverse ways this disorder can present, you should seek such evaluation. Finally, there is the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. But fibromyalgia does not cause cough and usually not, shortness of breath.
Avatar f tn I have uncontrolled asthma attacks every single moring. the shortness of breath is so severe i can hardly get to my emergency inhaler, which is about a foot from my bed on the night stand. i have an air purifier in the bedroom and keep the door closed constantly. this has always helped or practically eliminated my coughing, shortness of breath, etc...now it happens every morning, it is full blown and i truly believe that i would die if i couldn't get to my inhaler.
267076 tn?1270677931 (all along the T4 - T7 area I think) When I use my arms - as in cooking, cleaning, reaching for things, driving etc - it causes the pain to be worse and I get tightness in my chest. I used to think I was having some kind of heart problem but the Drs all say it's not my heart (I've seen several Drs for this) The back Dr I went to said the back pain is from the Fibro. Does anyone else have the pain in that area? I've had MRI and xrays of my back and it shows my discs are fine.
773755 tn?1328123377 I have studied this online and I'm planning to take the instructor's course in 2014, as I want to teach this to my my little nephew back in Greece who has asthma, a good friend who has bronchitis and asthma and anyone else who can benefit from it. Some of the conditions it can help alleviate symptoms and bring improvement: NERVOUS SYSTEM 1. Headaches; Migraines 2. Vertigo 3. Fainting (sometimes with epileptic spasms) 4. Insomnia, drowsiness and other sleep difficulties 5. Tinnitus 6.
875863 tn?1271606985 Have trouble with breathing at times. (I also have Asthma) But this isn't Asthma. It feels heavier, more compressed, but not all the time. I have to take breaks about every 5 feet, to regroup my muscles, and breathe. My hips are what causes me to break. They get sore and weak. Then the rest of me follows. There was construction going on where I work. and I was in the middle of it all. We took in dust particles. But my feet hurt before that.
Avatar f tn My daughter is a cosmetologist and she told me the topo causes the hair follicles to close. What has fallen out, wont grow back, but the hair loss should stop when you discontinue the drug. The Topo really messed up my cycle too. I think my adrenals took a hard hit from just two weeks on the drug. For me it was not worth it. I was stupid, depressed and started having panic attacks on it. I would loose blocks of time. Huge blocks.

1550149 tn?1340004330 however, poor nutrition, bacterial infection, abnormal bowel function, lack of oxygen, etc. may also be the cause. One of the major causes of arthritis, fibromyalgia, tendonitis and other related diseases and disorders are high toxic levels, from toxic drugs and foods, toxins the environment, etc. A common finding in arthritis is bacterial and candida overgrowth in the digestive system, which is called "gut dysbiosis.
Avatar n tn My question (finally) is how much of this is depression related, head injury related or could it be that I have developed Fibromyalgia? Some things you should know are I have very severe asthma, have had adrenal insufficiency in the past (before the accident) as well as steriod induced diabetes (both of which are fine now according to my blood work).
Avatar m tn ( I have severe back pain and other bizarre symptoms so they have done every test in the book on me, with no answers but Fibromyalgia and CFS, degenerative thoracic disc- which NONE are supposed to be anywhere near the intense pain my back stays in) The one thing I am pretty certain I can say is that this red hot rash, along with my "fevers" are all symptoms of allergic reactions I am having to overstimulating my body.
Avatar n tn At various times I have been told I have brochitus, asthma, fibromyalgia, but none of the treatments have eased it. The only thing that hashelped is antiseptic cough sweets which |i purchase from the pharmacy.
Avatar f tn Hello, The chronic pain can be due to fibromyalgia but the causes of shortness of breath need to be found out. For fibromyalgia get prescribed antidepressants and muscle relaxants apart from the pain killers. Shortness of breath can be due to asthma but anxiety attacks are also known to cause breath shortness and pulmonary and cardiac causes are the other chief causes of shortness of breath. I suggest you to get these causes ruled out from a physician.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with asthma for 14 years, originally as exercise induced and only on Albuterol before exercise, diagnosis changed to asthma in 2004. I do also have fibromyalgia In the past few months I have noticed that I am becoming short of breath during normal daily activities such as eating, talking, etc. I am also continuously yawning, especially when I exercise.

Avatar n tn Hi, It is important to rule out fibromyalgia and hypocalcemia as causes for these muscle twitches and spasms. Other possibility is magnesium deficiency. You can think about taking magnesium supplements after checking with your GP.

Avatar f tn My medical history includes asthma, fibromyalgia, IBS, and endometriosis. I had an uncomplicated lap hysterectomy 4 days ago and felt great up until yesterday. Yesterday i had a sudden onset of sharp pain under my ribs on the right side. The pain increased with inspiration and some position changes. The pain eases spontaneously. I had a normal CBC, CMP, and lipase. My ddimer was elevated as expected. I had a CT PE which was normal and an abdominal ultrasound of the RUQ which was also normal.
Avatar m tn I was diaginosed with Fibromyalgia when I was 28 and I am now 45. I have done very well over the yrs and the only medication I use to help is Daypro. I only take it when I am in a lot of pain, for the most part I can tolerate the pain but the tiredness bothers me more. The past several months I have had severe muscle cramping in many parts of my body. My hands, neck, back, hips, legs, ankles and feet.
Avatar n tn If you do experience shortness of breath with coughing or exercise, or exercise causes you to cough, you could have asthma. Cough variant asthma is a type of asthma in which coughing is a major symptom. Your other long list of problems suggests you may have either chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia? Sometimes you can have more than one problem going on. As far as the bleeding, what is your age? Are you maybe going thru perimenopause? It could be a hormonal problem going on also.
Avatar f tn It's not uncommon to have RA and FM together, or Lupus and FM, or Thyroid disease and FM, etc... At this point in time the causes of Fibromyalgia aren't completely clear and there are a few different theories. I do think that in some way FM and CFS/ME are connected. I think that somehow there is a virus or infection involved at some point in time- either in the past or present, and I also believe there is damage to the nervous system and somehow the endocrine system as well.
Avatar n tn It just seems weird and not just a coincidence that all of them are deteriorating? I've also had chronic fatigue. For this doctors have said I have Asthma, even tough I don't outwardly have the symptoms of asthma other than being tired. I've been diagnosed with depression and Fibromyalgia. Yet I still have these symptoms and more keep adding on, every doctor I see comes back to that it has to do with the depression or the fibromyalgia.
Avatar m tn It could be many things. I have IBS, anxiety, asthma, neck issues, PVC, an enlarged left ventricle and fibro. I have be very careful when I have persistent chest pain and begin by addressing each of the above to see if I can stop or control the symptom which may be causing my chest pain. HOWEVER, If this is new to you plz go to the doctor ASAP.
Avatar m tn If the pain is on the outside, it can be costochondritis, which causes pain and tenderness at points where your ribs attach to your breastbone. The inflammation around the joint area gives sharp pain on taking a breath. This can also cause tenderness on pressing the area which pains. An orthopedic doctor can diagnose this for you. Generally there is no cause. However it can be due to infection, blow, injury, or fibromyalgia. It usually goes away on its own.
