Avatar f tn I don't have fatigue, maybe because I am taking Vitamins, and also Ensure. I eat well. My hands sometimes they get hot. When the weather is cold, my symptoms seemed to dissapear. the temperature in my house has to be set 69 degrees. Do you have these symptoms too?
Avatar f tn He said that there is really nothing that you can do about it besides go to physical therepy and exercise, and take all my vitamins. But one thing I couldn't get him to understand is that I'm not even able to hardley get up out of the bed, much less evercise. You just cant get these doctors to understand anything, and get this he told me that there is no medicine at all that would help.
Avatar m tn and my teeth started falling, E-cod (for Omega 3 and Vit E), Rusvostatin (Cholesterol increases as a gift of fibromyalgia) Co-Q10 (antioxidant and energizing cells), Thyroxine (hyerthyroid another gift), Cobadex forte (multivitamine). I am active and leading normal life without pains. I study and experiment too. I feel that we should maintain good level of vitamins so that proper environment is there for glads to act and signal properly. Recently I found that my Potassium level has gone up.

Take omega 3 fish and flax oils and gingko biloba along with good b vitamins / multivitamins . Brain fog is common in chronic pain conditions . Avatar f tn I have Fibromyalgia and can only work three days a week with days in between and have to sleep 12 hours and two short naps during the days off. This year if I do too much during one day, my upper back spasms into a neck/shoulder pain spasm and causes migraine, and I am bedridden. The only thing that provides relief is a hot bath and codeine and 2 muscle relaxants and one gravol. It has only been that bad for one year.
Avatar m tn every medicine I had been put on has been problems and I have been taken off all for Fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and arthritis. Now, my right eye is getting fuzzy, not every day, but more days all the time. My doctor has said although I need back surgery, be careful doing that because it will possibly make your fibromyalgia worse. Will I ever be able to try medicines again? I have an allergy from them...swollen tongue and throat type but, can that ever change???/ Thanks.
Avatar f tn They can eliminate all the other rheumatoid and autoimmune disorders and confirm a fibromyalgia diagnosis. They will also be able to prescribe meds that will effectively treat your symptoms. Don't give up until you find the combo that works right for you. I've had fibro my whole life and have had to fight to get any relief. Hot baths and heating pads are my best friends.
Avatar f tn I would particularly investigate super foods such as spirulina and bee pollen for energy and detoxification, and adaptogenic herbs to help with the adrenals such as the ginsengs and such. Which ones, however, will depend on your mental state.
Avatar n tn The two types of pain are different. The fibromyalgia is primarily a pain in the muscles and tendons, whereas the neuropathies are of the nerve fibers. The first presents with soreness and achiness or tenderness, and the second, burning, or electrical type buzzing, or sharp cutting pain etc. Diabetes and peripheral neuropathies often go together. Also, Asthma can masquerade as COPD, and visa versa. So I don't know if any of that helped, but it's additional information.
Avatar m tn I take vitamins daily in order to keep myself happy and healthy. B-Complex (great for your mood) and Omega 3-6-9 (improves concentration/mostly dissolves my fibro fog.
Avatar n tn I found out I had low thyroid since being here and Ana test positive. I saw a Rhymotologist yesterday and he ran more test and will let me know Thursday. Have any of you had the hot hands and swelling on extremities. I have had Fibro for years, but never these problems. I feel really worn down...so frustrating.
675329 tn?1297291978 It cripples every mind that I've learned about. And I can't believe you're on Serequel and Buspar and Wellbutrin. Frankly your doctor must see a serious mental annomally that he's treating. I'm not wanting to be offensive. It's just an unusual combination and amount to just treat the typical concurrent depression that often accompanies Fibromyalgia. Plus the only treatment I'm hearing is prescriptions, no other therapies.
4437322 tn?1354574957 Nutrition is SO important, too. Doing Gluten free... big help with digestive issues and tons of vitamins and supplements. Lots of good info out there! God Bless...
Avatar n tn I got on some more sites and read alot about B-12 (and its different forms). Lots of people with fibromyalgia report numbness and tingling like feelings and I saw where the B vitamins have helped them. I used to take alot of vitamins but as I began other programs I limitted what I took so that my clinical picture was more clear. I also read where most people have a normal blood level of B-12 and folate but the vitamin, whether oral, or sl or inj. really helped.
Avatar n tn In going u should have ur thyorid check along with ur levels of ur minerals and vitamins...B12, D....calcium, potassium...magnessium....all can have major affects on ur body.Plus at ur age u have a montly cycle that affects u as well, hormones play a big part in how we feel. 4861077 tn?1360159739 Hi all just a quick question I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and live with pain everyday. I find it hard to do all my daily things to the point that it hurts to peel potatoes what kind of help can I get for this as it is all new to me. 1692515 tn?1306273648 I have been told my mother that at 2 years old I put a bobbie pin in an electrical outlet and she had to get a mop to dislodge me. My question is could my fibromyalgia, reoccuring shingles, and electric shock feeling be caused by this and what can be done to stop it.
573297 tn?1304712740 Hello I was diagnosed with bi polar when I was 23 the prob is if your diet is bad you can experience symptoms of bi polar bc of a lack of certain vitamins and minerals also its genetic you are either born with it or your not. With fibromyalgia you can acquire this syndrome at any age and once you have it you have it forever. No one can make someone understand the pain fibromyalgia brings.
Avatar f tn Instead, I have found myself working with a more holistic type doctor who handles hormones, thyroid issues and adrenal issues as well as chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. He is also a PCP doctor, so he takes my insurance. I also see my Rheumatologist as well to make sure I have the specialist managing everything because I am on a Intermittent FMLA leave from work.
Avatar f tn It's frustrating and debilitating at times, doctors make you feel like your crazy. I went into pain management and I just want to caution you....it can be a slippery slope. Try to learn to manage your fibro with diet, exercise (even if it hurts) and alternative medicine. I never abused my pills, I took what my doctor prescribed and never more but my body is physically addicted to these pills I've taken for years and years. I just finished detoxing at home and let me tell you it ain't fun.
Avatar n tn Had many problems and medical conditions, such as the jerky legs and arms and aches, as well as arthritis and a back problem with every gastro problem there is-never thought they were related till I matched EVERY symptom doing research plus every precursor (like hypothyroidism), and have family history.
434278 tn?1324709825 I have done plenty of research on the subject. The only meds I'm on is Armour Thyroid and Vit. D. I do takes tons of vitamins and herbs trying to get well. But I've been sick with them and sicker without them. Trust me, I'm almost dead w/o them. Thanks for the internet site. I'll check it out!!
10059661 tn?1407568770 Thought you might appreciate the info in this link. It is an interview with a good thyroid doctor. I think you will really like to know that, "If you remember it was a long time before the medical profession admitted that there were two new diseases to appear in the world that were not there before. Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia were non-existent before 1980. This is seven years after the 1973 consensus meeting. So where did these two new diseases come from?
Avatar f tn To me, and again, my opinion only. The brain fog comes from the medications taken for fibro. A lot of people use 2-3 different things for certain symptoms, to me (my opinion only), that would be a cause for the "brain fog" so many complain about. I take only OTC, (everyone is different) aleve & tylenol for my aches. It works for me. Have you thought about CBT for your insomnia? Cognitive Behavioral Thearpy.
5682570 tn?1372290919 I have fibromyalgia and hepatitis c. I have a constant rash and itching, sometimes better, sometimes worse. It is very annoying, I feel like I might have a thyroid problem but doc says she can tell by my blood work I do not have a problem. I do not agree with that, but maybe it is the fibro or the Hepatitis C. All the doc gave me was hydrocortisone 2 %. Not much help there though. My rash is on my forearms and sides of hip and lower belly. I have had it over 6 months now.
Avatar f tn A good source of affordable and gluten free vitamins is at Swanson Vitamins. Just Google it and you'll find it. A good one to try for chronic pain is boswellia. It's one of those that either works really well for someone or it doesn't, but it won't hurt most people. You just have to make sure you tell your doctors that boswellia has blood thinning properties similar to NSAIDS, because most doctors don't have the first clue what boswellia is.
Avatar f tn i need good vitamins i have fibromyalgia and need energy. i live in pain everyday.

Avatar f tn Celiac disease affects the intestinal tract, and its symptoms can vary from mild gas, bloating, and loose stools to life-threatening conditions like malabsorption of essential vitamins and nutrients, weight loss, and malnutrition. But celiac disease is somewhat rare. Buy the book Dangerous Grains, By James Braly, M.D., and coauthor Ron Hoggan, M.A. Dr. Braly estimates that 90 million Americans may suffer from non-celiac gluten sensitivity. In fact, he and Mr.
Avatar f tn This is called ACES therapy and is a very good combination of vitamins and nutrients. Vitamins A, C and E are called antioxidants. They are useful to combat free- radical damage at the cellular level. Vitamin E, in particular, improves circulation and reduces muscle pain. Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
