Is pelvic adhesive disease, endometriosis, IC and fibromyalgia related in anyway?

It has gotten worse now both sides hurt and my knees give out on me. My doctor sent me to a pain specialist and they said it was nerve pain and wanted to inject me with steriods right where it hurt. I am terrified of needles and so of course this isn't an option for me. I was also told it may be fibromyalgia but after taking Lyrica I felt like I was losing my mind. I have tried to live with the pain and I haven't been able to work for two years.

Hi Ettebette, I am so sorry that you are having severe neck pain. I have been where you are. Years of pain and no diagnosis. I was finally diagnosed and my pain was "justified" but it took 15 years for me. If you have had MRI's and CT's and nothing is showing than it is doubtful you have a disc or structural problem. Muscle spams and muscular pain can be just as painful as a disc problem.

nerve pain, neck pain, groin pelvic pain, head aches, and severe diffuse body pain and allover aches and deep heavy aches and leg weaknes. Does anyone else have a variety of pain condtions? what is your FIBRO Like? what caused yours, if you know? How long have you had this pain condtion?

Every month I would be in pain another day prior to my period so by the time a year came I was cramping 2 weeks prior to my period and the pain became very severe. I went to my gp and had an exam and pap smear and everything was normal. I also had a pelvic ultrasound which was also normal. (Which was all done in May) In June I seen an ob/gyn and was put on seasonique.

Then my foot and head started tingling. Then the headaches and body aches began. Next came the pelvic pain, stiffness, and sore muscles. I have random tender spots from head to toe. The pain is sometimes achy, sometimes sharp, sometimes my body is tender to touch. Several months into all of this my bladder started working overtime. Now I even have trouble walking or getting up from sitting in the floor because I feel so stiff. When I wake up in the morning I feel absolutely horrible.

Unfortunately we see a subset if patients with interstitial Cystitis who have a whole group of other inflammatory and/or pain disorders and hypersensitivities like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. If you have pelvis pain, pressure or discomfort related to bladder filling, associated with urinary frequency and/or urgence you may have IC. You do need to see a Urologist that specializes in female urology, or Urogynecologist.

30 AM, I developed pelvic pain, alongwith the intense pain upon urination. I noted that I had blood in my urine. I ended up going to the ER, because it was 2:00 AM. The reason that I am mentioning this, is because I fear that if I ignore further pain upon urination, that I could develop this bloody urine.

Hello! My left leg is hurting from the knee to the hip. The bend of the leg or pelvic area hurts to walk. I have fibromyalgia. This pain just started about a week ago. I can't sleep on either side. I have to sleep on my back. If I sleep on my back to long it starts to hurt. I was told I have three fibroid tumors. Can they be the pain I am having or can it be something else. The pain is severe!!!!!!! What can I do?

I ended up with a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia when in fact the top 1/4 of my sternum was sitting horizontally because I had an undiagnosed dislocated Sterno-Manubrial Joint (angle of louis). There was an injury that seemed minor at the time. HE PUTS LOUD MUSIC AND MAKES LOUD SOUNDS OF A SHIP HORN AND PUTS THOSE SOUNDS THROUGH A MICROPHONE, WAKES ME UP AND MY HEAD IS POUNDING WITH PAIN. CAN HIS NOISE AFFECT MY FM? CAUSE I GET WORST WHEN HE STRESSES ME OUT WITH THAT AWFUL SOUNDS HE MAKES.

20 year old female. 2 months ago, I began experiencing sudden tingling all throughout my body. It was incredibly intense, as though ants were crawling all over me--that skin crawling sensation. I couldn't even sleep it was so strong. Gradually, the intensity decreased, but it still hasn't gone away, and I've developed new, equally random-seeming symptoms. I have an intermittent, but always painful to the touch, sharp pain on my lower right abdomen/pelvis.

Does anyone have both dx and yet their pdoc doesn't believe them? I got diagnosed like 8 years ago I think (kind of don't remember...the exact time) but now this year I get dx of bipolar and my pdoc doesn't believe I have fibromyalgia...I know I have the pain....and it feels like it is coming back, and if so this is the fourth flare up (one lasting two years, one lasting 6 months to a year, one was three months because of the depo-provera shot) what do I do to get taken seriously?

I have Fibromyalgia and horrible pelvic pain. My doctor just startedd me on Savella. Does anyone have any experiences with this new med they want to share with me?

At this point before you do anything you need to obtain some pain relief. Please discuss this with your PCP. Begin and open and honest discussion and advise him/her regarding the pain you are experiencing. There is no need to have chronic pain that is not treated. If he/she is unwilling or unable to order narcotic pain medications for you than ask for a referral to a PMP. That should be your first step.

I am in my mid 30's and have always had a healthy sex drive. I have no difficulty achieving orgasm, with or without a partner. I have never experienced any sort of pain or discomfort during intercourse or during orgasm...until very recently.

I just saw my DR 2 weeks ago and about the joint pain and fatigue and she ran ANA (neg), RA Factor (neg), SED Rate (neg), Vitamin D -- showed deficient at 30ng/ml. I am now on a regimen of 50,000UI of Vitamin D for 12 weeks with reevaluation at the end.

Now I have been experiencing a lot of pain in my inner thighs and around my pelvic area which I attribute to the increase of activity, my fibromyalgia, polyarthritis and sjögren's syndrome. Now for the past 3 or 4 days I am also having problems obtaining or maintaining an erection and have pain and numbness going to my scrotum. Is this due to the increase of activity and/or current health issues or signs of erectile dysfunction?

Fibromyalgia is nerve disorder and affects as many women under 50 as over. It also impacts men, therefore, relating the illness to the reduction of female hormones is quite doubtful. Regarding pain, it may stop completely in patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but it won't just come and go. If you're getting the pain only during certain days of your cycle, then it may very well be due to hormones, but not fibro. Sincere hopes you feel better and find the root of your discomfort.

I'm in my 50's and I have been living with severe IC that can flare up from day to day. My urologist treats me with amiltryptiline 50mg at night and Elmiron 3x a day and rescue instillations. Besides that he says there is nothing else he can do. He says when he looked inside my bladder it was the worst case he'd seen. Some days I can manage whereas other days I have extremely sharp pains in the urethra vulva region and spasms and burning where I can't even stand to sit down.

I am 25/F and have had chronic pelvic pain for over 6 years and pain in my lower sternum for over a year with no diagnosis.
