I have fibromyalgia so and am in grad school and working so fatigue is my middle name . I wear a mouth guard and washed real good thinking maybe there was some bacteria on it or something .
I have Fibromyalgia and I am having trouble sleeping sometimes I'll go for 3 to 4 days without sleep is there anything that I should be doing to help me sleep.Also is there any good medications that could help me sleep better? Help me I need sleep!!!!!!!!!!
just purchased a book titled "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia Fatigue", and in it the author (Dr. R. Paul St. Amand, M.D.) mentions a protocol that he himself uses, and that he also tells all of his fibro patients to try. It requires you to take upto, but not limited to 2400mg of guaifenesin (Mucinex) daily. He says that with this protocol, you will notice that your symptoms will at first become worse, but will gradually disappear.

Benedryl is best. Its a class b drug.
Does Mucinex help thin your cervical mucus like the Robitussin is supposed to. Its active ingredient is guaifsen (sp?).

I am 30 weeks pregnant, would it be safe to use maximum strength mucinex fast max severe congestion &cough? I called my doctor while I was in the store looking &the nurse said mucinex is fine to take but then I read online it's very dangerous &I have already taken 2 doses :/ so worried right now just wondering if anyone else knows for sure.
Well, that would depend on each person. I like mucinex to keep mucus flowing. It thins it. They also tell you to drink a lot of fluids as well to help keep mucus thin. the reason why that is important is because if it is thick, it's more likely to stick and clog and that's when it can fester and become a secondary bacterial infection (bronchitis, sinusitis). For a cough, I use Delsom which is an otc cough suppressant.
I had the white coated tongue this weekend. For me... this is something that has come & gone for many years now. I take Mucinex and these chinese herbs that remove dampness and then it goes away.
For the past week I have been sick and just ignoring it. Yesterday morning i took some mucinex D and went to a high school wrestling tournament. An hour after taking the medicine i felt the pressure in my head get really bad and i fell to my back. Things started to get darker and my body got very tingly. I thought I was going to have a seizure or asthma attack or just die on the spot. I was like this for about 15 seconds saying i needed an ambulance.
Thanks a lot for the help. I am pretty much sure I'm going to the doctor next week. I really hope it's not asthma. It did seem as though mucinex helped out a bit. I was able to jog another mile and a half yesterday just fine. I'll look into your advice. Thanks!
