fibromyalgia

5682570 tn?1372287319 I have fibromyalgia and hepatitis c. I have a constant rash and itching, sometimes better, sometimes worse. It is very annoying, I feel like I might have a thyroid problem but doc says she can tell by my blood work I do not have a problem. I do not agree with that, but maybe it is the fibro or the Hepatitis C. All the doc gave me was hydrocortisone 2 %. Not much help there though. My rash is on my forearms and sides of hip and lower belly. I have had it over 6 months now.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have taken different medicines and nothing seems to help. Some help me sleep but that's it. The worse thing to me is the fatigue, I feel like I'm exhausted every day all day !! I also recently have something new happening, My legs will start itching then a bruise will appear on my top thigh, not a normal looking bruise but like little purple and black dots. I have 3 now in about the past 3 months.
Avatar n tn m not sure where they are coming from, I have had significant hair thinning over the last two years and they keep checking my thyroid but it seems to check out fine, also I have extreme episodes of all over itching that is VERY intense. The doctor acted as if all these were no big deal and told me to take benadryl. Should I be concerned? Get another opinion? Would the hair loss and itching be linked to the lump and high lymphocytes?
Avatar m tn Doctor taking me off prendison gradually, is that why i have itching blotchy skin and bubbles or blisters below my eyes?

Avatar f tn They can eliminate all the other rheumatoid and autoimmune disorders and confirm a fibromyalgia diagnosis. They will also be able to prescribe meds that will effectively treat your symptoms. Don't give up until you find the combo that works right for you. I've had fibro my whole life and have had to fight to get any relief. Hot baths and heating pads are my best friends.
Avatar f tn Have both fibromyalgia and chronic migraine headaches. Positive ANA with no definitive diagnosis. Ideas? Thoughts? Tips? Benadryl helps some for itching. This is 4th day with rash, still having headache and stomach upset, no new meds, no new foods or chemicals.
1184051 tn?1264435308 /or RA and when I told him my symptoms he said they were all due to fibromyalgia. It really made me mad that he wouldn't take them seriously and didn't even want to treat me for fibro. I'm going to press my family doctor to start a treatment regimen.
520191 tn?1355635402 I wish I could get to the bottom of it and get some answers from my doctor. Does anyone get these issues and have Fibromyalgia?
5693793 tn?1372522288 I discovered that after he got a bit older and I went back to the cheaper detergents that I started itching again and figured out my itching was due to something in the cheaper detergents I was using. I did some research and found out about all the chemicals that are in common detergents and decided to use dreft when I could but since it was so expensive I tried to find cheaper alternatives with less harsh chemicals or dyes.
Avatar m tn Very few outbreaks - due to valtrex and some...ability to deal with stress. Now that I am under more stress and fibromyalgia/asthma, I am finding that I have had more outbreaks than I would like! Valtrex does help, but what I would really be interested in is something that is topical like an ointment, oil, etc... that can be applied directly to the genitals in order to relieve the itching/burning, etc... I have read online about taking supplements re: L-Lysine - but still no ointments.

Avatar f tn Do you have allergies? The itching all over may be related to something you ate or used that you are sensitive to. The pain in the scapula could be from an injury? Did you injure yourself somehow? Tingling can be from an injury. We need a lot more information before we can offer much advice.
Avatar f tn I now have unexplained low grade fever, hand/foot joint pains, bloating, diarrhea/constipation, severe fatigue/malaise and an unexplained rash that causes severe itching, for 2 to 3 days, dries up, then another patch will appear some where else. I have had several blood test all of which are negative for ANA (had one POSITIVE ANA 2 years ago), Lymes, RMSF, and several others. My protein, globulin, albumin, calcium and RBC counts are now low. This is a new finding. PLEASE HELP diagnose me.

1071027 tn?1258574445 If I press on a sore area, I experience severe pain. Within a few minutes, it dies down and turns to itching. Eventually it all calms down. What is this? I have cervical myelopathy and fibromyalgia. Could be the latter, I guess. I don't know if I should say something to the doctor or just live with it. It only hurts when I press on it. Sound familiar to anyone?
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with post viral syndrome which is from what I understand like chronic fatigue and fibromayalgia had a baby. I don't even know why I am posting this....maybe for a "hey....welcome to the club!" I dunno I have been relentlessly pursuing a diagnosis for a year with countless doctors and specialists.....I have been called crazy and asked to "just chill" and delusional was my favourite.
Avatar n tn My Brother has been diagnosed with MS and my mother with fibromyalgia. Unsure if there is a connection.
Avatar n tn Another cause of burning pain is fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia can cause burning and itching sensation in the skin. I would suggest you to discuss these possibilities with your treating doctor. Do keep us posted!
Avatar m tn Yes, I have fibromyalgia and have experienced random itching all over. It was particularly worse at night which is very troublesome for us fibro. folks who already have difficulty sleeping. Topical treatments and antihistamines did not work for me. Fortunately, it went away for now, but it was indeed horrible.
Avatar n tn Topical doxepin and caspasin cream are also helpful for neuropathic itching. Anti-seizure medications found to be useful for neuropathic itching include neurontin and lyrica. It is very important that in neuropathic itching narcotics such as dilaudid, vicodin, percocet etc be avoided as these are well known to cause itching as a side effect and to worsen neuropathic itching. I recommend you continue to follow-up with your neurologist regarding the optimal treatment of your symptoms.
Avatar f tn Never had an x-ray of my back to confirm what type of sciatica, was just told that it is and that it is common in patients with fibromyalgia. I also have psoriatic arthritis, a slighty polycystic kidney, and high blood pressure. I suppose I came here to just get an idea of what is going on first. The inflammation thing was stumping me because i have never had a fever with this, not even a mild one. So ER here I come. Will report back with diagnosis in case anyone else ever has these symtpoms.
Avatar f tn They are small red welts and the itching can be unbearable. No cortisone creams or antihistamines have worked. I had bed bugs a couple years ago and I think the rash started then, but I definitely don't have them anymore and the rash is still bad. It gets worse after hot showers or exposure to bugs (mosquito bites, etc.). I have Crohns, fibromyalgia, and SIBO so I looked for rashes related to that but they don't seem to match my specific case.
573297 tn?1304709140 Does anyone have both dx and yet their pdoc doesn't believe them? I got diagnosed like 8 years ago I think (kind of don't remember...the exact time) but now this year I get dx of bipolar and my pdoc doesn't believe I have fibromyalgia...I know I have the pain....and it feels like it is coming back, and if so this is the fourth flare up (one lasting two years, one lasting 6 months to a year, one was three months because of the depo-provera shot) what do I do to get taken seriously?
787406 tn?1339203183 Right now my diagnosis are Undifferentiated connective tissue disease, Inflammatory arthritis, Raynauds, a little fibromyalgia and a little lupus, hypoglycemia, mitral valve prolapse and loose valves. 571361 tn?1221003690 just someone who likes to research (I have found some great help because of this). I have a suspicion that some of the problems like Fibromyalgia and such are related to a hormonal imbalance. So many of the symptoms you mentioned are related to Menopause. What caught my eye was the "itching" you mentioned. Who knew? right? And, at your young age, the possibility of early menopause might not be considered by many doctors.
Avatar f tn I have had Hepatitis C for 12yrs now. About 2yrs ago I got MRSA while working out at a Gym on an Air Force Base. It was going around heavily at that time. I was very sick for about a month. My body never was the same after that. I couldnt work-out anymore. I coundnt even do my "yoga" work-outs.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last March. Since then and after trying few different prescription(Neurontin, Cymbalta) I decided I didn't like the way they made me feel and started researching what nutritional supplements could help. I resorted to taking supplements and saw my energy level and some symptoms improve. About 4-6 weeks, I have tingling (pin & needles) in my feet going up my legs and hands. My rheumatologists suggested I see a neurologist, to rule out MS.
