Avatar f tn He said a lot of people pretend to have FM and a lot of people are misdiagnosed with FM. He said I meet all the criteria and the breathing problems are more than likely from lack of sleep. He wants me to try trazadone to help with the sleep and see if the breathing improves.
Avatar f tn I have also been diagnosed with asthma, acid reflux, celiac intolerance, fibromyalgia, and severe chronic constipation. In 2000 I had a series of surgeries which did not help. It is now being discovered that all of the other conditions are connected to the untreated AS. Does anyone know more about these connections? My rheumatologist says she has never heard of a connection between AS and bowel problems but I am finding it all over the internet.
Avatar f tn I have tried multiple meds such as antidepressants and Gabapentin... always have had multiple side effects. Things like heart palpitation's, anziety and vision troubles. I can take xanax and Soma with no problems. My question is "could it be the Armour Thyroid that I take that causes the trouble?" I also have a movement disorder labeled as tremors/non-epileptic seizures which also gets worse with antidepressants.
Avatar n tn I would like to know what the symptoms for Fibromyalia are as I am having chest tightening and problems breathing which have been getting progressively worse. Before the chest tightening and breathing problems only happened if I walked beyond a certain pace or did something that required exhertion. Now I cannot even go for a walk without my chest tightening and have problems breathing. As well, just sitting like here at my computer is causing chest tightening.

539478 tn?1296621012 I am new to the community so I hope I am doing this right- I had the same problems as far as severe pain and my Drs kept saying that I was depresssed and they kept giving me anti depressants. This went on for about 10 years-I tried everything to work through the pain but nothing worked. Finally I found a good Doctor that really listened to me-I kept telling him I was depressed because I was in pain not the other way around.
Avatar f tn Proper breathing will also help, as improper breathing reduces oxygen levels in body cells and promotes chronic diseases. There are many studies that link chronic diseases to improper breathing! Check this out at the normal breathing website. There are a lot of things that can be done.
Avatar f tn My lower back is always hurting and I have migraines and headaches very frequently. I have been from dr to dr and it seams that since I have been given this title that no one seams to care any longer about any of these problems. I am starting to become paranoid that there could be something else wrong that isn't just fibro, and it could be getting overlooked. I feel I am way too young to be feeling the way I feel. Any thoughts? Thank you!
Avatar m tn I have matched some of my symptoms to heart disease or cystic fibrosis but i thought if it was CF i would be coughing up a great deal of phlegm and would have been suffering from birth i have no idea whats wrong with me and the doctors cant either but breathing difficulties, heart palpitations, dry cough, and getting out of breath from running short distances. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I have been having breathing problems for a year now and have had them start 5 years ago only to disappear. I can not take a full breath and sometimes I can't sleep due to lungs feel full and I have to sleep sitting up. I had an xray and all kinds of breathing tests done and they all come out fine, I am waiting for an appt with a Pulonary Dr. for hopefully some answers. I have not smoked since I was in my early 20's and it was only socially.
Avatar f tn I don't see how exactly snow storms would cause allergies, so either A, they don't, or B, it's not allergies. I could be wrong, I just do not see a way they connect. Your doctor obviously knows more than I do, however, it could just be that he/she was off this time. You can go for a second opinion and without telling the doctor what the first said, see what his/her diagnosis is. As far as your breathing problems.
Avatar n tn This has been happening over about 6 months and slowly gotten worse. All day I have trouble breathing and I try and take deep breathes but they don't feel deep enough. It gets worse at night and I''m up half the night because I can hardly breathe. I have wheezing noises but doctor said it's not asthma. I can't even exercise no more because I can't breathe and I have to sit down even after walking up the stairs.
Avatar n tn My chest and back sometimes hurt and I feel palpitations. I occasionally get lightheaded and have also been extremely thirsty in the past couple of days. I do have asthma and allergies, but none of the allergy medicine I have taken has helped much. Also, I’ve have cold spells, usually after eating lunch, that makes it worse. Is it just my asthma? Or is it something else? And should I be concerned? Is there anything I can take to relieve my symptoms?
Avatar f tn The main symptom lately up until this whole breathing thing was just pressure type feeling in head and ears like when you have a sinus infection, sometimes I might have a very, very mild headache right behind the eyes or nose that is easily taken care of with ibuprofen.
Avatar f tn I keep trying to put my face on but I just can't breath...i feel sluggish and tired, off balance with an on and off tummy ache! Anyone else feel this way? And what can be done to help with the breathing I feel sooo flustered! I'm about to give up and spend the rest of my day in bed ...
Avatar n tn July 27 2011 I had a cyst on my bottom that I was just hoping would go away but two days later it caused me to go sepsis and I was rushed to the hospital where they cut it open and drained it. I was much better after that but on August 2nd 2011 I suddenly had a very hard time breathing. I would try to go to work but going up the stairs or any physical exertion would cause my pulse to race to 130- 170, I would have shortness of breath, sharp pain in my heart and irregular heart beat.
