fentanyl cost

i have ben on the fentanyl patch quite awhile 100mg and have gone down to 50 mg, my health ended and my last patch ends in 4 days and im scared.

Insurance will no longer cover the 100 mcg Fentanyl patch I change every 2 days. Also take Norco with this medication. Fentanyl works for me but I can no longer afford. Does not cover Oxycontin either which is what i took previous to Fentanyl an insurance stopped covering. Please help an thank you in advance.

I have recently had back surgery for my second spinal cord stimulator which is a huge success. Due to health insurance garbage after using the fentanyl patch for over 8 years my monthly cost has risen from $7 a month to approx $500 a month starting May. I am now on a detox program through my Dr. Now due to the cost of cigarettes I am trying to quit smoking. This is so unbelieveable that all of this is happening at once to me.

Fentanyl is stronger than perks. Fentanyl is the strongest opiate known to man, I'm sure it'll replace perks, but then what? Some doctors like to give people weaker opiates, like hydrocodone, to taper down. The thing is, the brain won't heal until all opiates are gone for some time. Have you tried to take less and less? Have you tried to CT and ride out the sick? Lots off folks will support you here and answer any questions. Keep us posted.

ve been getting for 2 years and now wants to give 30 days which would cost $130 a month (CANNOT afford it so I will going off Duragesic to ???????) Can anyone advise/suggest/has anyone been in my shoes?

It was a bit frustrating due to my multiple allergies. MS Contin was not effective for me either. I am severely allergic to the adhesive in the Fentanyl transdermal patch. We tried everything to make that work. It didn't. So though I could share with you what works best for me, it may not be what's best for you. I have been on the Mylan Brand patch now for 7 years, just recently changed to the Johnson&johnson brand due to having no insurance, because the Mylan were $270 per month and the J&J are at no cost to me. I'm having a hard time finding this brand in any drug store in my area. I live in Southern Maine, South Berwick, Maine to be exact. She said that she could just use fentanyl only or the CRNA could give propofol or propofol/fentanyl. The sedation issue is more complicated; IMHO if all I could get was Versed/fentanyl, I would skip the sedation (the doc agrees that a lot of people have trouble with this combo). Many docs rush the exam and make it painful and that's why some (a minority) insist on sedation.

I have detoxed off the evil Fentanyl patch over 3 months ago. I suffer constanly from Intersticial Cystis and Vulvodynia, and IBS problems. I can't do anything, or function. I have taken 800 motrin, Zanaflex, or Flexaril, bladder meds, advil, naprosen, nuerontin, elavil, lyrica. None of it helps. I live with the heating pad and take hot baths. My tolerance is so high from being on the Fentanyl. I don't want to be on pain meds anymore and don't want to go through the HELL detox again.

I want to support him but he does still take any medication that is around ie my fentanyl, cocodamol, clonazepam and his brothers diazipam . I have hidden it in different places but how ever ingenious the hiding place he ALWAYS seems to find it . We try to keep an open dialogue but I do find it difficult always having to hide stuff and seeing the druggy look when he finds stuff. He is basically a good person and helps round the house and is nice company generally.

I recognize there is risk and cost. Fortunately, the financial cost is not an issue and I am in overall good health so I do not feel overly concerned with the physical risks. But I do not want to do this if I am just going to be in terrible WDs for several weeks and miss work. My question then is has anyone actually gone through Rapid Detox off Fentanyl or a similar dosage strength/length of use? If so, what was your experience like following the procedure? I am titrating off of Fentanyl I started using Fentanyl 4 years ago d/t DDD, fibro and multiple mylagias . I think I messaged you about a few weeks ago. I had started on Fentanyl and my therapeutic dose was 100mcg for about 4 years. I decided to go to a p/m doc in Nov. and now I am going to start a new dose tonight of 25 mcg. I can't wait until I get rid of this monster. Next month I will(hopefully) be a 12mcg and then NOTHING! I do take Dilaudid 4 mg. four times a day..

I have been on fentanyl for 12 years and I am confused. Everyone talks about a high associated with the patch. I have never had anything that might have been a high. So will going off of fentanyl be easier since there is no addiction. Has anyone ever went off without an addiction. I need as many ideas that i can get. Time is almost here. I wrote to the company to see if they could help me with the 6000.00 per month bill for my mylan patches. The economy screws those who wish to just survive.

I'm taking Opana ER 10 mg and it's not on the list of approved drugs for my new RX plan. Fentanyl patches weren't effective. What's a good substitute? oxymorphone is not listed but hydromorphone is.

Just wanted to update everyone here and fist let you know that you can do it. It has been an interesting 3-4 weeks. I was taking 12-15 10/325 daily, soma, fentanyl 1600 mcg loli'd for break though pain..... and so on. I quit CT and didn't look back, 15 days then another surgery, back to the 10/325's but this time didn't take them as prescribed, I took less. Did my 10 days, then just stopped again. No problems, no WD's after 72 hours.

hello well iv been weend of the fentanyl i was on 300 milss of fentanyl every day i was stabalised with methadone after two weeks of being stabelised my pain in my back is becoming unreal again every morning the pain is so bad i just lay there in pain the thought of movin is unberable.

The release of fentanyl is based on temp on the patch, This is the reason, and the sole reson why we must be careful with some areas of recreaton and the hot tubs.
