My doctor prescribed me both and so far i have only taken the buspar. I have read taking both could cause serotonin syndrome and scared to take the doxepin. I take 15mg x 3 daily of buspar and was given 50 mg of doxepin to take at bedtime.

There's no evidence anyone has more or less serotonin than anyone else. What ssris do is prevent the breakdown of serotonin so it soaks the neuron longer in it. This isn't the natural way the body acts, but these meds have helped many people. But whether you want to take them or not, or need them or not, is up to you. They won't cure you, they will only mitigate the symptoms you're having. If there is a cure, it's through therapy.

Multi mineral vitamin, just goo to take all around 5HTP-- this is what tryptophan gets turned into prior to being turned into serotonin in our brains. Serotonin is what is usually depleted if we are depressed and anxious..

s are VERY mild this time around! I was really expecting to go to hell and back with this fentanyl withdrawal but so far it has been 10x easier than my oxy withdrawals I went through last year. Anyone have any theories why my w/d this time around has not been nearly as bad as last time? I have been dependent for about 4 months this time around, using mainly oxy/dilaudid/fentanyl but I havent had oxy in awhile mainly just fentanyl and dilaudid.

I am working on alternative pain management methods, and getting the courage up to dump the pills once and for all.

My doc recently changed me from prozac to Savella since I have alot of muscular, nerve, and joint pains. I stopped the Savella because it was making me feel faint and just weird and on top of it did not help my depression, but it did stop my nerve (including sciatica type pains). Has anyone else had similar side effects with Savella and is it possible to take prozac with Savella?

Need to be careful when using it if Bipolar as it can trigger mania or serotonin syndrome but is very helpful otherwise. The pharmacist told me that you are at a higher risk of seizure and serotonin sydrome if you take ultram and a SSRI and commented about wondering why the doctor prescribed it. My NEW doctor today told me there is no way you should use them both, and told me to ditch (flush) the ultram and that someone on an SSRI or SSNI should in no way be taking that medication with ultram or ultracet.
