I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 months now on clomid 100 mg but i have not been successful. I have a son who is one , i got pregnant with him after being on clomid 50mg for 5 months and then clomid 100mg for a month. I just want to know how long should i wait before i see a specialist. i also suffer from a mild case of Endometriosis. Should i continue with the 100mg of clomid or should i get the dosage moved up to 150mg? I just don't know what to do .
My gyno just placed me on Femara due to severe side effects of Clomid (been off of that for a few months to give my body a break). I'm only 25 and in premenopausal state. I start Provera on Friday. Then on day 3-7 take Femara. I never been on a normal cycle either. My AF's stopped all together in 2009. I had to take Provera every 2 months to have a cycle. My dh and I have been ttc our second child with fail for the past 2 yrs.
my doctor diagnosed that i am suffering from PCOS, which is very heartbreaking news for me, as i am trying to get pregnant since last year. she prescribed me glucophage 500 mg twice a day for six months. nowadays i am on glucophage and still unsuccessful to concieve. what should i do? i really need your help.
Hi- I'm 29 and have been off the pill since march 09 with no luck getting prego on a natural cycle. DH's count is normal, my tubes are open and I ovulate on my own. I just had an endometrial biopsy last week and AF came today. I'm pretty sure the results will show that I have thin lining due to my extremely light/short periods. I'm going to start femara this cycle. Has anyone taken femara w/o IUI and had any luck? Any advice?
Yes..femara is to help me conceive. I saw RE today..OPKs are neg and I am stll sick and feel like sh##. Doc says I have a big follicle and he says I shudd be ovulating soon. Antibiotics can interfere with the cervical mucus too. I got a trigger shot today also for the first time. So, he says in 42 hrs I willl ovulate. So I will be TTC until Mon or Tues.
I have a 10 month old that I'm nursing. We'd like to get pregnant again but I haven't gotten my periods back yet. I have ovulation test strips and am not ovulating. I don't want to stop nursing yet. Any ideas here?

I am due to start my first round of femara tomorrow due to PCOS and I am scared of the side effects. I work full time in a very busy setting and am scared I am going to feel sick. I also am a migraine sufferer as well. My migraines are brought on by hormones so I have a real possibility of getting one with the femara. I brought this up to the specialist who only told me to call iof I experience one. Is there anyone else who is prone to migraines?
(clomid but that made me have such bad hot flashes that he switched me to femara) to make me ovulate. I had to also have a shot of Ovidrel to help this process along. Then they preformed the IUI. My first IUI procedure didn't take so I have to go back in for a second one and will find out Friday if the femara made my follicles large enough or if I need another shot, etc... My point is there are a lot of things that can be done to get you where you need to be in order to conceive.
I've been trying to get pregnant for over a year. I was on chlomid for 7 months and for the past 2 months have been on femara. I got my period this week and took 3 days of femara - on the 3rd day had a funny feeling like I should take a pregnancy test. It came back positive. Hi texasangel! I used femara/menopur for three cycles, and produced about three good follicles each time. I used a lower dose than you, though (75) and I only used it on days 3, 5 and 7. Unfortunately, I didn't get pregnant, but I definitely think it's a good combo. Hopefully, it'll do the trick for you so you can get your well-deserved BFP!
I've also never take clomid....just Femara and I've gotten pregnant 2ce from taking Femara! Some Dr's don't like to prescribe it (very few) but my Dr wouldn't even think of putting me on clomid.....He believes that Femara is much better....based on my results I have to agree! Good luck and I hope they'll switch you! (Femara is more known as a drug for breast cancer patients but it works wonders for us ttc!
