femara late period

so now I went to fertility clinic used provera to bring on my cycle which started on jan 7th used opk day 12 through 15 like instructed all negative went to dr had ultrasound to check for follicle growth had ripe follicle 22mm did bd late that night which was cycle day 15 next am got the smiley on clear blue digital advanced opk which meams peak chance for fertility then did bd then next night cycle day 17 went to dr day 21 progestrone test it is supposed to be between 8 and 10 mine was 21 now

I am wondering if any of you that have taken Femara or Clomid have trouble w/ late periods. I usually have about a 29-30 day cycle and it seems like with this Femara and even with the Clomid my periods are like 34-36 days. This is very frustrating as I want to not have such long periods. I am getting ready to start my period and you know how it is when you know you are not pregnant and want to start the month again. Just wondering if this is normal. Thanks for any input.

in the past i used clomid/menopur with a trigger shot. this month, he switched to femara/menopur with a trigger. what is different about femara? I got 3 follies first cycle, and 4 last cycle. what would the difference be with femara? any side effects?

i had my period on july 27 and i have still not ovulating till nw.should i still keep checking,i started check with opk on day 12.any help.cant wait for baby#2.

Out of the clear blue sky my periods started coming on faithfully...Sept thru Jan. I had a failed IUI in December...I ovulated late but was happy to find femara makes me ovualate cuz clomid does not work for me. My period for the month of feb was very light I can say the entire cycle may have filled up on pad...(just to give an example). So my period was due to come on the 19th...I had cramping and hot flashes but no period yet?? I did take a hpt in feb but it was neg.

but i feel like i am going to come on my period anytime so why take provera? the doctor said that i need it as i am late and also because of low progesterone what may seem like a period could only be anovulatory bleeding. i am confused what will provera do that wont happen by me just waiting for the annovulatory bleeding??? will it actually bring on a period and not anovulatory bleeding? and how does that make a difference.? also i dont understand why i did not ovulate?

I was told to start taking my Femara day 3-7 which I should be starting it next week. But I also know that every DR is different. But I do know that day 14 is probably to late for it.

This will be my 2nd iui and this will be my third cycle on femara. I cycle on femara with iui, one cycle just femara and this cycle on femara with hopefully iui around the 30th, 1st or 2nd(weekend). We have been ttc for over 2yrs and have unexplained infertility. All of our blood work and tests and u/s are perfect. Our sperm is perfect and eggs and uterus look great. I was just looking for others that are going thru the same thing so we could support each other!!

Is is a common thing to ovulate late on Femara? If so, how late is too late to hold out hope for ovulation?

If you were my patient, I would repeat the pregnancy test, and if negative, I would give you a 5 day course of progesterone to start your period. Then I would discuss something to help you ovulate such as Femara or Clomid. You very likely will conceive with or without medications, but Femara/Clomid will regulate your cycles a bit and shorten them a bit, therefore speeding up the process. With these two medications there is minimal risk of multiples. Hope this helps!

hi this is my 3 round of clomid and my period is 5 days late and i am feeling mild cramps. what should i do??

My periods are usually 28 -30 day cycles. Was due period Sunday if was to b a 28 day cycle so now 5 days late. had a negative pregnancy test Saturday and Monday. Im tired, bloated, urinating frequently And have little to no discharge. Im so down and fed up over all these negative results. Has anyone any advice or experienced similar? Any feedback atal would be much appreciated.

YES... I did have hard time TTC and I am pregnant right now. My husband and I tried to conceive since July 07. We tried until March 09 then we gave up. Doctor put me all kind of fertility medicine such as Clomid 100mg, Femara, Estradiol, Prometrium, Repronex, Follistim.. We tried and tried and nothing happen. We even tried 2 IUI and not success.. In April the doctor told me take a break and he will perform laparoscopic surgery on 04/17/09. We will try again in June 09.

d like to discuss trying femara for this 6th cycle instead of clomid since it thinned my lining so much for this cycle. But..I want to know..can I expect the same type of results from femara as I have with clomid? On 100 mgs of clomid, I have had a mature follicle ready for trigger on Days 10 and 11. Thoughts? I started Femara this month. I've been ovulating on clomid, but haven't gotten pregnant after about 8 months. I was started on Femara and went on Monday (CD 13) and there was one follie that was 10 and my lining was 6. I did OPK's this week and nothing. I went back this morning and the 10 had grown to 13 and my lining was 10. There were lots of other ones 7 - 11 in size. I didn't see the doc, just the np.

Stress can cause your period to be delayed as well But hopefully your pregnant wish you much baby blessings

Hi,thank you very much for your replies.Any way I got my period and purchased femara with doctor's prescription.Actually my periods are irregular.Doctor asked me to use femara after i got period.So before period I was normally searched online femara tablets and costs.Now I am using femara which were given by doctor's prescription.In the same hospital pharmacy only I took the femara tablets.Once again thank you.

Your OBGYN is right. Mine also had me use Femara for 4 cycles to try to increase our chances since I am in the dreaded "unexplained" category. It worked great for me, I O'd consistently, and had minimal side effects (just headaches and hot flashes here and there). We didn't end up with our BFP, but I have seen a lot of women who have with the Femara. Here are two information packets on it.

yep..sounds famliar. I was crampy on Femara but I will not be using Femara again since it made me cystic..i just finished a cycle of Menopur injections and had no side effects whatsoever. I am on the 2ww.

Does anyone ovulate late in their cycle? Blood tests showed I ovulate on day 18 or 19, I'm taking clomid and we start having sex day 6 onwards-usually every other day until day 25, I'm wondering if by the time I ovulate all the gd quality sperm has gone? plus, since taking clomid my cervical mucas has altered and I find it hard to test it to judge the right time and I get cramps and ovulate type pain more than once each cycle,any suggestions?

I took 50 mil Clomid this last month on the April 22 throw April 26th , my period cycle is every 21 days now I am late for my period for 3 days, I have a lot of back pain and belly pain , and today I did pregnancy test and it was negative .
