Femara iui success rates

Common Questions and Answers about Femara iui success rates

femara

1340383 tn?1309990914 I was on Clomid but asked my RE about Letrozole because I have a friend who got pregnant twice on second round of IUI with Letrozole. RE said it was merely doctor preference. My RE has higher success rates with clomid so that's what he prescribes, but his partner in the same clinic uses Letrozole almost exclusively. I'm sure that wasn't very helpful... but thought I'd share.
413852 tn?1317308712 I had success my 2nd month on femara. Sadly that pregnancy ended at 11 1/2 weeks. Don't really know why. Before that I had done clomid/iui's, ivf with chemical pregnancy, and failed fet. With the femara we were also trying "naturally", so i do think it can work well. I am now on my third round of it again after my mc. Hoping for a bfp on Christmas, if not then i am moving on to injectables. Good luck with the femara!!
Avatar f tn We will be moving on to 5mg of Femara Cd 4 - 8 and then menopur CD 9 - 11. Then trigger and IUI. Has anyone had success with this? I usually take Femara on CD 3 - 7 so I don't know why she wants me to take them on CD 4 - 8 this month. I am wondering if I should switch back to Clomid for a month since I was on Femara last month.
Avatar f tn we were told that IVF with ICSI was our only hope (we have many issues including male factor - morphology of 2%) shockingly we got pregnant on our 3rd IUI, (using follistim, femara, trigger and progesterone) we had already had our IVF consult and everything! unfortunately miscarried.. we have since done (gosh i have lost count!) i think its 6 or 7 or more IUI's total, and total got pregnant 3 times and lost them all..
Avatar f tn But, I have other issues and the timing was not the problem. My RE has very high success rates with that protocol. I don't know much about donor sperm, but I do know washed sperm don't live as long-probably 12-24 hours. good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Hi. I just wanted to give you some support as you are now in the 2WW. I am going to be having my first IUI in just a few days. I'm not on injectibles though (Femara only with a trigger shot and progesterone). From all of the reading I've done and questions I've asked doctors and such, it sounds like the consensus is IUI success rates are between 6 & 15% each cycle, with about a 30% chance of conception over three or four cycles.
1190279 tn?1324936257 hey i havent been on for a few months either, was also taking a break. I did 3 rounds of clomid and natural no luck. then we did 2 rounds of femara (letrezole) with and iui, unfortunately no luck....so we took 3 months off, now repeat semen analysis and if the counts are up, injectables to up the odds, if they havent changed we are thinking ivf....
2055066 tn?1375074850 I had success with my fourth IUI. It unfortunately ended as an ectopic at 6 weeks, but it did work. My DH had 98 million total count with 56% motility and 1% morphology. If you don't feel ready to move on to injectibles or IVF, push for more IUI's. You can do three on clomid I believe. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn ve Only Tried One cycle Of Clomid And Did Ovulate With It Before My Dr Switched Me To Femara. Provera Induced Period, Cd 2, Start Femara 2.5Mg Tomorrow. Anyone Ever Have Success With Femara With No Pcos Or Iui?
1510252 tn?1290047804 I am 27 years old. My husband and I have ben TTC for about 3 years now. We fall in the "fun" category of unexplained fertility. Ugh! I am currently 5 days post iui. I took femara on CD 3-7 to increase our chances and produce more eggs. I'm in the dreaded 2ww. I was hoping to hear any success stories of any couples in the same situation. I need some encouragement!
Avatar f tn Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows how much IUI increases your success rate. I was on Clomid for a while with Metformin with less than adequate results. The first round of Femara I had 3 good follicles(can't remember sizes) and the HCG trigger on Saturday morning and then IUI on Sunday evening. My husband has excellet counts and motility, there was a brief issue with the morphology but that is even great now.
Avatar f tn Btw what kind of meds were you taking before they did the iui. I had 2 diff doc that did my iui. My first one was done by my gynae. I was on clomid back then. Not much work was done. My 2nd one was done by a fertility doc. I took letrozole on day 3 to 7. Menopur shot day 3, 6, 9. Then hcg shot on day 10. They monitored my follicles and lining. I can just hope and pray for now. And ohhh. With my fertility specialist, they will do an iui twice for a cycle. Which is today and tomorrow.
691236 tn?1311199974 My dr told me that success rates are around 8% with injectibles (like Follistim) and iui. I would think Clomid would have about the same success rate. If you notice, clinics publish their ivf success rates, but not their iui success rates... That said, I do know someone who got pregnant with iuis twice (on the second try each time). She was on pretty high doses of injectibles (225 follistim). I would ask your dr about his or her success rates. Good luck!
652899 tn?1284047173 I am due for my first iui in sep ..am on letrozole ( femara) days 5-9..
708150 tn?1268273933 It happend to be day one of AF. My doctor wants to do IUI this cycle with femara. I go back on Jan 12 for U/S. My question is would you get your trigger shot on the day of the u/s if there are good follies or is it common to have multiple U/S's if the follies aren't ready? And then when do you go back for the procedure? I have read a lot of people go back within 36 hours. We live over an hour from the RE. Has anyone been in this situation?
Avatar f tn 15-20% per cycle for IUI, 50-60% for IVF.
415687 tn?1228746275 I got pregnant on my second cycle of femara + trigger + IUI. Femara is similar to clomid and much much cheaper than injectibles. Just another option you might want to look into. Good luck!!
Avatar f tn Today is CD 1 and I will start taking Femara CD 5 - 9. We are planning an IUI with trigger shot if the follicles look good. We've been trying to get pregnant for 2 years and I am pretty frustrated. We went from my gyno to a big fertilty clinic here in Austin. That wasn't working and they were pushing for injections (we cannot afford) so we opted for a second opinion.
