femara and opk

so today is cd 10 i am suppose to do two opks a day one in the morning and one around 6pm. I took femara cd3-7. Well i took the opk at 1100 am and it was the second time that i went to the bathroom and it is sooo positive the test line came up right away. I almost always o around cd 16 so I don't know if i should call or wait until tom.

I've just begun my first cycle on Femara and ovulated on Day 4 of my cycle. Is this typical? I would normally ovulate on Day 10-12 in a 27-28 day cycle. Also, I searched for information on whether the drug could cause a false positive on an OPK but didn't find anything conclusive. Help. I'd love to hear if anyone else has had the same experience.

Hi I have pcos and tried clomid with provera a few cycles with no luck at all didnt ovulate.....

i did femara two cycles ago, and same thing, early ewcm, o feeling, went to dr. on day 11 for u/s and told him i already o'd. he checked and said no, but soon. so femara is giving me more fertile signs. i will probably o friday or sat. just like i thought (fingers crossed) since even with trigger i don't O for 1-2 days. you will be just a few days ahead of me! sending you ssbd!

yep, of course and I'm on my second cycle of Femara. I've caught a horrble bug and have been home..im going to the Dr this afternoon. The good news is I've been resting alot and once I get the pos OPK, I will have my donor come over. It is AI anyways. Me being sick shouldn't affect my cycle will it?

Can I take Repronex and/or femara without using a trigger shot (by tracking ovulation with OPK instead)?

On cycle day 9, I took an OPK and had a medium faint line. On cycle day 10 I had a temperature spike-- which I thought was a fluke because I've had a sore throat. Then again today, my temperature is still up (CD11) and when I took an OPK the line was even fainter than the other day. Is it possible that I could have already ovulated before day11? I haven't had any EWCM and I usually have a lot. Anyone on femara ovulate that early?

usually when I took clomid or femera, i ovulated late. usually on CD15. I checked OPK start on CD 13 - CD17 and BD when I saw OPK+. last cycle I did IUI right on CD 13 and nothing happen. I belive I ovulated on CD15 or CD16 so when did IUI to early, but the time I ovulated, the sperms already DEAD.... :-( This cycle I am off medicine. No clomid or Femera or any kind of meds. I tried naturally and aim for the day I ovulated.

I took Femara this cycle and will be doing a single IUI probably within the next 4-5 days. I had a sort of of odd cycle last month (w/Femara but no IUI), where I spotted for 3-4 days before any real flow. I ovulated on cd15 and had a 30 day cycle if you don't count the spotting (usually its no more than 28 days). My RE says to start using OPKs on cd 11, but I'm concerned I should start earlier. Could I have miscounted and in fact the day I think was cd1 was actually a bit later?

I usually use the answer opk. You can get them in the 7 tests or the kit which comes with a cup and 20 test strips in case you are not sure how long you cycle runs or when to start testing and incase it is hard to read you have extra if you need them. But they expire 30days after opening and are not supposed to use them after that.

What cycle day are you today? And what cycle days did you take femara? As far as I know, femara does not cause a false positive...especially not two days after the last pill.

How much femara were you on? any luck or are you waiting to see???? well i'm glad to know that femara doesn't make CM nonexistant then! I hope you get that BFP!! good luck!!

I get irregular AFs too. My AFs don't come but once a year if I'm lucky. I have been on Provera every other month and did about 4 rounds of Clomid with serious side effects and failed to work. Took a break from fertility drugs. Started Provera up again the last week of July and did Femara from cd3-7 and got a positive OPK on cd 8 and 9, and O'ed on cd 10. First time I O'ed in a long time. Every women is different. Do you also check your cervix?

My ovulation is really confusing as you can see from my other post, but I was on Chlomid on and off for a total of 12 months before I got pregnant with my twins, I took chlomid days 3-7 and my first pos. OPK was always on day 12, but the confusing part is that I also always got a pos. OPK on day 14 as well. I wish I could be of more help, but the cycle I concieved my twins on I had my IUI done on day 14 or 15 I believe if that helps at all.

t get a positive on the OPK until that timeframe passes...then it is like the desert...then what do you know, I get a +OPK). Does anyone experience this as well?

My doctor put me on prometrium to induce menses...took prometrium for 12 days then finally started 4 days later (my cycles had been ranging between 36 and 44 days.....this month was 60). I then started letrozole on day 3...it is now day 14 of my cycle. I started using the saliva ovulation test a couple of days ago and have seen no change (honestly really nothing at all). Today I used an opk and no LH surge. What day is "typical" for ovulation when taking clomid or femara????

I wasted 5 previous IUI because my NP was using OPK and trigger shots to determine timing for IUI and I was shock to find out from my RE that this is not the standard practice for IUI with meds. good luck!

Some women respond better to clomid and others to Femara. You should talk to your doctor about checking your 21 day progesterone this cycle. Part of the importance of this is not only to ensure you are ovulating, but the progesterone will indicate if it was a strong ovulation. Higher levels of 21 progesterone can indicate a better chance of pregnancy success.

how ever am on day 18 of the 3rd round of clomid and according to the OPK still no ovulation.have been having bad ab cramping and shooting pains on and off since day 14..CM lookin like egg white...and still nothing!!! anyone else had this happen...so sick of peeing on sticks and seeing just one line!!!

I am on Femara again, and the CM started on day 12, so we started on day 13, did it day 14, I got a pos OPK on Sunday (day 15) but we couldnt see each other until Tues, day 17 when we did it last. I know fresh sperm lives in the reproductive tract for atleast 2-3 days. For those of you that conceived, what cycle days did your doctor tell you were most fertile and when did you do it? I think I'm betting off doing it 'early' rather than later.. any opinions please.

Ok so today is CD3 and i started taking femara 2.5mg x2 daily today and will continue it until CD7. they sad i should start testing for ovulation starting day 10. and they told me to BD on day 10,12,14,16,18. or when i get my positive opk that day and every other day for a week. This is all new any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

My first cycle of femara cd3-7 I ovulated on cd13 with a 20mm follie and got prego with my dd. Now we are TTC #2 and last month on femara I got a + OPK on cd16 with a 21mm follie. This cycle is cd12 and I only have 12mm follies. (Last month on cd12 they were 17-18mm.) It is frustrating - I hear ya!! You just don't know what your body is going to do month to month!

This is my second month on femara. I am on cd15 and my follies are growing so slow - only 13.5mm! (Last month they were 17mm on cd12!). Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Also, what is too slow? Is there a day by which your RE would just stop the cycle and induce AF? I am just worried to get prego so late in my cycle. The 2 miscarriages I had were when I ovulated late (but were natural cycles, no meds).

I started spotting April 14th (day 2 after 5th day of femara) til 16th. Heavy period 17th and 18th. Medium on 19th and light on the 20th. Spotting a bit today. I did take an ovulation test tonight...faint line which is still considered negative. A little confused when I should expect that ovulation. Any ideas?

Thanks for being my friend when i need someone to cry on... I feel much better. Last night I tested and I did have OPK+ and this morning. I guess I am better getting busy huh. Today is my CD12. Do you think I should BD tonight, or wait until tomorrow. I told my DH that we are going to BD tonight and this time i will try different position. Maybe it's helps. Once again.
