I am sorry to hear about your m/c. When do you start the new cycle of femara? It has taken some time for me to actually get the nerve up to write a post. I am almost embarrased that I am having trouble getting pregnant. I know its nothing to be ashamed of, but when you are ttc, everyone just assumes that can. When you can't, you feel abnormal.

This is my first time on here so I hope this works. This is my first month doing the ovidrel and femara together so I don't know what to expect. I have done the femara alone and have also done the clomid, but the shot is all very new to me. I have another u/s tomorrow to make sure I can have the ovidrel. It would just be nice to know if this has worked for someone and if it has, how well.

Can I take Repronex and/or femara without using a trigger shot (by tracking ovulation with OPK instead)?

I am. Just had my HCG shot yesterday. Took letrozole aka femara on cd3 to cd7.

Does anyone have any advice on taking Femara from CD3 - CD7 with a HCG trigger shot on CD12 and then IUI on CD14? Any success the first time?

My treatment was femara, injection for 3 days, HCG shot and IUI. Your doctor will find a treatment that will work for you. Keep your hopes up. I remember choosing to not be stressed out about whether I was going to get a positive or not and it worked for me. Good Luck!!!

Where do I begin? I am a 29yr old female and I have never been pregnant. 3mths ago I found out that I have PCOS. I had all the blood work done and it confirmed it. I had an HSG to make sure my tubes are open and they are. I had my first round of femara 2.5mg and metformin 500mg last month. Went back to the doc and he said no luck PCOS still in the way. Did a progesterone test and my level was 8.7 some docs say I ovulated some say I didn't I have no clue.

Now my doctor wants me to take Femara and try the IUI with HCG trigger shot. When will the shot be given if I ovulate D14 or D15 usually? Will they wait until then or do the shot earlier? Can they miss it if they schedule it too late?

Hey everyone. I'm Danielle i'm new here:) I was diagnosed with PCOS last January and started metformin and provera (to start my period). I just took clomid a couple weeks ago on days 3-7. My doctor said i had like 20 follicles but none were mature. Does anyone know a reason why they didn't mature? So now she took me off of metformin and I just started avandia. And wheneveer I start my next period she's gonna put me on Femara and an hcg shot.

I took Femara on CD3-CD7 with a HCG trigger shot on CD12 for three months in a row. Last month I did Femara CD3-CD7, a HCG trigger shot on CD12 and IUI on CD14. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. I go in for my 2nd IUI this weekend. Femara has helped thicken my lining, but I noticed that I am a little more emotional than usual. It probably doesn't help that I'm all stressed out about what's going on.

I took one cycle of Femara with hcg trigger last month I have spotted and have not had no cycle and pt are negative, can anyone help?

I took femara this month and had an HCG shot on day 12 of my cycle. I have done this previous months with the same result each time, I start my period exactly 14 days after the shot. This month it has been 15 days since my shot and I haven't started yet, and I took a pregnancy test hoping to see a positive but it was negative. Is it typical for the luteal phase to change? I thought that it was always the same. Can you have a false negative even with the HCG shot?

I would say something to your doctor; my doc was going to put me on Provera when I didn't start my cycle. I tried the pill and that didn't work so she said Provera and I told her that my body doesn't respond and she had me skip and and go on Repronex and it worked for me. Well we are in the two week wait right now; hope this helps a little. Good Luck to you!

So the femera is doing what we expect and that is to mature follicles and the hcg makes me ovulate. I am currently on day 2 of the 4th and hopefully the last femera cycle.

Started trying in August with Femara and HCG shot. Failed. Then sept i go in another lap surgery because i had to remove my appendix. This mth trying again. This time with femara, menopur and going for HCG tomorrow.

I lied and said I was on my Day 3 when it was my Day 2, I took the femara early on Day 2, had sex the day before my HCG shot and had one IUI the next day and sex 12 hours later the day of the IUI. I have never, ever done this the entire year I was there. The entire time he wanted to wait, wait another day saying he doesn't feel right, well I listened to him for a year and was plannong to do IVF next month so I had nothing to lose.

Have had two surgeries, countless blood tests, HCG, clomid, femara who knows what else for 6 cycles now...and one IUI. The IUI did not take and since I am certifiable, I had the nerve to ask the doctor if there was really sperm when I had it done or if this is just a huge money making ploy. He was floored, and after I realized what I had said I'm like "just kidding". Not Good. Today I had my first injection of Puregon, what should I expect?

This is my second cycle of superovulation with follistim and HCG shot to trigger ovulation. Last month, I had 2 good eggs (24,22) and one ok egg (18). Last month ended up with a chemical pregnancy. This month I went in for my CD 11 u/s after 8 nights of follistim. She said that I had one good egg at (20) and 2 ok eggs at 18. I also had like 8 eggs that were measuring 15.

Yesterday I had my day 11 ultrasound and I have three follicles of 17, 15 and 18mm and dr gave me hcg injection last nite as well now I will go for iui on Tuesday morning inshallah hoping n praying for the best.

Menopur is the shots to ready the egg and the ovidrel is just another name for the HCG shot. I took both and added clomid and got preggo the first time.

This month we did Femara again cycle days 5-9,HCG shot this morning and our first try of IUI tomorrow morning. I have 2 folicles per Ultra Sound (Thank you God and Femara) Left ovary follicle Sunday measured 18 and Right ovary follicle measured 14. We are both hoping and praying our IUI is a HUGE SUCCESS tomorrow morning. Our 10 year Wedding anniversary is 10/30...I can not think of a better gift....a sibling or siblings for our son and a wonderful addition to our family! Best of Luck Everyone!!

My husband are going through our first cycle of Femara and we had more follicles then we have ever had even with injections which I thought wow. I am in my 2ww now. So I am excited to see how it works I am hoping for BFP come Friday the 22nd when I have my HCG checked. I think femara is a good thing so far. I wish you lots of luck to everyone here.

I was on clomid 2months, first month was 50mg and had 3eggs, did iui with no success, second time was on 75mg and had 7eggs, (didn't do iui that time, due to too many eggs) both times all on the right side. This month was on femara 2.5mg, and I only have 1egg and it's on the left side, it's 2 and my endometrium is nice and thick. Got the hcg shot this morning and getting iui done tomorrow morning. We are using a sperm donor. Any advice on heightning my chance of getting pregnant...

I am not doing IUI - just timed intercourse with injectables and HCG shot - and my doc said to have sex the night of the shot, skip a day and have sex exactly 36 hours after HCG shot. I hated to skip a day but that was the instructions. And weirdly enough - she also said to have sex 2 days after the day of ovulation. Weird huh? Wouldn't think anything would be in there to catch but who knows. So, it sounds liek you are covered really.

I've tried researching and can't find anything about timing and success rates. I'm attempting to relieve my nerves for this two week wait and I'd SUPER appreciate anyone's input. I had a natural period that came out of nowhere, femara days 4-8, ultra sound comfirmed 3 mature follicles on day 15, hcg trigger shot on day 16 and IUI 26 hours later on day 17 (today). My husband's sperm count was 35 million and 78% motility. Anyone with any thoughts on our success chances?
