A friend of mine who had just started having panic attacks a few months ago told me his doctor switched him from amlodipine to beta blockers (which are also prescribed for anxiety, like stage fright) and the panic attacks are GONE. I believe you are not that predisposed to have cough when you take amlodipine because unlike losartan, it does not predisposed you to have infections that causes cough. Nevertheless, before switching medications you have to consult with your physician first.
