Avatar m tn Oh my goodness, the fear of vomiting i have is that bad. I constantly try and evaluate the tiniest sickness i have and think i am going to vomit. Every time especially if i am in public or at work i just think of utterly embarrassing myself by freaking out so much and vomiting everywhere. Everyone looking at me, having no where to hide, getting it in my hair, choking on it. Dry reaching is the worst possible feeling i could ever imagine... Feeling like your eyeballs are about to pop...
Avatar n tn Hi, I was in Macau last week and I visited a sauna with a bunch of my friends when I was drunk. I ended up receiving unprotected oral sex from a commercial sex worker there and nothing more. The way she performed it was that she would gargle first with Listerine and then proceed with the deed. Now I have a few questions... 1. What is my risk in contracting HIV? Should I get tested? 2.
Avatar f tn The meds keep me from vomiting, but I still feel constantly nauseous. On my bad days, I cannot bring myself to go to work, for fear of end up vomiting in front of students and causing quite a scene... I'm so tired of being sick and being told to "wait it out" as if it is just a normal stomach bug. Any suggestions/ similar experiences?
17213106 tn?1456525991 I have serious emetophobia and all of the above list nausea and vomiting as a side effect. What am I supposed to do?? I am never sick, I mean I never catch the common cold (most likely due to my phobia)so being sick for a month is really taking a toll on me. Does anyone have any suggestions? What's a girl to do?
Avatar n tn Hey everyone, I'm 5 weeks pregnant and are vomiting almost all day, I have tried crackers, 7~up, not drinking fluids before or after meals. I hardly want to eat and chewing mint gum isn't helping. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn I feel like I should test to know my status for definite and to certainly ease my concerns but I think the fear of it being positive will always be there. The vomiting and diarrhea are really what worried me despite the low risk, both the timing of that and then the symptoms I've had since then. I did see Dr Handsfield say once that vomiting and diarrhea weren't symptoms of ARS which reassured me slightly but again, other places say differently.

Avatar f tn When you say "fear of being sick", are you talking about fear of vomiting? Emetophobia is the fear of vomiting, and it is more common than you think. Anxiety sufferers usually each have their own specific fixation of worry, whether it be vomiting, dying, going crazy, having a life threatening medical condition/illness, etc. There are many fears like that that people with anxiety (usually more specifically panic disorder) struggle with.
Avatar m tn is it easier to cure then other anxiety disorders ?
Avatar m tn Fear Then go and Check for HIV. But u have had a safesex. You will be Negative.
Avatar f tn For as long as I can remember I have had a massive fear of vomit ( not vomiting, fear of others puking) when ever I even think about someone throwing up it gives me anxiety. When I see someone even about to I start panicking. I live in an apartment complex and someone threw up in the parking lot and now I'm scared to go out there. It's makes me panic and want to cry.
Avatar n tn like my fear of vomiting (where when im anxious about it, i picture my self throwing up in my current situation or a situation down the road) my fear of depression causes me to picture myself actually depressed or suicidal.
Avatar n tn You said she gets her self worked up every evening and has a fear of eating it could be possible she to has a psychological problem causing this to occur such as fear of going to bed, a fear of going to school the next day, or possibly even anorexia. You said she doesn't know why she vomits and that is probably the case, she may be stressed over something either at home, or school and is either blocking it out or is embarrassed or afraid to talk about it.
Avatar f tn Hi I am new to this. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with depression/anxiety. I am still on anti-depressants. I have this wierd fear of throwing up. It is to the point, where I don't even want to eat. When someone is around me who is feeling sick I freak out. I hate living like this. I get so stressed out about it. I then get discomfort because I cannot pass a bowel movement because I am so tense and then right away I think that my stomach pain is going to cause me to through up.
Avatar f tn Even when I try drinking water I feel like it wants to come back up. I knw its important for me to keep fluids down. Ciz of fear of dehydration. But its hard im not even hungry and I haven't even really eaten anything. So any advice or help would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn Before that happens vomiting of bile juice (green-yellow coloured vomit) is a symptom. It happened to me after a total colectomy operation over five years ago and I was kept in hospital (with a nasal gastric tube to suck out the stomach contents) until the symptoms had passed and until I could hold down food normally.
595125 tn?1219834270 What you descrive is a panic attack when you have this intense fear, then you become afraid of the fear and so on until it becomes a vicious circle. You came to the right place! You should browze a lot of these threads as you will quickly see that you are not alone in your fear and anxiety and you will perhaps learn from how others have coped with it.
Avatar f tn m sure there must be a name for the fear of eating in front of other people........but the name of what you do when you get home is BULIMIA. This is a very, very dangerous and potentially life threatening habit to get into. PLEASE see your doctor immediately and tell him/her what you've been doing. They need to run some tests to see if you are seriously depleted of essential elements and also to make sure you're not dehydrated.
358304 tn?1409709492 H1N1 is getting a lot of attention in the media, but remember the VAST majority of people that contract it, get over it just like the seasonal flu. Once you have the flu, vaccines are ineffective because it is prophylaxis (preventing it), but doctors can prescribe antivirals like Tamiflu and Relenza for treatment to help with recovery with both the seasonal and swine flu.
