fear

Avatar f tn The table I posted showed the percentage of income paid in taxes in those high income catagories. It did not show the % of total US taxes paid by that income group. The source was the congressional budget office- not a biased media outlet. I will take a look at your source and see if their information is reliable. But using ball park figures, an income tax break of 4.4% for some one at the bottom of that highest bracket would put about $20,000 back in their pockets. A .
1183666 tn?1274275146 So, JESSiCA, we meet again! I'm glad to hear you're involved with a partner and a project, but I do understand your fear of public speaking. I'm positive the vast majority of us would rather streak through Wal Mart than get up in front of a group of people. (Would anybody notice us in Wal Mart? Somehow I think we'd just "blend!") I suppose there are a number of things you could try before it was your turn to be on stage.
Avatar f tn There is no way you are going to get pregnant using a restroom. How old are you and how long has this fear of pregnancy been going on? Do you see a psychologist?
Avatar n tn I am looking for an online list of carbohydrates in foods. I see small lists, but nothing very complete. Have you found one? I have a book or two but I would think it exists online. Thanks.
Avatar f tn You are both suffering from a very common phobia. Fear of the dark goes back to the dawn of man and since that time, millions of people have fought it all there lives. Please do not berate yourselves for this phobia or think you are silly for being afraid of the dark at your age. Our phobias are ours to own and suffer with as long as we do nothing about them. Since both of you have stated that your phobia is now interfering with your lives, it's time to take the bull by the horns!
Avatar f tn I had to do orientations and it is a form of public speaking when u have a class of 30 or more new hires....so I made a flip chart and it was like flipping a switch as I did it the same each time...lol... But I do know what u mean we need our cheat sheets and lists of things to do so we remember...
Avatar f tn Fear of heights in all its forms is, I believe, the 2d most common phobia (the first is fear of speaking in public, officially, but I'm guessing more people confront heights than the need to speak in public so I'm guessing heights might be the most common fear). I have this phobia, but didn't have it until I got a full-blown anxiety disorder. If this is your only phobia, good; if you have several and are anxious about a lot of things, harder.
Avatar f tn Then he put on a condom, before he could get the head of his penis good inside of me i asked him to stop. The next day i asked my did he have anything and he got very offended. Avatar m tn Trump destroys what the "the establishment" Republican Party is all about, so I'm ALL FOR HIM. This country has been trying the same thing, over & over & over, for the last 60-years... and look where it's gotten us, and WHO it's gotten us. Of course, none of you really like him, and that's okay. That's what makes this country mediocre...
Avatar f tn I'm in therapy I still have these thoughts I don't understand I was so normal a year ago. I did extreme sports all the time wasn't afraid of public. Now I'm afraid of a lot of things.
Avatar m tn However, it has shifted to HIV fear. Whenever I go out of home, I feel I will not come home without catching it. I worry if there are needles whenever I am shopping and the person who recently put the bag on the surface might have pricked himself and well ... no need to mention, is there? I've consulted my best choice option--my mother--and she says that she has taken every possible measurement to help us( me and my brother) lead a very old age.(VERY FUNNY; I KNOW THAT).
148588 tn?1465778809 “He really seemed to get the battles the church needs to fight,” said Mr. Pentin, the author of “The Rigging of a Vatican Synod?” a book asserting that Pope Francis and his supporters railroaded opponents. Chief among those battles, Mr. Pentin said, was Mr. Bannon’s focus on countering a “cultural Marxism” that had seeped into the church.
Avatar n tn a good dentist will not think you are silly in fact dental fears and public speaking are the two most common phobias just dont let it get in the way of taking care of your teeth.
Avatar m tn As BeeFree stated, it is very normal to feel anxious when we have to speak in front of a group of strangers. I'm sure that most people feel anxiety to some extent when put in that position. There are self-help books available that will teach you many tips and tricks to deal with this anxiety. If possible, take a Public Speaking class.........I did and it was the best thing I'd done for myself at that time.
Avatar f tn many people have a fear of public speaking. And remember anxiety and panic can come at the most inoppertune times even if we have previously been through the exact same experience panic free time after time. I also agree that you should not expect perfection and not be too hard on yourself. Just the fact that you get up there is something that you should give yourself credit for; that is no easy feat to accomplish in my opinion. Do you have other social situations that you get anxious in?
148588 tn?1465778809 Mitt Romney landed on the bestseller list by declining speaking fees and forcing universities to buy tens of thousands of copies of his book. Ben Carson’s “bestseller” was fueled by a pro-Carson super PAC buying up $150,000 of his books. Bestseller list rigging appears to be a uniquely Republican phenomenon. President Obama became a legitimate best-selling author, the same goes for former presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
Avatar f tn Everyone has things that bother them. Sometimes when movement like a swing bothers you it can be an inner ear imbalance or just a fear of losing control. It doesn't mean you have an anxiety problem or that you don't have one. The question for that is, do you feel anxious about nothing or phobias about a lot of things, or are there just a couple of things you don't like?
Avatar f tn , cups, paper, sticks, trash, etc, but I have fear of it being a needle. The funny thing is, most of the time, I never review the photos; I guess just knowing I have them brings me relief. Before, I was even using a picker to pick things up off the ground, which I would store in the trunk of my car; however, I've pretty much gotten past that. It has come to the point that my condition is impacting my relationship.
Avatar m tn Norco I use to love Public speaking because it scared the **** out of me, gave me that fear buzz, loved being afraid ( weird ) Then with Mr Norco no fear whatsoever, wasn't as much fun. Now I'm just unsure and uncomfortable, no self confidence. This time the fear is not fun. I guess I'm just a Day 18 recovering addict, asking for help once again.... Don't think I'll put the pills in my pocket tonight.. But then again I might still need that out....
1933343 tn?1336242468 Thank you. I can't believe I'm back in the snare. I've really been doing well. I read Joseph Luciano's book, Self Coaching. At least I know what kind of OCDer I am.....control! What if! And insecurity...oh yeah. You know, I just love my family so much.....I would never want to catch anything or pass on anything that could harm them. My mind is like a broken record....it just keeps playing the same tune over and over in my head. I do so wish I didn't have this.
Avatar m tn Many people have this fear but it stems usually from a fear of a particular disease or diseases. What particular disease(s) are you worried about? Also, what specifically happens...panic attack, irrational thinking? Is it only when you are in a doctor's office or do you have other irrational fears as well outside of the syringe/sharps container environment?
Avatar f tn Do you plan to go to an ob/gyn who is, for example, in the HMO or health organization where you have a regular doctor? Or will you go somewhere like Planned Parenthood? (They also do standard gynecologic services, on a sliding-fee scale.) My first ob/gyn exam was at Planned Parenthood, and when they heard it was my first one ever, they booked me in to see this very nice lady doctor with silver hair and a southern accent, and she was really careful and explained everything that went on.
2083175 tn?1336082312 i an just like you fear of contamintation and also fear of cleaning and chemical material. and even afraid of cooking in dishes because i think all of them release toxic material. i cant take drug because i have rrms and its drug has interaction with this. i am dissappointed and tired .
