944787 tn?1287084773 Hey, wow you seem to be the first person i have come across who has a silmiar illness as i do! I guess since i was little i have suffered from social phobia, always withdrawn and quiet. When i was 19 i had a severe breakdown and developed panic attacks and depression which made me both agoraphobic and severely socially phobic. Although i know exactly why i fear people, i have had more than my fair share of abuse both from mum, the people who brought me up and boyfriends.

Avatar f tn Latent Autoimmune Diabetes of Adults is a condition that can happen in people with family histories of Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes. Contrary to popular belief, some people with LADA have body mass indexes between 24 and 34.9. In other words, some people with LADA may be overweight or obese. LADA occurs in people age 20 and older. LADA is often mistaken for type 2 diabetes, mainly in people who are overweight or obese.

595125 tn?1219834270 What you descrive is a panic attack when you have this intense fear, then you become afraid of the fear and so on until it becomes a vicious circle. You came to the right place! You should browze a lot of these threads as you will quickly see that you are not alone in your fear and anxiety and you will perhaps learn from how others have coped with it.

Avatar m tn The above article said that obese people are not normally factored into flu formulations so anyone in that group has not received good service over the years, although at least this time they are tabulating their results. I'm not in the obese group, so I have no idea if those kinds of people ever got notification from their docs that their flu vax had less chance of success, or whether anyone noted the results in their group.
Avatar m tn My 17 y.o. daughter, has had all the tests, levels in normal range over 3 yrs. she is 5'5" BMI obese. she works out 6 days wk. eats no more than 1200 cal.,counts carbs, never cheats, no red meat no cheese, can tell you the nutritional value in every food item. Avatar f tn What about the men here? What do you 'really' feel about women say, over a size 22? What about how it DOES look though? I mean, you see beautiful bodies (obviously unreal & plasticized though) in porn but, for women that are full-figured in porn, doesn't it look "nasty" b/c of the folds & globbular places of fatness? Not to mention, have you ever just looked at a full-figured woman who is trying to be sexy w/ the clothes, stance & positions?
Avatar n tn Hello, I read/heard that for women that are obese with a large BMI, the birth control pill is ineffective. If this is true, should we talk to our doctor about having a lrger dose of birth control as the regular.low dose ones may not be good enough?
Avatar f tn Don't worry about rude people. Some people just don't know how to deal with other people being pregnant, (or we are just extremley sensitive!) But you're still on a dangerous stage at pregnancy. Don't get stressed. Because your little baby is be able to feel your frustration and might not feel welcomed in the home you are to it. And we sure don't want that! try to avoid stress as much as possible! Because usually we start hating certain people during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I'm obese, 17+5 and have only felt flutters twice, but I am a ftm. I don't think weight has much to do with it. From what I've heard and read on here, most people are feeling the kicks between like 19-22 weeks, roughly.
14296391 tn?1434136829 I have 120 lbs to lose, at 5'11" I was 285 on Mon 6/8. I've started keeping track of calories and drinking 64 oz of water each day. I've lost 7 lbs in 7 days. I'm perimenopausal, have fibromyalgia, and I'm 46 y.o. I could barely move on Monday and I was extremely weak and exhausted all day. I started taking B complex vitamins on Wednesday in the morning which had helped tremendously with energy. I take one to two Aleve every day for pain.
Avatar f tn My bmi was 31 pre pregnancy I had horrible morning sickness... not sure what they called it lost 19 pounds because of it! I am a chubby girl but I got my baby bump and feel the baby (17 weeks feeling it since 13 weeks) also I should mention this is my 2nd. Anyways our bodies do what their supposed to even when were "obese". I have notice the us women that are over weight lose weight while pregnant.

Avatar n tn I am only 27 Years Old and I am terrified of Diabetes and Heart Disease. I fear I am going crazy and mad with my problems. I can leave the house or I get panic attacks. I am all lost and I hate it. HELP ME AND GIVE ME SOME ADVICE AND SOME COMFORT PLEASE.
973741 tn?1342342773 m in good company as three quarters of the US may be at greater risk because of this. BMI is one of the measures. AND you are overweight with a BMI of 25 to 19 and obese with a BMI of 30 or more. I might be like one slice of pie away, I'm afraid. Obese people are twice as likely to be hospitalized with covid. We've known the issue with obesity but the overweight, extra pounds threw me off a bit. That's a lot of people. SO, are you on a covid diet?
Avatar f tn Your BMI (Body Mass Index) is 28.2, which is classified as overweight, not obese. One thing to keep in mind, is that you're probably looking at yourself in the mirror without your clothes on, whereas other people are seeing you fully clothed. People don't usually think of me as fat, either, but they don't see me the way I see myself, when I'm getting ready to shower or change my clothes, etc.
Avatar f tn There are things, other than the wrong type of food that can cause children to become obese -- think undiagnosed thyroid issues, insulin resistance, among others - these are things that I have direct experience with. There was a child in my daughter's class in school who was grossly obese -- I can't think of the name of her disease, but it turned to be a problem with her brain not being able to realize she was full.... she would eat 4 pot pies at one sitting and want more......
Avatar f tn I have dealt with the obesity prejudices personally, and have gone from morbidly obese to normal to obese, the last because of pain issues, not caused by the weight, as my back was in decent shape when I was at my lowest weight for several years. Weight can cause problems, or add to them, but it is not the answer to everything that goes wrong with a person. If he just sees your weight, he won't look for any other underlying conditions that might be causing a "weak" spine.
Avatar m tn Also, my family has a history of hypertension and I think I already have it at my age of 17. But my dermatologist noted that I may have hyperthyroidism so I should get tested for it but the test is hella expensive.
Avatar f tn The gf is an extremely beautiful woman who is a professional singer and dancer who regularly appears on TV here and performs in hotels, restaurants and clubs. I know that many men are jealous of me and fear that unless I do improve my performance I will lose the girl. I need all the help I can get.
Avatar f tn I got a letter from my school stating that since I show effort in class and have pretty good grades they are inviting me and my parents to breakfast and then will have an awards ceremony. I am soo scared to eat in front of people. I'm fine with my parents but none of my friends are going either. All people I don't know or don't like. I'm picky about food too and I know I'm not going to like it so how can I eat it without looking grossed out?
Avatar m tn Stop fearing breathing. I know it's easier said than done. You don't just get over a fear (I feel though personally this is more than just fear) it's fear that has took over our every aspect of our lives. You can breathe again. Don't hold in your breath. Worst thing you could think to do like it would be helpful at all. No. I'm not afraid someone coughing anymore. Be assertive.
4258338 tn?1354590297 i have never heard that before.
483733 tn?1326798446 I just received copies of letters from my rheumatologist to my GP. I am happy to announce that he finds me a well developed and slightly overweight young woman. I am actually pleased! Especially when MedHelp considers me obese! Better than a fat, middle aged woman. Thought I'd share that with you guys.
