A week ago today I met a girl who I kissed, not for a prolonged amount of time but open mouthed.
I, at the time, had a small ulcer or bite on the inside of my cheek.
Last night I put on a hooded jumper and felt a pain under the right side of my jaw. upon feeling it noticed a swollen and quite painful gland.

to my knowledge, there has never been a scientifically documented case of HIV transmission by kissing. That some people might claim such transmission -- which was your concern in your follow-up question on the international forum -- makes no difference. Many people have mistaken beliefs about how they are infected. And even if it happened once, that doesn't mean you are at risk.
and it is impossible to have a negative HIV test a couple weeks after start of symptoms of a new HIV infeciton.
From a medical or risk standpoint, you didn't need testing at all. If your 5 week test was a duo or "4th generation" blood test, it is conclusive. If it was a standalone antibody test, it's at least 95% reliable. It's up to you whether you would like still more reassuarnce beyond my advice. If so, have another antibody test in a few weeks.
You can't get hiv by kissing
s after testing negative for HIV because it was my great fear. Should i be really worried just because im testing after 3 months? I havent had any discharge what so ever. Ive just been experiencing an itch in the tip of my penis the past week thats all. Im really worried.
For example, if there was slight precum on the tip of his penis, could he have pushed it inside of me when we did engage in protected intercouse afterwards? I think it's a good sign that he seemed serious about the condom use for intercourse, but I haven't been able to let go the instance of the bare head of his penis applying pressure to my anus.

I was wondering why the CDC says kissing is unsafe if their is bleeding gums, but on this board it is deemed as safe. I was french kissing a woman of unknown status (escort) and I had bleeding gums, and she did too. Does this put me at risk? I thought no, until I read the CDC comments on the matter.
Just curious, I figure I do not need testing, but probably just need re-assurance because of what I read on their website.
