Avatar f tn Anything I can do to help my fear of labor or ease it? I'm terrified my vagina won't go back to regular size as well. Maybe, I am just young and dumb at 24.
Avatar f tn Hey try to buy a round bale of hay. Try 6lbs of purina strategy a day that should get her weight up.
Avatar f tn t like it, but later you will wish you had taken it--is to give these horses away as quickly as you possibly can and reconcile yourself to the loss of money as an investment in your children's safety and health.
1374927 tn?1278690152 Have you weighed it out? The amount of food you feed one horse in a day should be about 2.5 percent of the horses' body weight (the weight you want teh horse to be). For a 1200 pound horse , that would be about 8.2kg (18.0lbs) of forage (hay) per day, and 5.5kg (12.0lbs) of concentrates(grain) per day. You should aways feed more hay than grain . Here is a helpful website to figure out how much of each: http://www.baileyshorsefeeds.co.uk/feedingexplained/calculator.

Avatar f tn I get them everyday in the middle of the night! Drink lots of water and eat a banana before bed. That's what my doctor suggested and it's helped a little bit.
Avatar n tn ve been waking myself up in the middle of the night with a Charlie horse in my leg. Then I usually fix it but then a bit later it'll be my other leg. I know it's not a dietary thing because I take my prenatals everyday and usually drink an organic juice cleanse that has 100% of daily fruits and vegetables in it. Has any one else experienced this while pregnant and know why?
Avatar f tn But its one of those things that come wih pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I am 32 weeks and now I am getting really bad charley horses. Do any one else has this problem how do you solve it?
7642836 tn?1410611040 Hi ladies .. ive been waking up in the middle of the night with horrible charlie horses in both of my calves. I drink water out the ying yang so I don't think im dehydrated but I just dont know how to help prevent it !
Avatar f tn A lot of non-pregnant people get a Charlie horse because they are dehydrated. Try to get more water in you. And one thing I do when I have a Charlie horse is when I feel it coming on I stretch through it then massage the heck out of it.
Avatar f tn I am a pharmacist and work 12 hour shifts, standing the majority of the time (with no breaks). I drink plenty of water and eat a banana everyday. So I know mine are not related to dehydration or low potassium. They are so annoying though and hurt like hell.
Avatar f tn s of course not simply caused by not enough water or potassium but definitely take in as much of both as you can. A lot of also has to do with stiffness in the legs and not being able to be as active as you perhaps once were or able to stretch like you used too. Posture as well. I have found that stretching my legs before bed and trying to work out those calf and thigh muscles helped immensely and I stopped waking up with those severe painful calf spasms.
Avatar f tn Last night I kept waking up with a charlie horse more then once in both legs n now my legs are really really sore. What can I do to stop these damn Charlie horses?
Avatar f tn He is an appy and i know i have to watch for moon blindness but just wondering if he hit his eye or scraped it at some point could the swelling below the eye be a sign of infection? Can i treat it w/ triple antibiotic ophthalmic ointment or gentocin ophthalmic ointment at home without seeing a vet, or could these meds cause more problems? It really does not look that bad, just a little abnormal.
Avatar f tn m 34weeks 0days today and for some strange reason I keep waking up with very painful Charlie horses! Anyone knows why? It slips my mind every time I go to the doctor and I forget to ask her. Thanks.
1903798 tn?1333905288 I am the queen of charlie horses...lol....my DH was so used to pulling my legs straight when I had one he was doing it in his sleep...lol... U want to check ur vitamins and minerals as they can contribute to this if ur levels are low...check vit D , B12, magnesium and potassium.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm 17 weeks pregnant and this last week I have had more Charlie horses then ever. Like 5-6 in the last week, at night? Any suggestions as to what's causing these?
Avatar f tn You may have cracked one of the spinous processes, which are small points of bone where muscles connect to the back bone, or suffered a pars fracture that helps support the joints in your spine at that level. Remar is correct -- you need to get yourself to a doc and find out what's going on in there. Best wishes.
Avatar f tn On the weekend I went to Adult Riding Club and one of my instructors was a lady who was a very talented horse rider who bred and trained some of the most amazing horses. Sadly this lady has MS and unfortunately she is no longer able to ride her horses, she is now confined to a wheelchair.
Avatar f tn Horses can lose weight for a variety of reasons. It is concerning that your horses are losing weight rapidly, and even dying. About food.. Have you weighed it out? The amount of food you feed one horse in a day should be about 2.5 percent of the horses' body weight (the weight you want teh horse to be). For a 1200 pound horse , that would be about 8.2kg (18.0lbs) of forage (hay) per day, and 5.5kg (12.0lbs) of concentrates(grain) per day. You should aways feed more hay than grain .
144586 tn?1284666164 I would asume though, that the bill is because the carriage horses stand for sometimes long periods of time. Usually a horse out in pasture in the middle of winter would be walking around and foraging for food which keeps them warmer than simply standing and not eating at all. I would say that the only time they would need to be blanketed is when it is snowing that wet heavy snow and is windy because then they could get a chill easier.
