I also know that it is possible to spread the virus without an outbreak. Please don't suggest condoms or dental dams - I'd rather just skip it altogether. i doubt you have developed a tolerance for famvir. I believe cortisone can affect the immune system, and it's very probable that it's causing an ob. The sores in your mouth may be cankers, which are related to stress and immune system overload. Talk to your doc and see if you can get off that cortisone!

i know that valtrex and famvir are different family of anti-viral's. has anyone had poor results with valtrex and had to change to famvir? i don't seem to be responding to valtrex or acyclovir so i might change.
