Fainting in hands

Common Questions and Answers about Fainting in hands

fainting

Avatar n tn Hi, Thank you for your question. It will be quite difficult to say anything precisely here without being able to examine you. Though it sounds like any circulatory disturbance (high blood pressure, heart related concern etc.) or any neurological disorder (like seizures, nerve compression etc.), I would suggest that you should go for a thorough examination by a doctor. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I am 18 years old, and i keep fainting. I first fainted in the shower after not having anything to eat or drink all day, which i know is my fault. However, i have continued to faint every day since which has been about 10 days in a row. I had paramedics called out to me and had tests done like blood, egg and blood pressure. My blood was fine, i have a very fast blood rate and low blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I'm 22 and every couple months at different times of the day I go through spells where i'll suddenly get really light headed and start sweating were in a minute or two I'll be soaking wet. The last time it happend I couldn't catch my breath and both my arms and hands went numb and tingly and i could barely move my fingers. By the time I was able to sit down I was completely pale.
Avatar f tn So my right arm is feeling slightly numb from my shoulder down in to a few fingers. Also feels like some pressure. I had this with my first pregnancy too. Any Idea on n what's causing this or suggestions to help it go away ? Is this normal?
Avatar n tn definitely talk to your doctor and add the new symptom in. You could have a blip in circulation and as blood reflows, it tingles, burns, feels weird on your hands. ?? Not sure but ask your doctor. Please come back and update us!
Avatar m tn Over the past 3 months I'd say, I have had fainting episodes twice now. The first time I had fainted, I had no clue it was going to happen when I woke up. I had got dressed, went to my bus stop and went to school. I had got my lunch feeling fine, went to class and begun eating. Before I could even finish my stomach was killing me, it felt kind of empty and generally uncomfortable.
Avatar n tn Before i faint and when i know im going to faint the first thing is my hearing goes totally away or muffled, then i start to get tunnel vision. my hands get really shaky, i break out in a bad sweat and my chest feel like it is being squeezed so hard my breathing gets fast. By that time if i sit down and concentrate on my breathing, which is really rapid by then, it will go away in about 30 seconds. I get the headaches, loss of balance and the chest pain a whole lot more than anything else.
Avatar f tn I have had two fainting spells over the past 5 years where my hands and feet start to tingle before it happens as well as the feeling I have to frequently blinkand my neck feels like it needs to crack, it happened once when I was driving, I pulled over thank god.. After it happens I also have ringing in my ears and sort of the feeling in my head that I was hit with a bat. I have noticed it comes when I have high anxiety or stress.
Avatar n tn I have copied this out for you, it happens quite frequently While there are uncommon serious causes of passing out in children, the majority of fainting episodes are brought about by reasons that are neither serious nor life-threatening. The most common reason for fainting in children is called vasovagal syncope [VAY-so-VAY-gull SEENK-oh-pee). Vasovagal syncope is an abnormal reaction of the nerves to otherwise normal circumstances. These nerves dictate the heart rate and blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I'm 12 years old and today i took a shower in the morning without eating or drinking. When i got in i felt dizzy and hot, so i had to get out. When i got out my vision blurred out, all i saw was black. So, using my hands i found a towel, then i needed to find the door so i was touching everything to try and find the door, i was getting frustrated because i couldnt see anything so thats when i fell to the ground and my vision came back.

Avatar n tn m a 16 year old and have been experiencing spells of dizziness for about the last year as well as random numbness/tingling in my toes, feet, fingers, and hands. I am currently on zoloft for depression and sleep related problems but am coming off the medication with lowered dosages I also take loestrin.
Avatar f tn Check out the documentary "Under Our Skin" which is about chronic Lyme disease. That's an eye opener! I have four autoimmune diseases and have a negative ANA btw. Hmmm :) I did find a study entitled - Syncope and Raynaud's disease. Syncope is the medical term for fainting. This does make sense that fainting could be a symptom of Raynaud's due to ischaemia (restriction in blood supply to tissues) in the brain.

Avatar f tn From the time I was 19 I have developed hives, swelling, and itching when I go into the sun. It doesn't happen every time I'm in the sun, but it's more likely to happen when the sun is shining very brightly. I've discovered that if I can get out of the sun when my skin starts to tingle and burn, the reaction is not as bad.
Avatar n tn Hello AlanK We are volunteers here & not medical professionals. We do have a lot of experience with Type 1, however. I have read that in the years leading up to a diagnosis of diabetes, some individuals experience the condition of hypoglycemia. Some folks have chronic hypoglycemia, in which their bodies respond to glucose with an oversupply of insulin. In others, this condition seems to be present for a while before diabetes develops.
Avatar f tn http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/07/magazine/07wwln-diagnosis-t.html http://www.tmsforacure.org/mastocytosis.shtml I think defecation syncope is unlikely, particularly if as you say, the fainting is often preceding the bowel movements. http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=9312 It sounds like you've had some cardiology workup, but not a full workup for the syncope/pre-syncope (fainting/almost-fainting). A tilt table test might give more insight into this.
Avatar n tn I have had a slight tremor in my hands most of my life, but within the past 6 months, other things have made things worse.
Avatar n tn I take a deep breath and 1/2 a sec later nerves are stimulated in both hands. Caused by bacteria accumulated in the area supported by the alveolar sacs. Oxigen is CO2 exchange in this area.
1077135 tn?1267319960 And with the holidays coming up its very upsetting. Right now I am still in bed because of the fainting spells. I mean I should come out of it right? Its just taking me longer than normal?? I have one lesion on my brain and 8 bands in my spinal fluid. I did five days of steroids back in September but it didn't do anything and they thought it was because the attack was already over. Does that mean that I could be relapsing now??
Avatar f tn Taking deep breaths do not feel "satisfying", or having to take deep breaths often. Chest pain.
Avatar m tn In fact i am getting worse i have shorten of breath, dizziness, chest tightening, feel like fainting at times and also my feet and hands tend to be cold most of the time. I need to get rid of this bacteria.
Avatar f tn I all of a sudden feel dizzy as if i am about to faint. My hands and feet go very cold. I lay down and get a family member to massage my hands and feet. Then I release a lot of wind and after about 30 min I feel ok.
