Avatar f tn i read up online about how you can give goats vitamin c and it will boost there immune system so i gave it to our goat with corn (he wouldnt eat it any other way lol) and he got better!
Avatar n tn I haven't tried a goat soap but don't think that would help our condition. The goat cheese on the other hand doesn't work with me but I'm fine with goats milk. No side effects. But I seriously don't like the taste of it. Rather switch to rice or oat milk.
Avatar n tn I don't know much about pygmy goats, as we only have boer goats (a large meat goat breed). I can tell you from my experience with the boer goats, they do tend to cough occasionally regardless of their age. At least with our goats the coughing is normal and has not ever been a symptom of any health problem. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn So I live in Indonesia, and me and my family butchered a goat. Now, my family bought the goat yesterday and my mom and dad said that the goat was feisty, kinda ferocious and fought back whenever touched. I just ate the goat today but I'm left with the feeling of scared. What if the goat had rabies? What if I have just eaten a goat with rabies? I kinda got involved in the cooking process and touched the raw meat here and there (not a lot though).
11928406 tn?1431049111 might be a Weird question but is it safe to drink goats milk while pregnant?
703362 tn?1427766328 I used to work on a dairy goat farm as a teen and they also had many chickens. One of my favorite perks was the fresh goats' milk and the farm fresh eggs. Alas, the big city that I live in now does not have a farm fresh egg anywhere nearby that isn't sold at a store, but those were sure good days! Khendrick: I also use eggbeaters to replace eggs in some baking recipes and such. But when I just want that boiled egg there is nothing like it.
7697210 tn?1393875868 So earlier this evening i went to check the mailbox and im greeted by my neighbors 3goats.Two of the goats run off at the sight of me and the third gets defensive and runs up to me bucking.I immediately stopped in fright then continued to the mailbox. After checking the mail i turn to head back to the house walking in a fast pace and the goat starts chasing me.I panic and immediately take off at full speed.By the time i made it up the steps i was greeted by the goat who jumped 3ft onto the porch.
Avatar f tn Sorry to bring a goat question in, but a fellow breeder and I raise meat goats. We butcher goats all the time and always check all the organs to make sure everything looks as it should. Well, the last 4 goats we did, had really enlarged soft hearts. The valve was very big. Nothing like we had ever seen.
Avatar f tn We used them on military bases forty years ago, particuliary around ammunition and chemical storage bunkers. A regular mower could not be used. These were often irregularly shaped high mounds. The idea was to have six foot of earth over the explosives. The goats would climb on them and keep the weeds down, which helped with security.
495284 tn?1333894042 rod-scarlet has been dubbed the fainting goat for when i first got her she stood in a heavy rain then fell over like a fainting goat and lie on the ground like aaaahhhh this feels good!sissy-27 years ago i got out of inpatient at this time and it was my first sober holiday it was strange difficult but i persevered to be here today!
Avatar f tn My mom is trying to figure out which would be best for her to go to out of Soy/Coconut/Almond and Goats milk. Is any of these better than the rest? Should any be avoided?
Avatar n tn About the goat milk, you probably can do that. My aunt got a goat to use when my cousin was little, so they would have enough goat milk available all the time. He is a lot younger than I am, but he has his own children himself now, so obviously raw goat's milk didn't hurt him. There is some important information about dairy intolerances on mercola.com, too. The laws requiring pasteurization are actually causing all the friendly flora in milk to be killed.
1420486 tn?1384793153 I have down sized and will get no goats, lambs and I only have 1 mare left.... Avatar m tn Full fat dairy is considered healthier by many than modified products, while others advocate non- or low-fat. For health purposes, avoiding dairy would be the best thing, as most people don't tolerate it very well but don't always notice that until later in life, but if this is just an occasional treat and you don't notice increased inflammation or mucous then go for it.
Avatar f tn I bought a doe who kidded a month after she moved to our farm. We started bottle feeding goats and calves. I guess that busy farm life kept my mind off my sadness. Now it's becoming fall and I have too much time to think.
Avatar m tn One might say this is an excellent argument for there having been an intelligent Designer behind all life. How else does the goat know to go gorge on a certain bark when you deprive them of mangenese for instance.
1286779 tn?1400012806 We also avoid gluten and only eat cereal, oats, bread, crackers, pasta and snacks that are gluten free. We also use raw goats milk from a local dairy farm, in our cereal and eat organic meats and eggs (farm fresh) as much as possible. These are all working well for my daughter who is nine and born without a thyroid gland. She is losing weight for the first time ever and her belly is not as bloated. Her blood sugar is finally under control and her appetite is back under control!
1205562 tn?1554747006 A friend of mine's son has eczema and she uses goat milk lotion on him to calm it down. It works wonders for her! It's hard to find in some areas though!
Avatar f tn Gluten, peanuts, artificial sweeteners, regular milk (use almond milk) (I have also found a local dairy/farm that carries fresh goats milk and cows milk, so we are giving the goats milk a try which is high in protein and tast great with no hormones or preservatives) and sugar are avoided as much as possible (fungal and blood sugar issues with these). Eat REAL food with high protein as much as possible.
549681 tn?1229724499 OK folks, I could use a little encouragement. I'm 9 months post RAI for a toxic nodule. I thought I was doing pretty well on Levo until 2 weeks ago. I had vertigo! Pretty scary if you've never had it before. I must have looked like one of those fainting goats. Every time I sat up, I fell over backwards. It only lasted a day, but I've been dizzy ever since.
Avatar n tn thank you, I just needed that exact opinion. I went home yesterday and he was so happy, so you're right, I'll know when it's time. Sammy is such a trooper, Im keeping him w/ me until I think he's ready to go. Why would my vet of 12 years, who I got Sammy from tell me that, now I'm a little peeved!!!! On another note, I woke up this morning to my sweet goat Herman dead in his goat house, not a good day. I've had Herman since he was born, January 16th 2001!
271792 tn?1334979657 And would someone please tell me why you would give a sh** whether or not I plan on visiting a farm in the next 15 days? If I ever get the urge to do something strange to a chicken or a goat, believe you me I sure as hell would not tell anyone!! I have to go now because I have to go to the other end of the city to get another freakin’ sealed copy of my birth certificate to the tune of $60.00. Would it be so hard to have all of these services available in the same building?
Avatar n tn Almost everyone is allergic to cow's milk. That's why mammals breast feed. When you don't or can't breast feed, one thing missing is the immune system building colostrum found in early breast milk. No formula is healthy -- they are just the best we can do sometimes.
Avatar f tn "Can you only be allergic to cow's milk?" Short answer, yes. It depends on the individual. For instance goat milk causes me less trouble that cow's but I still get sick from goat milk. My dairy intolerant niece however, has no trouble with goat's milk. Milk has two proteins, one is casein, the other is whey. I tolerate casein ever so slightly better than whey.
