Avatar f tn I was fine for the next two months, with a couple of minor dizzy spells here and there. Then, about 5 weeks ago I had two more near fainting/diarrhea spells three days apart, which were quite scary. Over the next two weeks I was still weak and still having diarrhea/loose stool a few times a day, but eventually felt 100% for about three days. All Cardio tests (EKG, Echo, Holter moniter) were normal. The symptoms got very bad a few days later.
Avatar f tn It comes to a point where in the middle of it I have to stop and tell my husband im going to pass out and to run and grab something with vitimin c and sugar in it so i don’t lose consciousness. When I realize I’m starting to feel like this I immediatly need to sit up. After a minute my ears start ringing, I start to loss consciousness, see black spots and have tunnel vision, my lips turn blue sometimes, I can barley talk, and today my heart felt differently.
1193392 tn?1266969248 It all started with diarrhoea and excrutiating pain which came out of the blue, fainting, a feeling of fever. This then recurred periodically, and after some time I discovered it was caused by mayonnaise. However by then (around 12-13 months I had had skin thinning, body hair increase and male pattern hair loss :( I have discovered that cooked eggs also trigger diarrhoea, and I also think I have an increase of general abdominal discomfort and pain, particularly after fatty food I think.

Avatar n tn Twice in one day I lost control of my bladder, I went to the bathroom, thought I was done, and wet my self as soon as I pulle my pants back up, then the next night I had a severe loss of bladder control and went to the ER. My MRI was clean. I stopped taking the UTira and then did not have any more severe losses of control. But I have had a few accidents since then, and had a medium one just now. I think that they happen more when my back pain(which is sometimes in the low butt) is up.

Avatar n tn She has lost 60 lbs over the last year and a half and has frequent headaches, fainting, and heavy fatigue nearly every day. I am frustated by how little I seem to be able to do to help. She is convinced that something is physically wrong with her, and that the doctors are incorrectly diagnosing her? What should we do?
Avatar n tn But almost anything she eats seems to pass straight through her undigested within an hour of eating. Fish and Chicken seem to be OK but red meat, pasta, rice etc. all seem to go straight through. She also has very low blood pressure and occassionaly faints although seems to have this more under control. I had her bloods and heart tested a year ago due to the fainting but wasnt aware of the digestion problem but it is now very worrying as it seems no food is being absorbed.

1298247 tn?1288290953 Its main function is to direct blood towards the digestive system when food is eaten, but if it is overactive then the vagus nerve can take too much blood away from the brain, causing a loss of consciousness (vagal nerve fainting). This type of fainting is not generally limited to people with 'defective' vagal nerves, but it is a reaction that can happen to any human.
Avatar f tn Another thing i found was being tired, difficult to engage with, feeling sick and/or loss of memory about the incident can be due to a concussion, where i have at some point experienced those things. Don't get me wrong, im certainly no expert. this is the problem, you hear so many things, but whether they relate to you or not is a different matter. Am i overreacting? Should i be concerned?
Avatar n tn Have you spoken to your daughter about starting her on birth control? I know it wont stop the fainting, nausea and cold sweats but it should help with the heavy periods, hair and acne. Some women are just born with more testosterone thus causing darker thicker hair. Birth control has different side effects for each woman however it cleared up my face, lightened and regulated my periods, helped me loose weight and made me generally happier. Try speaking to your doctor about this.

Avatar f tn t have typical symptoms, so the doctors would have to do lots of testing, and actually think to figure out what is wrong with you, and they should because you are obviously suffering from something. Don't let them just look at you like you are just nuts, if that doctor doesn't help you find a new one, that's what I would do. Good Luck I hope you get it figured out, and feel better soon.
Avatar n tn I'm very sorry for your loss. I was with a family friend who went into cardiac arrest and he also lost bladder control. I would imagine it's quite common under the circumstances. We all did what we thought was most helpful (911, CPR, blankets, etc) and weren't bothered by the loss of bladder control. Please tell your mom it is best that your dad was not alone and that his co-workers wouldn't be concerned over the loss of bladder control.
Avatar f tn The HR and BP are lower at rest, while the HR picks up and BP is elevated during emotional stress and exercise. The control of the HR and BP are with the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The former increases the HR and BP while the latter reduces them. Marciamcm, Normally, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system work together in a very efficient and cooperative manner. From time to time, this system breaks down in people with NMS.

Avatar m tn In some cases of lactose intolerance you can be constipated or you can have loss of bowel control. She is also in her later years and her body could be weakening. Her hormones aren't what they were and her body isn't processing things as well. I would suggest pushing fluids and people say to take stool softener but in this case I would say to try and harden it and keep her diet as pure as possible to try to rule out any intolerance issues!
1286729 tn?1274984179 Hello, From the symptoms it looks like some of your mother’s symptoms like weakness, dizzy spells and fainting can be due to adrenal tumors and cause symptoms like headache, palpitations, anxiety attacks, sweating, weight loss, and tremors. But for pain and diarrhea, possibilities like Crohn’s disease and irritable bowel syndrome need to be ruled out.
