I have a facial yeast infection that a dermatologist has been treating with oral ketaconazole and a facial lotion for over a year, it's not getting better. He said there's a better medicine but I'm allergic to penicillin and cannot take it..any suggestions I can do at home to rid my skin of this?? Perioral dermatitis is a common facial skin problem in adult women. Groups of itchy or tender small red papules appear most often around the mouth and often the skin around the nose is also affected.
This condition sometimes recurs when the antibiotics are discontinued, or at a later date. However, the same treatment can be used again. It is important to discontinue all face creams including topical steroids, cosmetics and sunscreens at this time.

Okay I have a skin fungus (perhaps..not sure) that comes and goes. Generally it reappears every summer and during the winter (has been for the past two years). I went to a dermatologist about it last year and he gave me a cream and pills to take for the condition and he had told me that i have a fungus but everything he gave me did absolutely nothing. This occurred by the end of the month of July. I was also given some anti fungus and anti bacterial medicine for my facial infection. I stopped using this medication due to side effects of hives all over my body. The good news most of my ear infection is gone and my facial infection stopped spreading.
t use normal soaps, the soaps dry the skin and irritate it more. Avoid make up and facial products. The skin can be irritated by any of the chemicals in cosmetic facial products and eye makeup and even shampoos.
Dermol 400 is an antimicrobial emollient that can be used as a substitute for soap and can be used on the face. This will not help if there is a fungal problem.
Unfortunately, sometimes it is by trial and error until the condition is identified for it to be treated appropriately.

i am a 26 yr old male. i have a moderately itchy scalp that gets oily by the end of the day & have occasional acne on the scalp. also i have significant hair loss due to it.Recently, i have noticed more frequent occurrence of acne on my face & rarely on my chest & back. i wash my hair everyday with a mild shampoo to remove the oiliness. it just doesn't seem to help. i somehow feel the itchy scalp, acne & facial acne are related.
i have this very itchy rash or fungus. its growing from my stomach to right abouve my penis. my penis and testicles itch to the point that i have scratched some skin off. i did go to my doctor. i was given ketoconozol and it is not working. i also put some other fungal creams on it.. it a great big red spot. and where ever else it is its just red and itchy. can u help please..

The symptoms are suggestive of dyshidrotic eczema and not a skin fungus. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
your symptoms don't sound like genital herpes going on.

I'd see a dermatologist at this point or an urologist since you are having tightening of the foreskin.
washing up after a sex act doesn't do anything. std's are transmitted during the sex act itself and they don't lay around on the skin to work their way into the body over time. using the facial wash on your genitals wasn't a good idea either.
I have been diagnose with a skin fungus infection (dermamytocosis) and the dermatologist has prescribed Lamisil (terbinafine hydrochloride) very strong tablets with quite a few side effects. I would like to try natural alternatives like apple cider vinegar but could the infection spread out or perhaps can resolved by itself over time.

Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.Skin biopsy will help in confirming a diagnosis.
