My 1 1/2 month old has developed a rash on his face (majority on right side) it didn't look like it's bothering him but is this normal?? I also been looking up some stuff on the internet and I came across baby acne....any opinions??
I was treated for graves disease several years ago and have since been taking synthroid. the problem is in the last month or two, i have been suffering from an unsightly rash on my face which won't go away. I cannot figure out what is causing it and i suspect it may be related to my thyroid condition. i do not think it has to do with any other conditions other than my thyroid problem. has anyone experienced the same type of problem with rashes?? what can i do to get rid of it??
It sound like an allergic reaction to something, what have you taken or been in contact recently ? is there any bite marks ? You should go to the E.R. right away.
For the last 3 weeks I've had this rash coming and going on my face, when it flares up it feels really hot. In the first week of it my throat felt like it was burning and one of my eyes was slightly red with a hot feeling to it also. These 2 symptoms have passed but the rash has not gone. I have stopped using hair products ie. hairspray etc and just use a mild shampoo/conditioner, there is also a feeling of hotness to the back of my neck.
I broke out in a rash on my face in April. It seems to be spreading... It's burning and itching. My allergies have been pretty bad lately so I've been taking Zyrtec. I'm wondering if this is a reaction to the Zyrtec or if the Zyrtec helps it calm down. It does calm down then "flare" back up. It's starting to look horrible. I've never had skin problems and Im embarrassed to go in public. Doctor doesn't seem to know exactly what it is.
I have a serious rash on the face for 11 days and it keeps getting worse. I saw my dermatologist and she said it was from allergy, but I was taking antihistaminic drugs (Aerius), which she prescribed me, for 7 days and no change. I also have this rash on my arms, legs and chest but not like on the face. In Monday she prescribed me antibiotics (doxycycline) and I see no change to better. I'm feeling like my face will fall of. It burns and sometimes is itchy.
My 4yr old son has been sick for the last week with a fever, cough, congestion, joint pain, ringing in his ears, and now a rash on his face and sore on his arm. I noticed last week that his cheeks were flushed but I figured it was from the fever but now that the fever is gone, the rash on his face noticable. The rash looks like little bumps but all together in a bright red circle with some of the little red bumps are on his nose and lips. The rash is also dry and flaky.
I have had a "rash" that started on my chin, and has now spread across my face and into my ears. It is very itchy and has watery blisters that dry up and flake off (my skin is very red around this area). I've seen my GP and a dermotologist to no avail. Anyone have any suggetions?
Does anyone know what might cause a swollen face on an 8 yr. old? my son't face swells up just out of the blue every so often. It does not turn red or blotchy, and does not have a rash. he has also gained a lot of weight, but i don't know if that has anything to do with this. ???
My daughter developed a circular shaped rash on her upper arm, the outer part of the rash was somewhat dark and the inside of the rash started reddish but then turned very light. She had only this one for about 3 months, then they started appearing on her arms, legs, and back. She also started getting a rash that wasn't circular on her limbs and trunk, in addition to her face. All of the rashes got worse with sun exposure. A few months after this, she started losing her hair in two spots.
2 years ago I used some abrasive pads from oil olay and also a make up to remove the oil from your skin after using the make up for 3 days and the pads a few times, I developed a huge rash on my face with something that looks like pimples. For the first time in my life after 32 years of age I had to visit a dermatologist and they gave me oral cortisone and also pandel cream for my face. It didnt't itch but it burns after those treatments everything would still come back.
Pardon? Please explain, I don't understand the link between a dark rash on my face and parasites. How would I get these diagnosed? How would they be treated? What part of my question made you think of parasites?

It would ooze and a couple days later look like road rash then go away very quick. This continued on her right are and then she would also get it on the right side of her face. Larger areas each time, very painful. We went to every specialist possible and each one would do tests, biopsies and try different guesses at treatments, none worked. She then starred to get them on her right leg, and this time they were long lines.
I have an itchy rash on my face. At first I thought it might some sort of bite until they started popping up all over. My other family members do not have any type of bites either. They are itchy and then after a day or too become extremely dry. I had a few pop up on my arms yesterday too. Could this be hives?
My son just turned 2 this past May. We've noticed within the last 4 months or so, when he gets angry... and I mean angry like a Terrible Two Tantrum type deal, he shakes violently, turns red, and when he is done crying/screaming - his entire face is covered in what appears to be busted/broken capillaries... all around his eyes, cheeks, lips, forehead... near his ears. Its almost like this insane rash covering all his face, it looks painful but he doesn't appear to be in pain from it.
I have had a rash for several years on my face (across nose and cheeks) as well as on my chest (neckline). A doctor told me that it was tinea versicolor. In looking at the images on the net of tinea, I do have spots of it but it is not what the rash on my chest and face is. The rest of the rash is not circular and does not respond to any of the creams or medications given to me. This rash is just a general redness.
