Hi, I'm a 25 year old female who has been struggling with acne and itchy skin for 5 years now. I've been to several dermatologists that debate the diagnosis of Rosacea or just sensitive skin. I've been on all types of topicals and antibiotics with no relief from the itch. My face itches and feels tight practically everyday and seems to come and go in bursts of intensity. Some days it feels completely normal and then instantly becomes itchy and tight feeling.

Shaving cream is great to use for shaving, and there ARE types with lotions in them. But you can also get a "shaving lotion". as long as you put a good amount on the skin so that the razor doesn't brush the skin too hard it should work. Check with your doctor to make sure its alright.

But what really help keep the acne down was a hot water facial wash and alcohol. I stopped using soap and water to wash my face and just used hot water it cleans the pours and steams the face getting out the dirt and oil.

There are many different types of acne medication. Start trying those and see which one works for you. Keep drinking a lot of water, too.

My boyfriend has had warts on his forehead (near his hairline) before and now I think I might have one. First, if we touch foreheads could his wart be contagious and me get one? About a month ago I popped what I thought was a zit but now I think it might have been a wart cuz I'm starting to get bumps on my forehead and face and I'm thinking they're little warts, but it might be acne. The pimples i keep getting are cystic acne. They hurt really bad and nothing helps them go away. This is currently what i use on my face: Face wash with .5% salicylic acid and another facewash with 3.5% benzoyl peroxide. I MAKE SURE to take really good care of my skin but it dosent seem to work. Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide.

and im breaking out with acne all over my face..i drink plenty of water and have tried all types of face wash\creams but nothing seems to be working...i didnt have this issue with my first pregnancy. .anybody have any ideas or suggestions for washs or creams that have helped them??

My son has it all over his face bright red i been washing his face with a cloth and warm water but nothing a week or so a go i took him to his pedatrition to get it looked st she said was normal but to keep an eye on it but it got worse on his right side now on his ear and next time he has to come in is his 2 month sppointment and thats in feb way to long what can i do to help him and get them to go away

t going to be helpful for acne. Those types of soaps also have sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) in them, as do any commercial toiletry, which another known carcinogen. Skin irritation and redness means the stuff is too harsh for your skin. Surprisingly, being gentler with your skin helps with acne. I know of a few things you can try: Trader Joe's has a product they sell made by Desert Essence called Thoroughly Clean Face Wash.

Have you started taking any types of medications lately? If not it could be an allergic reaction and you should discontinue use of the product. I am also 23 and I always had very clear skin until I started taking a certain type of medication, which made it my complexion very poor. I hope I could help you.

Hi kindd well thank you for your comment and m I been swing this dormatoligy dr and he says that it's clearing up but to me it feels dry ,skin peeling,redness on face and also my face feels like stretch with this medication he proscribe me to use at night witch is tazarac 1% and I been washing my face like you say but with this glytone he proscribe me and thanks take care to don't worry al keep you posted on how I'm doing with this acne face!

i had them pretty long already. its time i start taking care of my face. is there anyway i can lighten the scars? its so embaressing when i see people with nice faces. my skin is oily. i tried many skin care produx!! like Clean and Clear, Garnier, Clearasil, it did help.. like a li'l bit.. not completely. Tried all kinds of creams etc. At one point I used a salicylic acid acne treatment on my face and it got Hard - I mean you could tap my cheeks and the skin was hard! I quit the acne wash and switched to a mild soap (dove) and a very light WATER BASED face moisturizer (neutrogena), I still have some folliculitis, but no more crust instead of skin! Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize - drink lots of water etc, etc - AND some folks like me (very fair skinned) have to avoid oil-based products.

I had one at Cleveland clinic. Good job but wooooo the realing ~ hard to go through. Did good though to stay so daily cleansing of face could be done. Kept scarring and infection down. Good job done. But stay for getting skin cleaned for at least a week or so. Very important. Results lasted 3-5 years. Use aquaphor. Ask Dr. about it.

Can I use this one lotion with 0.5 salicylic acid in it.
