My 4 month old son has been diagnosed with high myopia (-20 in one eye and -22 in the other). We have seen two specialists and they recommend different methods of treatment. Specialist A recommends fully correcting his vision with contacts; however, specialist B recommends under-correcting him by approximately 30%. Specialist B believes if we fully correct his vision now it will only get worse over time; however, if we under-correct there may be some improvement.
I think you can let it go and just observe for changes.

Can you have an allergy in one eye that causes swelling of the upper eyelid throughout the day? My eyelid swells (upper lid only) throughout the day (less swelling when I first wake up) and feels heavy. Grittiness in the swollen eye (actually both eyes at times) - but no swelling on the other eye. Please help with your thoughts! Thanks.

forgot to add, if the patient with ROP is an infant, then the treatment for ROP depends on it's category/stage and on the presence or absence of disease. Last Thursday vision in my right eye became blurry, like everything is out of focus. Two weeks before I had an episode in that eye where the white part of my eye on the inside corner got swollen and my vision was blurred for probably less than an hour and then went back to normal, but the inside corner of my eye was very red and looked terrible for about 4 or 5 days and then cleared up. It didn't hurt at all, wasn't watery or anything, it was just really red.
My cheek swelling was cured without taking any medicine but my eyes became small 9because of swelling). I went to health center and talk to my doctor and told me my eyes are still swelling. She gave me one medicine name for my jaws and told me that medicine will make my eyes look normal like before. I took that medicine for 10 days and my left hand side eye look a little bit bigger but still its small. My left eye look small compared to my right and its noticeable.
