Avatar f tn I am remaining on my same fitness routine I had prior to becoming pregnant. I attend yoga sculpt 1-2 times per week, zumba and run a few times per week. There's a great book called The Pregnant Athlete. Fitness is always important to me but has become even more of a priority now that I'm pregnant. It's supposed to help with pregnancy, labor and bouncing back after baby. Good luck!
450257 tn?1268343617 You're too funny. I don't read much since ME/CFS. My vision tend to gang up with my brain to confuse me. Giggles. Avatar n tn Try looking up your favorite TV show or movie and then work out afterwards there's many online and they're kind of fun to do and they make you feel better for rewatching an entire season
Avatar f tn I am 14 weeks and trying to maintain my schedule of running, walking, and take a yoga sculpt class a couple times per week. Listen to your body!

1117137 tn?1345227905 I enjoy walking and things like that, but I am still so tired that I don't do nearly as much as I should. I have also thought about getting into a prenatal yoga class or atleast buying a video to do it at home, but haven't gotten around to it yet. So all in all so far I'm a lazy bum!
649848 tn?1534633700 Well, Ranaesheart suggested the other day that I do a post about yoga, since I suggest it whenever someone new comes into the community, so I'm going to give it a shot. I must confess, I am definitely a novice with yoga myself, but I learn more as I go along. I know there are several different kinds of yoga, ranging from what I do, which is slow and deliberate to another type that is very physical. Each kind of yoga has its own name and no, I don't know them all.
750172 tn?1256147076 Studies have NOW proven that the time to stretch is NOT before you exercise!!! Think about it. Before you exercise, your muscles are COLD. Stretching could severely damage your muscles. Stretching is ideally performed AFTER exercise - and SHOULD be practiced. You maximize all the good work you just accomplished! (We're all going for that long, lean look - stretch, baby, stretch!!! There are now whole classes built around JUST stretching - it's phenomenal!
Avatar f tn So I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have to find a new way to exercise. I I've in Wisconsin and the wind shield is already below ten. So it's too cold for me to be going on daily walks. Would yoga be a good alternative? Or what can I do as an alternative so I'm still getting my exercise.
Avatar f tn Bounce on an exercise ball. I would sit on it while watching tv instead of the couch. I really think it helped.

483733 tn?1326798446 s not an option for you, my next suggestion would be yoga. It will definitely stretch those muscles and is very low impact. With yoga, you have to be conscious of what you are doing in order to do it correctly, so it's also excellent for putting you in a calm state of mind, which will also help control the pain. My favorite dvd is by Element - Yoga for Beginners. It gives detailed instructions on how to do each pose and also has work out sections. I think the dvd was around $15.
Avatar f tn I'm 29 weeks, I take walks in the park some days and others, I go to the pool..that's usually when my feet hurt too much to walk. Try long walks, and going to the pool. ;) they're a litte less tiring than yoga ..
Avatar f tn I switched up my workout and started integrating HIIT workouts (e.g bootcamp, yoga sculpt with weights) and that's when I noticed myself getting leaner.

Avatar f tn I would talk to your doctor first, and see what they suggest for exercise. Things like yoga, walking, swimming, etc all are recommended typically. Low impact seems to be the most common.

Avatar f tn I do walk around 1.5 hours a day, it definitely helps ! If you are really hungry but you think you should stop I recommend 1-2 portion of grapes. They do have calories but it fills you its also healthy . I love them, its also said it helps to lose weight. I cant comment on that thought, but I did lose weight walking. Its not stressful , its enjoy able. Just take your dog for a walk, or take your camera and take pictures meawhile like I do. Very enjoyable !
