Common Questions and Answers about Exercise routines pregnant women

exercise

Avatar f tn Yes you can run. Lots of women keep up their exercise routines until their belly gets to be in the way so to speak. As long as you are not starting a new routine just because you find out you are pregnant. But there is nothing wrong with continuing an exercise routine.
Avatar f tn I found a yoga routine for pregnant women on youtube that i do 2-3 times a week.
Avatar f tn changes in routine, illness, stress, gaining or losing weight, new exercise routines, thyroid issues, a blip out of nowhere with our hormones. All normal and most women have occasional long cycles or missing periods.
Avatar n tn Sometimes women can have naturally occuring variations and spotting in their cycles without pregnancy as a factor. There are many factors that can cause those variations such as stress, changes in exercise routines, hormonal variations or even recent illnesses. Based on the information you have given, it is unlikely that you would be pregnant based on that event and the dates, but not impossible. If you miss your cycle on the 1st, take a pregnancy test. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Yes working retail is plenty of exercise! There is so much walking bending and lifting after 8-12 hour shifts it can take it's toll on your energy level. However if you like me worked out pretty regularly before getting prego there is the most amazing woman on pintrest she has some of the best routines for pregnant ladies and is so amazingly inspirational. I can't remember her name bit ill look it up and I'll post it.
Avatar f tn You said you started yesterday? Do you normally run or is this new? I was always told not to start any new exercise routines in pregnancy since your body is already under so much stress. But if you always did exercise and your body is used to it you should be fine. I would either way though if you are having these symptoms when you run I would stop for now. Wait until you have your appointment with your OB doctor and discuss it with them if this is something you should or should not do.
10028419 tn?1416841704 Im 24 weeks and before I got pregnant I exercised all the time. (Mostly jogging, squats, crunches) just to stay in shape. I walk occasionally now but would like to start exercising again to help with weight gain and labor! Any one else exercise? I need tips on whats safe and what I should be doing!
Avatar f tn Last night my husband said he was going to bed,got up pulled his sweat pants of and voila!
Avatar n tn Reasons for a late period include illness, weight gain or loss, stress, changes in routines, the holidays, new exercise regimes, etc. If you have trouble with your thyroid, this is a common cause of long cycles. So, I'd see if you get your period soon and if not, then go ahead and see your doctor. I had periods every three to four months for about a year and a half due to a slow thyroid. A doctor can examine you and help determine why your cycles are so long.
11294269 tn?1422402907 I am overweight, since before the baby of course. I originally planned to lose weight before getting pregnant but our blessing happened sooner than planned. I will be discussing exercise with my obgyn at my next appointment but i wanted to know what kind of exercise so you ladies doing to keep healthy doing pregnancy? Is there such thing as dieting during pregnancy (counting calories, not starving oneself dangerously)?
Avatar n tn stress, exercise, changes in diet, illness, hormonal changes, getting ready to enter menopause, some medications, ....
Avatar f tn Hey I am 12 years old. And I am just wondering do you have any light exercise routines that would be good for me? Im just lazy and I dont do much exercise.

Avatar f tn I've heard lots of doctors say not to give up a healthyroutine, but maybe ask your ob when its too much? As long as you arent in pain or uncomfortable, or being way too rough, like crazy bootcamp workouts I bet you're fine.
Avatar f tn I will tell you that women are late ALL the time and it can be out of nowhere. Yes, changes in routine including exercise routines can make us late. As can stress, illness, trauma, weight gain or loss or having a slow or fast thyroid. All can impact our cycle making our period come later than usual. So, get the home pregnancy test (they are cheap and pretty reliable) and do that. If not, you can wait to see if your period comes and if it doesn't in a full week, take another test.
5739386 tn?1378836460 What's some good exercise to do while pregnant ik walking is one but what else? I have gained 10 pounds withn the past 2 weeks and I'm only 24 weeks.
Avatar f tn I am going to have to suggest perhaps a crossfit type routine where you hit multiple muscles with the routines. Don't be afraid to build leg muscles, often women are afraid of getting bulky from lifting weights and building muscle but it's very difficult to get bulky lifting weights unless you're taking illegal supplements and testosterone boosters. As you build muscle in your legs, the skin will tighten up giving you a much leaner tone look.
Avatar f tn If you didn't exercise before you got pregnant than you shouldn't start doing anything too vigorous now. Walking and swimming are the best exercises during pregnancy. They also offer exercise classes ,like yoga, for pregnant women.
Avatar f tn I am doin regular exercise and a heavy exercise for a weight loss.and now i have some symptoms of pregnancy and if i am pregnant so it could be my 2 week pregnancy.so is there any problem if i go to regular gym untill it proves that i concieved...?
Avatar n tn I just YouTube prenatal cardio routines. I danced and did pilates before getting pregnant, now I just do light versions of my same exercises. I'm 34 weeks and just tried a pool exercise sequence that felt amazing. I would recommend it to anyone especially since it's easier on the joints.
Avatar f tn Can u swim?? That's what I did after my foot surgery.
Avatar m tn ) Stretch after and ease into exercise routines.
Avatar f tn A lot of factors, including stress, can cause changes in cycles. Depending on your age as well, cycle changes can occur with menopause and even early menopause with some women. It's very unlikely to be pregnant after tubal ligation, I can't say impossible, but still extremely unlikely. Changes in medications, diets, new workout routines can also affect cycles in some women. For peace of mind, if you are late, take a test and you will know for sure.
Avatar n tn Ok, there are tons of questions relating to weight loss, but I'm asking anyway as I want specifics for myself. I am 5'3" and weigh 170. I've been eating clean 95% of the time, counting calories (daily is 1200 average) and exercising more than the norm. I did drop from 182 in about 4 wks, but now, 8 wks in to the active working out and eating well, can't seem to budge the scale. I read conflicting things about amount of calories, over doing exercise, etc. It's confusing.
Avatar f tn Hey!!! Do any of you ladies know where I can purchase any yoga DVDs @ or any exercise tapes for pregnant women?
