1896537 tn?1381900009 t do water aerobics because I live too far away from gyms to go on a regular basis but I do have the exercise bike thing and use that. I also have a treadmill and get in what I can on that but when I start to feel the need to stop I do because I listen to my body. Yogo sounds like a great option too, people have mentioned it to me but I have yet to try it.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm new to the app and am wondering if there are any fit moms on here. I am just curious about what exercises others may be doing.
Avatar f tn m pregnant and currently 7 weeks. My daily routine is 20 mins on treadmill, 20 on bike or elliptical, 60 crunches or situps, then I work out my thighs, Lower back and other areas. My doctor said to keep working out and drink tons of water so i don't cramp up. My trainer also said just use your body as your signal and you will be just fine :) But I would definitely consult a doctor because we are all different and they know best.
Avatar f tn About 6 months ago my treadmill died so I purchased a stationary bike to change things up. I feel like I need double the time on this thing to get my heartrate up. Do others feel the same way? Is walking really the best thing to flatten this stomach?
Avatar f tn Elliptical is easier on your joints! Try the following routine make sure your Dr. says it's OK to exercise!! The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst. This is the fastest way to lose fat and build muscle in the body. Peak 8 actually stimulates the growth hormone in the body.
1237562 tn?1360989580 Wondering if others exercise while on therapy, I'v been able to keep up my regimen of alternating between cardio and strength. still in the first week of therepay, feeling pretty good but....... Drinking over a gl of water a day. this group has been so helpful.
483733 tn?1326798446 Hi, I noticed that my usual exercise routine had to be toned down when I had the cyst. I normally ran a bit and walked fast on my treadmill. Towards the end, about a month before my surgery, I couldn't do much b/c it hurt. I'd say just do what you can and REALLY listen to your body. If it hurts, stop or slow down. Not sure what exercise you do but you'll know when it's too much.
Avatar f tn To get a quality weight loss workout, ride your bike off road or on the road, or use a stationary bike at the gym. Stay away from steep hills to protect your knees; riding on flatter surfaces doesn't require as much intensity. Despite some people's belief that weight training is for building big muscles, it's also a beneficial weight loss exercise that someone with bad knees can use.
Avatar f tn I know what you mean about the exercise, I was diagnosed with pots about 3 months ago but have felt very ill for about 8 months prior too that I was finally given a diagnosis, I could not get out of bed for that whole time. I did start on medication and increased my fluids and salt intake and I don't know but about two weeks now I have started my own exercise routine.
12693075 tn?1442246392 s miserably hot so the only exercise I do is go swimming. I would really like a gym membership to walk on the treadmill or the bike machine.
Avatar f tn Why are you not allowed to bike ride while pregnant? What can u do other then walk...
159619 tn?1707018272 I do this alternating day to day on a treadmill and a recumbent bike for the sake of my knees. From my reading, that is a good exercise routine for cardiac health. Plus, at this rate I can normally make my PVC's go away when they're acting up which is a real benefit. Lately, I've been reading more about using mets as a target, somewhere around 10 - 11 mets. For me that pushes my heart rate up to 90-95% of my max which I feel is not really necessary.
Avatar m tn Last night I began my new exercise routine, which i decided will be a 4 mile bike ride every day. Throughout the ride last night i had shortness of breath, hot feeling in my arms, an upset stomach, a fast pulse, burning in my chest, and pain in my arm. the pain in my arm is worsened if I press on it, and when I get the hot feeling in my arms my circulation is incredibly fast. (my doc taught me a test where I press on my fingers and see how fast they turn pink.
Monkey Right at present I only have a exercise bike available to me and we generally have not nice winters for walking. Cold does not bother me but worry about the ice so my question is this. Will it be beneficial for me to just use the bike on days when cannot walk, is that going to help with my weight and exercise program.
973741 tn?1342342773 It was manual though and not at all like they had in the gym so it felt like torture to spend 22 seconds on it. I like to exercise and in my state, I need indoor exercise for several months out of the year. I do go out and walk but it is the same thing over and over and on really bad weather days, easy to skip. We have a lot of bad weather. If i had something I could jump on for 20 minutes to a half hour that I actually liked, I'd do it.
Avatar f tn ve been wondering, for some time, about what the best approach to exercise might be. On the one hand, I feel I must do something. On the other, I still feel so bad after exerting myself that I'm afraid I might do damage or slow my progress. By 'feel bad' I mean extra fatigue and muscle ache or bone ache. I know it's supposed to hurt a little when you're working out, but i think you all know what I mean. Do I push through the pain or stop?
Avatar f tn s too hard to run for two weeks then take two weeks off. I work out by the way on an exercise bike currently and do sit-ups and push-ups.
Avatar f tn I just stick to walking... whether its outside or on a treadmill. You can go bike riding as well. Squats, lunges... simple stuff. Don't do anything where you are putting strain on your body or where you won't be able to catch your breath.
29837 tn?1414534648 Daily training 30-40 miles, with longer ride on weekends. On tx I was reduced to riding on the bike path for 40 minutes, maybe twice a week. Not only did I not physically have it mentally I was not myself. I do plan on going for my first post tx ride today in Boulder. Same thing with me on the heart rate too. When I had my biopsy my HR was 46 ish, I took no drugs for relaxation. On tx I'd walk up some stairs and my heart was pounding.
Avatar m tn You can buy cheap bike pedals at walmart that just sit on the ground and you can make any chair into a recumbent bike.
Avatar f tn nothing high impact. you can still exercise but can't allow yourself to over heat, let your heart rate get too high etc. the moment you feel yourself heating up with the red sweaty face and start panting its time to take a break. walking, swimming and jogging are all ok. i walk miles every day right up to the day before baby boy arrived at 42weeks. you can cycle on a stationary exercise bike, they recommend you don't go on a normal bike cause your balance is affected while pregnant.
Avatar f tn However, I also have to do Cardio regularly and I enjoy using a bike or elliptical. On the bike I ride thirty minutes on a pyramid preprogrammed intensity map while maintaining a speed of about 80-90 rotations per minute. When I do the elliptical I run for fifteen minutes while maintaining my heart rate at a speed of about 160 bpm. I never use the treadmill because I have a personal vendetta against them.
Avatar n tn I have eliminated any kinds of ab workouts, I do a quick simple arm and leg routine and then do 2o min on my elliptical. Some days I am all full of energy and have to remind myself that I set a time limit for a reason. Other days, I don't feel like doing anything! My lil workout is how I end the day. The kids are in bed, so is my so. I clean then I take my workout as some me time. Then shower and bed. Lol, it is almost 1am and I am still trying to convince myself to just do it.
