Avatar n tn At that weight, I am hoping the exercising will become less strenuous and I will lose at least 2 sizes in clothing. I have tried to lose these last 20 pounds for at least 2 years, but without results. The only results I think I am getting is water retention , excess hunger, and tighter clothes. I drink quite a bit of either hot water with some lemon juice or decaffeinated coffee/tea with a sugar substitute to curb hunger.
Avatar n tn Have you been taking your measurements? You could be losing inches even when not losing pounds, especially since you said you are exercising.

I just had a hysterectomy and would like to get to work on this! 179530 tn?1368940203 with protein I try to stick with lower fats choices like chicken, turkey, (approved) fish, and lean beef. Even more significant than the food however is sticking to an exercise program. I've made sure to get 30-45 minutes of low impact excercise (usually walking) at least 3-4 times per week. I find that keeping that routine has been the biggest help for me. But, of course clear that with your Dr. first. There's no magic unfortunatley...I wish there was!! Best of luck to you!!!

I started out at 170 pounds and so far, I have lost 20 pounds in one month just using the phentermine by itself. My goal is to get down to about 125-130 pounds. I am eating a low fat low cal diet (about 1000-1500 cals per day). I also exercise 5-6 days per week. I do 1 hour of cardio every day and weights every other day. I try to drink lots of water, but I could do better!!!

My body can't sleep if I haven't eaten enough during the day and so I have to compensate with a meal before bedtime so I can sleep properly. I exercise 5-7 days a week for at least one hour running or swimming, sometimes both adding up to 1 1/2 hours.

Avatar n tn I don't think the thyroid is the cause of weight problems -- it seems to boil down to diet/exercise -- perhaps with assistance of dietician and/or exercise physiologist. Could also be asked to be tested for insulin resistance/pre-diabetes.

Avatar n tn I know it may surprise you to hear that advise to lose weight but its true. Your body could be in starvation mode and storing everything you give it as fat. If you really have a hard time eating that much, try eating several small meals and snacks throughout the day. Good luck.

I lost 25 pounds at tha start with no exercise. If you stop drinking alcohol vcompletely that helps alot too. I used to be 260 and now I am 235. It is only hard for a few days then it get easier. I just started it again acouple days ago. My boyfriends mother lost over 120 pounds on the diet with playing tennis.
Avatar n tn I don't like to exercise at all. I have to take time for me when I do exercise. Have you tried just walking. Walk 20-30 minutes at a fast pace 3-5 days per week. Stop eating 4 hrs prior to bed time. Drink plenty of water 4-6 8oz class per day. Serve youself on a small plate. When you finish don't go for seconds. It is a small change that worked for me. It allowed me to eat what I like. I find that when we are told you can not have is when we want it the most.
Avatar n tn My band is proably a bit tight, but with on 20 pounds to go I am going to suffer through until I reach the goal. I do take multivitamins, iron, B12, calcuim, soo I think I'm getting everything I need to remain healthy. I hope that the mouth guard helps with the sleeping. I have found that the slimmer and healthier I get, the more trouble I have sleeping - too much energy! Good luck and God bless.
Avatar n tn I was thin when I was younger, then chubby where I looked like I could lose 10-20 pounds. Nothing horrible-but I wanted to be thinner and feel better. It took me a long time to get rid of my bad hapbits, and even now I still think about binging-but I remind myself how cruddy I will feel even thougth I want to eat, eat, eat! I can't exactly pin-point what made me stop-but I do know that I started walking with two girlfriends 5x per week.

Avatar n tn No big medical conditions - I was getting borderline high with blood pressure, but have managed to get that down with some lifestyle changes (including exercise) and supplements to a very healthy level. Also, I've actually been exercising regularly for some time (over a year regularly, and was on and off before that) - it's just I've increased the intensity a bit lately. Sprint 8 looks interesting.

I remain opiate free, but I am defined by my desire for excess, especially if it is "immoral, illegal, or fattening!" Wait, I seem to be safe from the immoral one, not enough hormones left, I guess.
