649848 tn?1534637300 I am working 10 hour days, beginning at 5:00 am and ending at 3:30 pm. In order to do this, I have to get up at (or shortly after) 3:00 am. This allows me just enough time to brush my teeth, shower, get my hair dried and acceptable; get dressed and get a quick breakfast that usually consists of a yogurt, a hard boiled egg or an egg/canadian bacon sandwich and of course, my coffee. I leave home shortly after 4:00 am in order to insure that I arrive at work on time.
Avatar m tn But that doesn't mean we throw the whole life out the window. No. Even when I was healthy and younger, I had an exercise program. And I ate nice meals, too. It's just I kind of fell in the ditch and decided I wouldn't get back up for a while. But now I've gotten ahold of myself and figured I can at least do a few things that make me happy, and to do them, I have to get my strength back.

Avatar n tn I am having a hard time finding out about recovering from a deconditioned state. Information on the web about exercise is geared either to young athletic people or to elderly people recovering from health problems. My only health concern is that my doctor says my heart is slightly enlarged but still in the "normal" range -- that is the context of my question, some concern about possible heart problems.
Avatar m tn I am not quite sure what WW stand for. Congratulations on your weight loss and exercise program. With regards to your heart rate, the normal heart rate is typically between 60 and 100. Sometimes, individuals, particularly, conditioned atheletes and the elderly can have resting heart rates in the 50's. This may be entirely normal. It is reassuring that you are not having symptoms of lightheadedness, or feeling faint or fatigued.

Avatar n tn you absolutely will not maintain it for a period of time without some exercise program. Sorry, but true...hey....it's not that bad.
Avatar n tn I find that after 3 minutes on level 1, my legs are burning and my heart rate is about 145 or even 150. I don't know if its good to exercise that hard for very long when just beginning, but I'm not sure how to really get started, since this is the lowest setting on the machine. Should I just keep doing a few minutes a day and see if I get better? I have friends who talk about going for 40 minutes on an elliptical, and I can't even imagine doing that now.
Avatar n tn I am a lifetime member of a very well known weight loss program, and I know how to take off the pounds. Discipline has been my weakness. I am now eating low carb. And it works terrific for me. Mostly, what I eat are high protein foods, and vegatables. I forgoe the bread, potatos, and pastas. I do not eat a dessert, but will allow a bite of something sweet. I was completely miserable for two days. Did not feel well at all. Now, I am not craving meals.

When Pirsoul's condition worsens, as is common with MS, he has been able to obtain more therapy, but the help never lasts long. "I have definitely declined instead of increasing my mobility and my overall health," he said.
666152 tn?1225389158 As soon as I finished treatment I resumed other exercise, starting with walking short distances and working my way up to a more vigorous program. I feel better every day and the weight I lost on treatment (lean muscle) has not come back as jiggly fat because I'm active and rebuilding some muscle mass. I am surprised at how well I feel this soon after tx (did 48 weeks) given some of the horror stories I have seen here.
Avatar f tn Thanks Paxiled. You have given me some great advise! I am really impressed with the Linden Mistletoe as it combined hawthorn with Olive leaf and mistletoe herb. I believe there is no other product that comes close. I am just worried about the sensitivity of my body towards strong supplement and will Mistletoe compound be too strong for a young man aged 28? Do you happen to know why some supplement and drugs would result in sore throat?

Such a reallocation, in either direction, has taken place 11 times since 1968, according to Kathy Ruffing of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. But it's especially urgent now, because the disability program's trust fund is expected to run dry as early as next year.
