Avatar m tn I've read that hypothyroidism can cause exercise intolerance. I have been very ill since exposure to some toxic pesticides. Part of the poisoning is that I became hypothyroid. I used to be a keen athlete cycling many miles a week and competing often. Now I am unable to do any exercise. I suffer from pain in my joints, particularly my knees. If I try and do any level of exercise, I suffer injuries and weakness afterwards which take ages to heal (some haven't healed at all).
1531526 tn?1330739676 I refuse to do anything to get me in legal trouble ever again, but I'mm stuck between a rock and a painful place. I exercise, I take vitamins, etc., I do what all the natural ways say to do. Anyone who's kind of been where I'm at, as far as previous opiate or drug addiction but doesn't have a choice but to take pain meds?? Thanks for reading, please no judgment!!!
Avatar f tn I've had budgies for over 10 years now and have learned a lot about their general heath and habits. The first thing I would tell you is that a fluffed up bird is not a healthy bird. Birds in general will not show the signs of illness until they are already pretty sick, because as a creature of prey, it is instinctive for them to "put up the pretense' that they are strong and healthy.
19361384 tn?1476390469 In the context of confirmed hyperthyroidism, the radioisotope uptake value and the radioisotope scan findings together would be consistent with one of the heterogeneous, non-suppressed forms of hyperthyroidism, most likely either toxic nodular thyroid or two toxic adenomas. Unfortunately the previous sonogram images are not presently available for comparison." Endocrinologist declared it a toxic multinodular goiter and said I had three options - control with medication, RAI, or TT.
3161757 tn?1343731107 Our left leg usually suffer worse than right leg, why? because we do exercise our right foot while driving. So exercise your feet and toes, you not only help yourself, you will do a big favor to later generations.
Avatar n tn If nothing else buy an extra large exercise ball to sit on at your desk while you type and read. This will strengthen all your mid core (abdominal) muscles. Believe me it will catch on in the office and you will have started a NEW FAD!!! Good Luck!
Avatar m tn At that point my 12 weeks were up after not dropping my viral load more than 2 logs. So being both a non-responder and having platelets in the teens ended my treatment. After a few weeks my platelet level return to norm 70-80 thousand. Norm because I have cirrhosis. Bleeding was never a problem for me. I have talked to my hepatologist about treating with the new STAT-C drugs when they come to market.
Avatar m tn Monitoring liver once in 6 months. 2. Healthy diet. 3. Daily exercise. 4. Medication if required. 5. Vit d3 if you are deficient. 1 out of 4 will die because of Hepatitis B, they are the one who were not aware of this disease until it reached final stage of liver cancer or cirrhosis or who were not monitoring it, although they knew it!! Experts can add/comment any other points if I am wrong.
Avatar f tn These meds are very drying and also water helps move out their toxic effects to our bodies. Many say light exercise is important. When I feel stronger, I plan to add that to my schedule. Definitely a healthy diet is important. When you take your Ribavirin, you need to take it with food that has a fat content so it is better absorbed. As you go, your body will let you know what you can and cannot eat and do.
1176058 tn?1263696907 Vitamin K - green leafy vegetables and alfalfa sprouts. Arginine - this helps the liver to detoxify ammonia, which is a toxic waste product of protein metabolism. Arginine is found in legumes (beans, peas, and lentils), carob, oats, walnuts, wheatgerm and seeds. Antioxidants - found in fresh raw juices such as carrot, celery, beetroot, dandelion, apple, pear and green drinks like wheatgrass and barley-grass juice, and fresh fruits, particularly citrus and kiwi fruit.
Avatar m tn ' and hummed the ball down the field for me to chase. I brought my ball home. Got an extra gift too. Word spread in the neighborhood I'd stood my ground against one of the big guys. Nobody talked about why he took my ball or the unfairness. Just that I got my ball back, and some new respect. My brother had put my focus where it was needed.
519226 tn?1378994921 ) She said she doesn't trust anyone, especially her own children. She's called me a liar and crazy. She is toxic and poisonous. She hates her kids. Obviously, she didn't want us. She got pregnant with my brother at 17. OK she made a mistake.....then why did she have me and my sister? We didn't ask to be born. I would have much rather been put up for adoption. Maybe I would have had caring, loving adoptive parents. I've gotten to the point where I do not want her poison in my life.
Avatar m tn Anyone with liver disease or infections or viruses that affect the liver need to absolutely be concerned with iron. Excess iron loads into liver first and although there are two types of iron, heme and non-heme (non-heme from fruits and veggies and grains, heme from animal protein) the non-heme iron is not readily absorbed, so a diet rich in plants and less on animal protein is a very good idea...reduction or elimination of mostly red meats is a good idea.
Avatar f tn It's a matter of risk/reward. Why subject yourself to these toxic drugs with diminishing odds (and less than a two-log drop at week 12 is diminishing odds) and/or extended treatment unless you have signficant liver damage? Knowing your personality a little, I have a feeling this response will go against your grain but you asked for opinions. In the end, you go with your gut on things like this , but hopefully an educated gut.
Avatar n tn You need to tough it out, get this drug out of your system, and start exercising 5 times a week, especially cardiovascular exercise. Don't listen to all these doctors who tell you Effexor is the answer to your problems. It absolutely is not the answer. Regular cardio exercise 4-5 times a week is a better way of healing yourself than taking these ******** medications for the rest of your life. And Effexor will raise your blood pressure.
Avatar n tn I feel that part of my problem is lack of activity, as I do not exercise enough, but obviously this is not the same with you. I am also very stiff. Hot baths seem to help, but watch out because this also dries you out, leaving dry itching skin. I wish I had the answer for you, but hopefully just knowing that someone else is experiencing the same problem is some comfort. I know at times, I felt like I was the only one with all the terrible sides.
5840512 tn?1375230337 I think following a well balanced diet and doing some exercise is the beast thing I can do. I have been given all kinds of ideas by all kinds of practioners. I tend to be skeptical. I listen to my gut. If something just does not sit right with me I don't do it.
150807 tn?1194958915 Should have added an appropriate/sensible aerobic exercise program preferably combined with some resistance training plus a good nutritional program, possibly including supplements approved by your liver specialist. Do not take any vitamins or supplements with iron in them unless your doctor tells you to and has a good reason.
Avatar n tn It seems this substance is of great benefit to those of us with heart problems and as it is non-toxic and has no side-effects, after reading all about it, you should consider adding it to your daily diet, or at least doing a yahoo or google search for coenzymeq10 and reading about it. It's not a newly discovered drug or anything, it was discovered in the 1950's but is not patentable (our bodies make it to some degree) and therefore of no interest to the drug companies.
Avatar n tn 20 m I have the exact same problem but mine doesnt only occur with physical exercise but also when i get embarassed or angry or any sort of emotion like that. its been driving me crazy i have no idea what it is and ive been searching online nonstop trying to figure it out. SOMEONE HELP!
Avatar m tn Did 24 weeks combo-therapy until Aug2002, which left me non-SVR and a wreck. During tx, i did ****** diet (carrot juice, coffee enemas...) but stopped by end of 2002. Since then, booze-free, diet/nutrition conscious, mostly organic, on suppliments (like milk-thistle), still a smoker though. I have blood-work done twice/year - nothing remarkable; also at times: CTscan, ultrasound, MRI, .... Last month had checkup.
Avatar n tn I've gone to the ER, had tons of blood work for food allergens, toxic metals(as i am a welder. My mother seems to think it's a chemical sensitivity thing, due to the circumstances when it first started. I'm wondering if any one else with these symptoms works or handles volatile chemicals? paint/lacquer thinners? anything like that? I've been to too many doctors and all of them are stumped. Now, a little insight from my mind... i have animals running around the house..
Avatar m tn it's never meant for you to be pain free...I live with a 5-7 on the pain scale... There is daily exercise, stretching, aqua therapy, acupuncture, injections when needed, use a muscle relaxer when needed, nerve pain as needed, sleep medicine as needed, eating non inflammatory foods, going to counseling to learn how to deal with chronic pain, do not smoke, use a TENS unit, and most important....maintaining a healthy weight. Those are just some of things that need to be done daily/monthly....
Avatar n tn * early march, it was the second day of my period and I was in unusually severe pain, severe nausea( my periods were much improved the last year or so). I visited my doc after passing a blood clot the size of a golf ball. My period was extremely heavy also. He gave me painkillers and told me to visit hospital if things got worse. * the next night I had a chocolate coated ice-cream and literally as I was eating it all I could taste was metal. I had a friend try it and they said it was fine.
Avatar n tn I don't like your smelly breath or your too loud voice or your enormous rear end that takes up two places at the ball park but I was taught to be polite and keep it to myself because I was taught that the ONLY judging I was to do was of MYSELF. People use "health concerns" to justify their rude behavior and smoking is the easiest to wave your self righeous banner over, it used to be drinking and I am sure some other thing will catch the attention of the self righeous in the future.
Avatar n tn I once made a contraption with a tennis ball and ace bandages which placed pressure on this abdominal area. The cough stopped completely. *The cough is managed with use of chlorpromazine. The side effects are obviously a concern. *The cough stops when she lies down. I have done a fair amount of research and believe that the cough is caused by a neurological condition. Could the Vagus nerve be the culprit?
Avatar m tn Now you have plenty of saline solution, enough to get rid of the toxic schmoo in your nasals and sinuses. If you are concerned about germs growing in your gallon of salt water, then make a new batch every time you feel sinus infection coming on. 2. THE POWER OF SALT Why does salt water work? Simply put, germs need water, and salt takes the water away from the germs. There are two kinds of saline solution. Isotonic solution has the same concentration of salt as the human body.
748543 tn?1463449675 Ever wonder why your chiropractic adjustments don't hold for long? Of course we can exercise and be mindful of our posture. However long-term we see that this conflict will have its say. In my experience, examining both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients of my practice, I have found most often that even in asymptomatic patients the area of conflict lies within the spine; namely the cervical area. So the price for accommodation to the poor bite is most often paid for by our neck.
Avatar n tn Mais Non-non! Re-read the transcript my friend from the Southland - t'was Anita making the midnight treks behind the curtain down at VideoWorld ...... Hey we could do our own little productions...
