Exercise ball neck flexion

Common Questions and Answers about Exercise ball neck flexion

Avatar n tn However, I have taken acupuncture and have done fairly extreme neck exercises and my neck pain, although still there, is nowhere near as severe and it no longer has control over me. I think my neck exercise was the reason for controling the pain. Twice a day for only two week I would do flexion, extension and rotation to the point of noticeable pain. I would hold that position for about 10 seconds and gradually release and go the opposite direction.
Avatar n tn The other chiropractor, did some tests on nerves and reflexes and x-rays, some adjustments on my neck, upper back and low back. said i have transitional vetebrae defect, 5L. and Rt Lumbar Scoliosis, short Rt Leg, and straight cervical spine, my neck spine is too straight and it should be curved. Cost $421, wants me to go back everyday for a week and then as adjustments needed.

Avatar n tn I am recovering and except for taking 2 hydrocodone and the scar on my neck, you can not tell that I had surgery. By the 20th of Oct. I was helping my wife with dishes, I drove my pick-up, and feel very well. Today is October 30th and I was raking leaves. I still take it easy, but I was blessed by having an excellent doctor. Since the surgery I don't have the daily headaches, my arm pain comes and goes but is not as bad as before the surgery.
Avatar n tn For as long as I can remember, I have had a problem with my hyoid bone popping out and causing excrutiating pain. It is always the same - the right side of my neck. At about the age of 8 I talked to my pediatrician about it and he promptly told me it was not possible. That I was having anything "pop out" in my neck. He contended that there wasn't anything there that could pop out. So I just continued to push it back into place whenever it popped out.

It is a hallmark sx (symptom) of Multiple Sclerosis but is also a non-specific sx of other cervical spinal cord lesions and other disease processes, such as radiculopathy, spinal cord inflammation, the use of ecstacy drug, nitrous oxide inhalation, etc...
Avatar n tn In the last year I started to also develope pain in my neck, shoulders as well as low back. I have had MRI's done of the Cervical spine(neck region) and Lumbar spine (lower back) I have a lg hernated disc in my neck and degenetive disc disease with an annular tear in my lower back. I am going to also request my doctors to do an MRI of Thoracic spine (middle back) because they haven't done an MRI of that section yet.
Avatar n tn , overhead presses especially when my arm lifts next to my head or behind my head). I am no longer able to put a bar behind my neck and grip it from behind. The motion of bringing my arm up and back to grasp the bar is excrutiating. It doesn't matter if I'm lifting weights or not -- I experience the pain in my everyday life too whenever my arm is raised, bent at the elbow, and moved backward.
Avatar n tn I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. Also I have several places on my back and bottom of my neck that are completely numb, there is no sense of touch on them. Any ideas???
Avatar n tn Being ignorant of the nature of bulging discs, I thought this was the end of it and began a rigorous daily exercise schedule--felt great! 2 weeks ago, was doing a new exercise: lying flat on my back, lifting 5 lb weights straight up. No problem--until the next day. Severe pain in my right chest area directly under breast. (this was where my most severe pain was when I had this problem back in December.
Avatar n tn I won't even get started on the pain/pressure in the back of my neck. When I turn my neck I feel like there is sand there, and sometime the pain radiates in my right arm. I cannot focus at work and I get extremely tirred very fast. At night I see halos around lights (yet a slit lamp test revealed no glaucome or cornea problems)and generally speaking I have really weird vision in which I don't have good clarity of what is close and what is far away.
Avatar n tn Think I am in same boat. It's 3.5 months - and therapy and dynasplinting to improve flexion and extension have not resulted in much improvement. Have not had any surgery yet, but am seeing one of the best on east coast who thinks he can get me to 10 degrees which is better than the 45 degrees its bent now.
Avatar n tn AS in to kick a ball or to kneel on the floor. This came and went for a while but slowly got worse...moved feet and now it is a constant numbness in my right foot to my big toe and heel - which pulls on the tendon when I extend my foot upwards - opposite to the toe pain. The constant numbness is annoying. I'm a 36 Y/O Male Fit Fat person who enjoys a tipple. I've been tested for gout...negative, and research on gout doesn't match my symptoms.
Avatar f tn You have mentioned that you have pain on kneeling down that is in extreme flexion. This suggests that it might be due to either meniscus injury or due Patello-femoral disorder. The location of pain says that it might be due to meniscus problem. When did your pain begin, what were you doing at the time, and what were the initial symptoms? Do you experience any grinding, locking, catching, or giving way of the knee? Are there any positions that make your knee more or less comfortable?
Avatar n tn Standards of Practice The Infusion Nursing Standards of Practice can be used in court to determine whether a nurse delivered appropriate infusion care to a patient. The standards state “site selection should avoid areas of joint flexion.”1 The wrist and antecubital fossa are areas of joint flexion. Insertion of peripheral IV catheters into these areas for delivery of infusion therapies can be determined to be deviations from the standard of practice.
Avatar n tn I had a total knee replacement in early July and then had to have a manipulation in early October. The flexion is somewhat better extension not so much. But the pain and sweeling is much worse plus heat. Why? I am sorry I ever did this I think the pain and restrictions I had before were better at this point. It is all on me and my therapist at this point. Back to the doctor again tomorrow see what he says. Are we just the lucky ones? I hope you get answers and are better soon.
Avatar n tn Better after a few minutes of being upright and moving around. Also have right shoulder and neck pain. Has been going on for years. All test clear. Definitely think it is musculoskeletal. But, something is triggering this and want to know what. Definitely think it is intestinal. Top 3 possible causes, food allergy, blockage-nearing-sag somewhere in intestines, or intestinal parasites.
