Exema skin condition

Common Questions and Answers about Exema skin condition

eczema

Avatar f tn I was currently using triamcinolone for an existing exema condition in other areas of my body. I called the nurse at my dr's office and she suggested that I use the triamcinolone cream on my face to clear up the reaction. It worked and in the months passing as I tried to get my facial skin back to normal, I used the triamcinolone locally, on occasion if I had another outbreak on my face. I fear that I may have skin atrophy in areas of my face now.

Avatar n tn I suggest that your child undergo a skin allergy test to help identify possible triggers for her condition. One reason why your daughter’s skin condition is persistent may be the fact that, she is constantly exposed to a particular trigger. Does your child have any known allergies prior to this? Do allergies and asthma attacks or allergic rhinitis run in the family?
Avatar f tn You may need topical corticosteroids for these. A skin scraping from the area and microscopic evaluation of the skin scrapings will be able to help.
Avatar f tn Symptoms can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin. Avatar f tn I know i post allot of questions but, does your skin get really itchy especially during the winter? I'm only going to be 12 weeks but I'm a ftm and idk what to put on it. I have exema and I'm allergic to aloe Vera so, not allot of options. Any recommendations as what to use?
Avatar f tn I have 3 children, they all have this to some extent and our local doctors have no idea what it is. They have ruled out exema. It is worse in my boys than in my daughter. Their hands will get a white raised blister which will then peel off layers of skin. They are also sensitive to light (in case it helps) I've attached a photo of my oldest son's hands. Now they do look normal at times and then every couple months or so this happens, i've found it to be worse during summer months.
Avatar f tn Use only thin applications of moisturizer ointments as excessive amounts of ointment may restrict breathing of the skin and aggravate the condition. Avatar m tn My name is Alan and I am 25 yrs old... I have a chronic skin condition since birth which was originally diaganosed as eczema. Later around when I was 20 it was diagnose as Atopic dermatitis type A (I do not have Job Syndrome). This condition originally only affected my arms, chest, stomach, legs, neck and back. Now it affects my whole body from head to toe. Doctors have told me most people eventually grow out of this skin condition when they get older, I guess I was one of those unlucky few.
Avatar n tn 15th, which showed no cancer, but about 6-8 weeks after surgery I had a small red irritated spot on my skin (kind of almost looks like exema? it has continued to spread, is is on half of breast that had lumpectomy and all around scar. Anyone else with anything similar?
Avatar m tn It spreads rapidly around the original blister and will have my hands covered in bumps in as soon as a matter of 24 hours or less. Covering all fingers and both palms with a red like rash coupled with bumps itchy oozing skin and blistering. My itching is very intense, wounds develope and becasue of my age dont heal so well. and will become dark after time and hard, making the skin very scaley. I can go days , weeks , or months and my hands can actually look normal at times.
Avatar f tn Then quite possibly you may have exema or some other sort of skin problem just starting. If you run your fingers through your hair often during the day you get oils out of your skin and can make your hair oily.
Avatar f tn There was no itch or rash. After a week the skin felt like i had crazy glue on my fingertips and the skin came off in large patches zu underneath was very thender red skin. Of course then i went to my dermatologist and he gave me protopic for exema. It did not help. Next things he tried was a cream against a fungal infection but without result. I was told to use both creams every other day. I was given *** to increase blood flow and I made sure to be well hydrated.
Avatar n tn Have you tried finding a pure skin lotion to lather him with at night? My son also has a rare skin condition that causes his skin to be unable to retain its own moisture and therefore is painfully itchy.
Avatar m tn About 6 weeks after exposure I went to a dermatologist who said it was very unlikely it was herpes she said penile dermatitis, a form of exema and I took the igg test, I tested positive for hsv1 which she said was probably an infection from childhood, and a 0.16 negative on the hsv2. She told me to stop worrying and it looked nothing like an std. I returned to My gp and he said basically the same thing after checking me again. Am I ok to stop worrying??
Avatar f tn I have the sane issue I had exema when I was little and that's what mine is I use the oatmeal and honey face wash it helps me anything else breaks it out worse
Avatar n tn This is the time of year that our skin dries out. You probably have a mild form of exema. You can try a healing cream such as something made by Goldbond and also perhaps some hydrocortisone cream for the ithcing.
