And that there are dozens, if not hundreds of others, and articles; which are written on the subject, and the association, or side effect of short term memory loss, while using, and apparently even after discontinuing Ambien CR 12.5 tablets! I've been taking Ambien 12.

Avatar m tn hey guys, I was diagnosed with short term memory back in high school...teachers were made aware of this issue & I was given extra time to take tests/study. A few years have passed since then, but I find that I seem to be forgetting things quicker than I used to. For instance, I couldnt even remember the name of a movie I saw with my friend two days ago or our conversation....sometimes conversations hours after they have occurred. is there anythinng I can do to help improve my memory???

I was abused as a child, sexually, mentally and physically as a child. I have depression and have panic disorder. Would that have somthing to do with my memory beeing so bad?

I am not having any other symptoms of anything but not able to remember things of short term unless they are significant. I can't remember things that I even did yesterday. worst part is that I do not have insurance to get to a doctor to have tests ran to receive help that I might need to help find out what I have going on.

What might be causing this memory problem? The memory issue is something new. I cant even remember things that happened yesterday or even last week. I can remember things that are of major importance but nothing minor. I also have been having migraines yet I have dealt with migraines now for about 9 yrs. What could this be?

Avatar f tn My husband had a very large Pineal Meningioma Tumor removed 1-7-11. He has no short term memory. I believe in miracles but medically I feel/know his memory won't every come back. This is a rare situation as Pineal Meningioma Tumors are rare. The tumor was right in the middle of his head above the brain stem. He also had to have a VP shunt. His quality of life is so sad because he doesn't make new memories and has lost so much memory that he once had.

Is this a direct side effect of high blood pressure, others with hypertension having suggested it effects their short term memory, or is it confined only to myself because of my memory problems?
Avatar f tn Which was out of character for her, Since that time her memory has continuously decline at a very very slow pace to the point today where her short term memory is gone. Her logical thinking isn’t normal. Examples of her issues would be: forgetting to take meds, not wearing correct clothing for weather, not being able to figure out a healthy meal for herself-she would choose all sweets or something.

Thats how computers work... when my computer starts running out of memory it gets a case of short term memory loss on a monthly basis! i compress all the old files/ delete some of them i dont need that essay i wrote last year anymore i just give it away.... i know its some where with someone but im not going to worry about some nonsense from a few years ago...i just hide it....
Avatar f tn Hello, Sarah. My husband (age 57) had a hemorrhagic stroke last year in July. The stroke mainly struck his eyesight. He now has double vision. His short term memory was affected but it has gotten a lot better. It is still very early in your moms recovery. I would say the short term memory will get better, but, how much is anyones guess. My husbands doctors never once said anything about Alzheimers. Find out what areas of your moms brain was hit.
