If you truly have gynecomastia then the only thing that will help is surgery. My son had gynecomastia and he had surgery and looks great. If this is going to mess with your life, then have the surgery!

Hi there I too was recommend to go on Evista. I am going to take it. i ave been on Fosamax for the last year. That was prescribed by my primary doctor. My oncologist recommended that I take the Evista, besides the helping of osteoporsis I have ADH (atypical ductal hyperplasia) and have a high risk of cancer.

he said I am cancer free right now, but a high risk of getting breast cancer so he is recommending this medication Evista. He said Evista was better then the tomoxafin because it causes less blood clots. Is this true? I haven't started any meds yet, since IM going to get a second opinon first to see what is the best course of medication for me to take.Of course there are side effects now what medication doesn't have any side effects right.

s gynecomastia for sure because fat deposits are symmetric. Gynecomastia can often be unilateral. You probably have "permanent" gyneomastia on that side. Surgical excision is the only remedy I am familiar with for that. If occurring due to a particular medication or frequent pot use, cessation of that agent may possibly reduce it (at least reduce the tenderness part).

ve been off of it for 60 days and still getting flashes. My onc wanted me to start Evista. I have osteoporosis, and being post menopausal and my mother having uterine cancer, the Tamoxifen was not for me. The Evista is suposed to help with osteoporosis as well as cut my chances of ibc in half. Since I am prone to hot flashes, doc prescribed Effexor, an anti-deppresant known to combat hot flashes to take along with the Evista.

I am 68 and all tests indicate that I am in very good health. For the moment, my only perscription drug is Evista. Where can I go with this question? Thanks.

I have had this problem for about 6 months and I am wondering whether it is a side effect of the drugs i used to take for my epilepsy - Tegretol Retard and Epilim Chrono. I took them for about 3 years and have been free of them for about 3 years also. Is this Gynecomastia, cancer or another syndrome and will it disappear soon enough. Your future wife should love you for who you are! not because you have gynecomastia. Only surgery will work!! It won't effect you from having sex or children.

Hello! I am 25 year old male who looks like 15-17. I've had gynecomastia since i was 15 and also havent grown since that age. Tbh my body havent really changed at all. My bones didnt grow larger or increase of muscles though i trained alot and went through a mandatory 2 years of national service. Yes, since you smoke and you are overweight you are in high risk for ED (among other much more serious conditions). But gynecomastia may indicate a hormonal disorder, so you have to wait and see the results. In some cases no apparent cause can be identified. If you need a lifetime fix or not depends on the exact nature of the cause of your symptoms. So, again you have to wait for the results of the test.

Also it seems it have a lump (i dont know realy how to tell if its a lump o no i just know its harder than fat) that is bigger on the right side.I wanted to mention that i have smoked for about 3 to 4 year ago(it may be a cause)...now its 8 month i quit.. I am a 26 year old male that suffers from Gynecomastia. I have had this issue pretty much all my life but I am sick of trying to hide it. I am not overweight infact I regulary excersize and go to the gym but nothing seems to work. Its not because of any prescription drugs because my brother suffers from it also. 5 mg capsule every other day for 5 years and I am very pleased with the results. When I developed gynecomastia (which is minor and I ignore) I lowered the dose of AVODART to one twice a week which is 8/month (from 15/month). AVODART has a long half life. Will 8/month still work? Hi, I went to a Mastologist to see if I had gynecomastia, since my nipples appear puffy, but they aren't hard, the nipples themselves are soft, and after I went to the consultation, I was told that it's not gynecomastia, and it's only fat. But my question is, can just fat cause the nipples to be puffy like it would appear if it's gynecomastia?. Additional information: I'm 18 years old and was overweight at around 12 years, when it appeared the puffy nipples.
