644974 tn?1312758070 Are you trying to write a journal through the Journal interface or through the Tracker interface? On My MedHelp, on the Journals panel, you should see a link that says, Write a new journal entry. If you click that, you should see a form that has text boxes for Title, Journal Entry and Tags. Do you see that?
404138 tn?1308941656 Actually, we find that when members reach out to other members who may have been gone for a while, they often come back. It's nice to know that others still care for them. So if there's someone you want to reach out to, feel free to try to get in touch with them. You can determine a person's last login by looking at their Profile page. If you look at their last post, journal entry, or tracker update, you can usually guess when their last log in was.
Avatar m tn That is a good question. The European Journal of Heart Failure 2003 June5(3) 271-9 suggested that when treated with ACE inhibiters 325 mg of aspirin is contraindicated. Am J. Heart 1999, Aug 1, 38 p254-260 recommends caution in high doses of aspirin which may cause worsening of the condition with exercise and interfering with gas exchange. If you go to the Pubmed government data base you can see several studies that suggest raising the dose to 325 might not be such a good idea.
1711722 tn?1356487554 Hi there. Hope this goes through. Today, I logged in, but it did not "take." Tried it again and reached my account. Switched pages and found I was logged out. Logged in again (and left that box checked that says 'save login info', or something like that) to update a journal but when I hit "post", it logged me out and the "login" screen appeared again. I lost everything I typed for the update. Please help. I know Medhelp did maintenance this weekend.

Avatar f tn aspx  Figure your heart rate by this formula  The Karvonen Formula is a mathematical formula that helps you determine your target heart rate zone. The formula involves using your maximum heart rate (MHR) minus your age to come up with a target heart rate range (which is a percentage of your MHR). Staying within this range will help you work most effectively during your cardio workouts.
Avatar m tn Hi, Thnx for the post. I read in a reputed medical journal- I think European College of Cardiology- that high bilirubin levels may indicate heart failure. In fact my doctor was puzzled at the time, since I did not have jaundice or any other liver disorder. However, I did have SOB and a general heavy feeling, and used to do weights at the time. Since the NSVT appeared for the first time after stopping weights due to SOB, I corelated the SOB and NSVT with heart failure caused by weights.
Avatar f tn Hi there - Can you tell me what happens when you try and save a journal? Is the save button not responding, or are you landing on a login page, or something different? When you are trying to enter data, at the bottom of the window that appears, you should see Fileter by: Measurements (these are things you enter that are measurable - mood, blood pressure, exercise, how many cigarettes you smoked, or whatever it is you are tracking), Symptoms, Treatments, Events, or All.

559053 tn?1274913374 On Monday, Britain's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), said Avandia should be pulled from the UK market because of concerns that the drug could increase the risk of heart attacks. They said an independent panel of experts had advised that the risks of the product outweighed its benefits, and that the drug should no longer be sold in Britain. The body said it had sent a letter to doctors in July advising them to consider alternative treatments.
359574 tn?1328360424 Hi, hbananas, I'm sorry you're having this problem. Does this happen when you enter your new password and then confirm it by entering it again? Or does it happen when you click the "Login & Password" link under Accounts & Settings? If you haven't done this already, it may help to clear your browser cache and try again. Can you tell us what browser you're using?
Avatar m tn Eight studies were included in a meta-analysis of published results of primary isolated AVR with SJM prostheses (2986 patients, 16,163 patient-years) in order to estimate the hazard of postoperative valve-related events. Using microsimulation, calculated life expectancy and event-free life expectancy were 22 and 16 years in males aged 35 years, and 7 and 5 years in males aged 75 years, respectively.

1591333 tn?1297733419 Go to your GP and tell them you need to attend cardiac rehab, more specifically, the education classes there. You will make lots of friends with heart problems and be taught a great deal about the heart. It helps you accept things. Failing that. I could always correspond with you via email if you like.
Avatar m tn 20% there is a school of thought that PVCs can cause deterioration of the left ventricular function analogous to tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy (european journal of heart failure - http://eurjhf.oxfordjournals.org/content/8/8/869.full) which can be a reversible cause of dilated cardiomyopathy. This is consistent with what I've read, however, new research (March 2010) says it's more like >4,000 pvc's.
