1527234 tn?1291771442 My EF is 80% and ESV 8ml. Can you please explain this? I have mild MVP with regurgitation and CAD with 2 LD 50% blockages. I have been getting very fatiqued, short of breath with exertion. At night, my heart pumps very hard. I have bouts of tachycardias "at rest", 2-3 times monthly. During these episodes, I feel very fatigued, have nausea and my bp rises. I have been having more frequent pvc last few days with a strange throat feeling.
Avatar m tn Findings : Stress LV EF is 60% Stress EDV is 80mL and ESV 32mL Impression: Anterior wall ischema. Anterior apical wall infarct. No segmented wall motion abnormalities. Avatar m tn was 22 ml and the ESVI was 13. IMPRESSIONS: There are no significant reversible defects." (The EDV and EDVI were both wnl.) QUESTION: How will this (small lv) affect me? (I'm 65+.
Avatar m tn After my dad (45 year smoker) underwent triple bypass and was diagnosed with CHF and 20% EF (he seems to be recovering well)...I decided to review my prior cardiac records, because I am without question a hypacondriac. I had a lone episode of paryoxsimal A-Fib in July 2006 and have mild MR...have always been told that echos reveal a structurally normal heart. EF has ranged from 55% to 67% on several echos between March 2006 and November 2007.
Avatar n tn ESV is the volume after the heart has finished pumping cycle. Subtract ESV from EDV and divide by ESV times 100 provides the ejection fraction. The metrics you provide indicate a 40%EF. Normal is 50 to 70% so it appears to me to 40% is lower than a normal output because the systolic function is less than normal at 40%! Don't understand your comment!.
