Avatar m tn However everybody can experience different symptoms of estrogen dominance, and I think that the withdrawal symptoms and physical harm that estrogen causes to your body's natural ability to regulate its own hormones is overlooked way too often. Here is a list of symptoms of estrogen dominance: http://members.tripod.com/nettie_mae/articles/estrogendominance.
417564 tn?1287982827 I just think it depends on the person some people it may not bother as bad as the other withdrawal symptoms such as no sleep, anxiety, or upset stomach. the hot and cold sweats and no sleep are the worst for me!
18070169 tn?1463175914 I have been on it for five days. If I quit taking it, will I have any withdrawal from it?
Avatar f tn she said the reason why she put me on birth control instead of regular estrogen is because i havent had a period in a year and she wants the withdrawal bleed. she said that with estrogen I will eventually have a withdrawal bleed but it will not induce it. She said if she were to put me on estrogen I would have to take progesterone simultaneously. So I guess i will finish the last patch that i am wearing i take it off on Monday and hopefully i will have the withdrawal bleed.
Avatar n tn 2 weeks ago my hairdresser informed me of much hairloss at my temples and around hairline, but more thyroid type loss pattern than estrogen. So my Dr. is pulling me off cytomel, I had already been reduced to 5cg qid, AM temp 97.2-97.7, dependding on how late I sleep, the later the higher. I have just gotten to the 2/day level. I'm wondering are there any w/d symptoms people have experience from coming off of cytomel?
Avatar f tn Yes SSRIs withdrawal can include a bunch of symptoms but you haven't been a long time on Prozac and Prozac is thought to be relatively smooth to withdraw from. Your real problem is the anxiety that comes with taking and withdrawing from drugs and your GAD. Seriously I would consider CBT or weekly appointment with a QUALIFIED psychologist. No matter how many drugs you take it won't cure your problem to the root but I think you still have some other drugs to try.
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
10905170 tn?1414131788 My only concern is last month and this month I get symptoms of a period at the time my cycle use to come. Has anyone ever experienced this?
Avatar f tn I did not know at the time I had to taper off, hence I had extremely severe withdrawal symptoms, starting with flu like symptoms going to shivering, extreme anxiety, sleeplessness for two days and severe gastrointestinal problems. I started to exercise after the initial withdrawal symptoms went away and was able to sleep 5,5 hours waking up/stay awake in between, another 2 hours. My anxiety level was not as bad.
Avatar f tn The period was light, but I had just had my normal flow two weeks prior while just taking the estrogen. Also, after bleeding from progesterone withdrawal, will I ovulate normally as if I had just had a regular period. I appreciate any answers anyone can provide. Thanks!
Avatar f tn my breasts started hurting and i started bleeding. no hot flashes! the exact signs and symptoms as when i was young and of childbearing age. i am 50 years old and my periods started to become irregular in 2005. it's new year's eve and no doctor is available to see me. i would appreciate an answer from the medical community. what's wrong with me?
Avatar f tn 1 (according to more naturopath MDs) and that is what I strive for, but definitely get many of the symptoms you list above when my estrogen gets too high. Saw 3 traditional OBGYNs + 2 internists who were of no help to me and their primary solution was BCP then finally got relief from a preventative medicine MD. Might also try an anti-aging MD since they seem from my experience they tend to address hormone imbalance much differently than traditional GYN.
Avatar n tn I have just been prescribed vaginal estrogen cream to relieve some symptoms that I've had. (irriatated feeling, cramps, pinching feeling) Does anyone have any feedback on this cream? Kind of concerned as breast cancer runs in my family and not sure about using this cream. Has anyone tried anything more natural?
Avatar n tn My OB/GYN likes to use a low dose of estrogen - Esclim - it's a patch to help out with perimenopausal symptoms for hot flashes. He also likes Remifemanin. You can buy that at any health food store. I'm a bit surprised to think that a Dr. would recommend an AD for hot-flashes. Was that your only symptom? I, too, just started fish oil supplements.
Avatar f tn She explained the inability to lose weight due to estrogen being decreased, but since we still need the estrogen (that ironically and sadly) our body is not producing as much anymore, the body gets it from our fat storeage, so in essence our body is not letting go of fat as easy, because it is using the estrogen stores in our fat. She also said our body has estrogen receptors everywhere, from our brains to our toes, and metabolism is one area affected from estrogen loss.
Avatar n tn Ever since I starting taking birth control, my body was never the same. I'm having problems making enough urine everyday and I have daily diarrhea. I seem to retain alot of the water I drink, and I'm straining when I urinate and have bowel movements (even when the stool is soft). It seems like I get more watery stools when I drink a moderate amount of any sort of fluids. Exercise of any kind makes these symptoms worse.
Avatar f tn m afraid, you might suffer the consequences of suppressing your adrenals even further (adrenal suppression is a direct effect for all patients on steroids, regardless of levels of adrenal function, within just weeks of starting (withdrawal symptoms can start just after a week on prednisolone as your adrenals cease to produce adequate amounts of adrenal hormones ) Please be very careful and become more proactive.
Avatar n tn As far as requiring hormone replacement treatment, consider asking your gynecologist to measure an estradiol (estrogen) level - if you estrogen levels are OK, or more importantly unless you are having hot flashes, vaginal dryness, etc you may not necessarily need estrogen. Your symptoms of stomach bloating, belching, gas are not typical symptoms of menopause.
