Avatar m tn When they first began I noticed that fatty foods bought them on faster but as time went by it did not matter whether I ate well or not. Most of the time I get them daily but some times I can go a week without having one. When I experience them my vision, balance, short term memory, motor skills, ability to hear or understand people and reading skills are all affected. They range in severity and can make me extremely drowsy although they cause me no pain.

Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium, etc.) helps reduce it. But all this time I've been on a diet and I have been eating all of that.

Anyway I tried using estriol last night. (Estriol is a bio-identical estrogen cream.) Wow, did my symptoms worsen!

Avatar m tn This is all in your head. Eating a pound of butter is a stupid thing to do, but just doing it once isn't going to have any long-term effects. Also, at least to my knowledge, dairy doesn't have that much to do with estrogen -- it's pretty far down on the list of foods that are estrogenic.
216278 tn?1308861082 t recommend estrogen during the LP due to the potential of the estrogen inhibiting the LH and therefore the progesterone production), so I don't know what to think. They're back now though and I'm not sure why except I am back to eating more variety in foods, even spicy foods. I notice I get them after I eat, but like Mom said, "you have to eat.

Avatar n tn But giving up all dairy products is just smart. All dairy cows produce a lot of estrogen just to produce milk. Forget the fact that they are given de-wormers, antibiotics, growth hormones and such. And animal estrogen isn't a good thing. Then there comes the debate about phytoestrogens in plants. Soy for instance .... so many studies and so many different answers! Keep everything in moderation and you will do well. I actually take a drug called neurontin for hot flashes.
