11928406 tn?1431049111 might be a Weird question but is it safe to drink goats milk while pregnant?
Avatar m tn However, the allergens in milk from goats and sheep are very similar to those in cows’ milk. This means that someone with a cows’ milk allergy might react to these other types of milk as well.Confirmation that your baby will react to these products or not can be done only after blood tests. Hope it helps. If you have any additional queries, then pls post us. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn IT has been known for ages that it increases blood flow and will decrease the pain. I use peppermint goats milk lotion and its a life saver! Cheap and worth it!!
2088782 tn?1333221786 I feel much better with out the dairy. I know they tested milk and goats milk but I am not sure what exactly they were. I just know there were 26 different pokes but only two food for foods, milk and goats milk. I think your right though I am staying dairy free, I am going to see another allergist at the end of the month and I will see what they say too. Thanks for the input at least I am not crazy.
Avatar n tn The risk of listeria in soft cheeses and raw milk has me scared.
587083 tn?1327120262 With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause. After my diagnosis of breast cancer (estrogen positive) my oncologist recommended I avoid soy products because even the weak phytoestrogens may stimulate cancer cells. Research is not conclusive but better to be safe. As the addage goes, 'all things in moderation.
Avatar f tn If I was unable to breastfeed I woulkd give my little one goats milk fo rsure which is most like breast milk then any other milk on th emarket. Hope this helps ya!
Avatar f tn ) my friend said she fell in love with goats milk when she was pregnant with my god son.
Avatar f tn I just got a prescription from the Pediatrician to switch him to Pasterized Goats Milk. Meyenberg Brand goats milk is awesome. I had to do this for my now 6 year old around the same age.......completely and immediately resolved his issues (the same one) also. This is a chemical reaction/food allergy as I learned with both my boys.......at least it was for us.......
Avatar f tn Don't drink soy milk as stated above its actually not good for you. If you don't want to drink regular milk try goats milk or almond milk. But unless your lactose intollerent there's no reason for you to be drinking something other than cows milk.
5913031 tn?1382391190 Poor baby. I had a cousin like that. He couldn't handle his mommy's milk. He also couldn't handle any type of formula he eventually had to be put on goats milk.
Avatar f tn Goats milk is really comparable to breastmilk honestly I don't like formula it stinks and makes babies throw up more and stains. Goats milk is natural and a little more expensive if you can find it.
976897 tn?1379167602 The genes for producing the protein to make silk in spiders has been found and spliced into goats. The milk produced by the goats contains lots of the protein so the silk can be produced in large quantities. Why? well the silk is the strongest thing in nature or made by humans. It can be used to repair tendons for example. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. You can use online software and create your own dna.
Avatar n tn Esbalac is your best choice as it is closest to the mother's milk as far as fat content. I too have fed goats milk with sucess, however, it can lead to loose stools and stools that are not the correct color; if the puppy's stools are a white or greying color, that is not good. Get yourself some Esbalac and you should be okay.
6824408 tn?1385138508 Something else: First, your doing everything I would have suggested other than yogurt on it's own does not contain a therapeutic dose of probiotics....Might try adding a good oral one to the mix....Also, I agree w/Margot that Pepcid should be tried..... Its very possible that dry food is irritating her digestive tract......Known to happen is cases.....Try only serving wet food and see if that makes a difference.......Karla P.S. THANK YOU for adopting a dog....Especially a middle age one!
Avatar n tn Milk from other mammals (such as goats and sheep), and hydrolysed milk and soya formulas, are sometimes used as a substitute for babies who are at risk of developing cows’ milk allergy. However, the allergens in milk from goats and sheep are very similar to those in cows’ milk. This means that someone with a cows’ milk allergy might react to these other types of milk as well, so goat’s and sheep milk aren’t suitable alternatives for people who are sensitive to cows’ milk.
Avatar f tn My boys both had to be switched from formula (I breast fed.
1205562 tn?1554747006 Goats Milk lotion... thanks. I got some hydrocortizone cream today, I'm gonna try that just to get this one really bad area on her leg to go away. But I would rather not use it on her since it's kind of a "iffy" cream (possibly cancer causing) So I plan using it very sparingly on her and only in severe cases like this one. She had a leather anklet on and it got VERY inflamed! So, I will definitely look into some goats milk lotion! THANK YOU!!
Avatar f tn Gluten, peanuts, artificial sweeteners, regular milk (use almond milk) (I have also found a local dairy/farm that carries fresh goats milk and cows milk, so we are giving the goats milk a try which is high in protein and tast great with no hormones or preservatives) and sugar are avoided as much as possible (fungal and blood sugar issues with these). Eat REAL food with high protein as much as possible.
Avatar m tn Full fat dairy is considered healthier by many than modified products, while others advocate non- or low-fat. For health purposes, avoiding dairy would be the best thing, as most people don't tolerate it very well but don't always notice that until later in life, but if this is just an occasional treat and you don't notice increased inflammation or mucous then go for it.
Avatar f tn Almond milk is better its higher in calcium than regular milk. I can't drink it plain so I put strawberries and bananas in it and make a shake.
Avatar f tn If it is the taste, suggest mixing chocolate or strawberry flavor in the milk. Of the different milks, goat milk would be the best choice and the closest to regular milk, then Soymilk. Almond milk does not have many nutrients as the above, and coconut milk is very high in saturated fat. If she is not lactose intolerant, suggest increasing other sources of calcium which is cheese, yogurt, pudding, and ice cream.
