Estrogen and wellbutrin

Common Questions and Answers about Estrogen and wellbutrin

Avatar f tn I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself. INSURANCE: The drug companies ALWAYS have programs to help those without insurance. Look it up on the internet and ask!! Another suggestion is to ask your dr for samples.
Avatar n tn Perhaps I should also tell you that I have had 8 abdominal surgeries in as many years. I am on Wellbutrin because of mood swings related to surgical menopause (without estrogen)and because my doctor thought it would ease my hot flashes. Thanks very much.
577700 tn?1217895727 I final got on Armour and trying to figure out how to take it with the other meds that I take. I take estrogen and iron as well as a wellbutrin. I have been taking Armour sublingual, my question is can I take the other meds at the same time since they are being swallowed?
Avatar n tn I have been on it for 4yrs and I am going to say it was a God sent. I take it everyday and have breakthrough bleeding twice a year if that. I also take Wellbutrin XL 150mg daily not the generic either because it is different to help with the depression. I have to say for me this combo is the best. I finally have my life back for the most part. I understand the messing of your head part. I dont like being on meds at all but I know I need to be.
Avatar m tn I will definitely look into the items you mentioned and consider it after I see what happens with the Wellbutrin.
Avatar f tn I don't know for sure about adderall but I'm pretty sure that anti-depressants like prozac do lower your sex drive. I think Wellbutrin is one though that is not supposed to have that side effect. Hopefully between that and the patch you'll get to feeling normal again soon. I wish you luck.
Avatar f tn John’s Wort - Serotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor Estrogen - Often helps in perimenopause; usually does not help during menopause Testosterone - Possibly helpful for both men and women Thyroid, especially T3 form - Double Blind Studies Show Improvement even if thyroid blood tests are normal DHEA - Adrenal gland hormone Appropriately paced exercise conditioning - Many studies show benefit"
Avatar f tn Here's my experience... Around age 44 it seamed as if my body became possessed, and the symptoms started to stack up. I remember clearly the day I had to leave my exercise class because I couldn't stop crying (for no reason at all). It was downhill from there: epic brain fog & mood swings, hair loss, brittle nails, no coordination, apathetic about everything, I started getting lost driving places I'd been to many times.
Avatar f tn I, as you am told I'm very attractive all the time and still am. But nobody looks under the clothes and see what I see. What is estrogen gel and where is it used? Has it helped you? I ended up ordering some first grade green tea from Japan and I drink two glasses a day since July 2010 (love it) It is keeping my weight stable. Also from Japan I got some powdered collagen which I can't use anymore, because the guy didn't know I have mild blockage in my aorta and its branches.
Avatar f tn The thyroid is normal -- t3 uptake and TT4 are influenced by the estrogen. The high platelet count may suggest some inflammation - either low grade infection, rheumatologic problem or insulin resistance syndrome (high triglycerides, high BP and sometimes overweight is also seen). It will be important to check out the high Calcium -- repeat along with a PTH (parathyroid hormone) level -- if both high, you have hyperparathyroidism -- see parathyroid.
Avatar n tn Lost over 80 lbs on combination of Adderall and Wellbutrin, with the help of running and eating half portions, and kept off for 2 years until this past year.....have gained 20-30 back, don't have as much energy and control of my OCD as before. I am now on Topamax for my severe migraines....while still taking Adderall and Wellbutrin, hoping to cease taking those soon. Also hoping will help my compulsive binge eating and make me feel normal again! Just on the 3rd day of Topamax.
Avatar n tn I have had a hysterctomy since I was 29 and now 48, I have clinical depression and gained 60lbs since the hysterctomy. I take estrogen and Rx b and 500 mg wellbutrin daily.
Avatar f tn 0 or thereabouts and great free t4 free t3 levels and all else looks good so maybe they raise your thyroid med dose thinking you're still a little hypo (not hyper) or have you lower dose in case you are actually hyper and for a short while you feel better or feel worse right away so now you don't know if you're up or down ?
Avatar m tn and it was found that perhaps estrogen replacement, and certain hormones were not so great, and could cause more harm then good...
Avatar f tn My preference would be to stop taking Wellbutrin and Lexapro, but after this month of hell, I'm not sure what is the right thing to do. Please help. To make matters even more complicated my gynecologist recommended me starting Qliara birth control pills due to my lack of estrogen, and now I've been on those for 1 full week. I really, really feel out of sorts. Please tell me what you would advise.
Avatar n tn 96. I went and had more blood work done monday and still have not received a call from my doctor. I am just nervous and feel bad. I was just talking with guys at work and they never heard of men having thyroid problems, and then I check on line and it is rare. I was just wondering if anyone here knows of any men who have thyroid problems? And if my 16.96 TSH is something to be concerned about. THANKS!
Avatar n tn It is very frustrating and scary and I am concerned about what is causing these problems. Could the Wellbutrin be causing this? Or a combination of the medications? The headaches seems to be getting worse also. Today it woke me up, where before it would begin shortly after waking up. Any help or advice you could offer me in regards to the headaches and memory loss would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I've been taking 500mg metformin myself and I have not experienced any weight loss. I am actually taking it for diabetes treatment. But it has not helped with my weight loss.

891909 tn?1246670715 I take 300 mg of wellbutrin, 1000 mg of vitamin c, and a claritin. I was taking a multivitamin, a fish oil supplement, and a calcium supplement but with this nodule anything other then what I absolutely need is about all I can swallow right now. I do eat healthy lots of fruits, veggies, don't have excessive bread intake, lean meats and dairy, etc. I also am going to post this message on the thyroid board as well.
Avatar n tn her with love but now she is telling me she wants to break up because she says we should right now because she is tired of hurting me but,she cant change. She has gone to the doctor and had her Testostrone and estrogen checked ,her testostrone was little low and required a shot but, estrogen was ok,So I thought maybe other hormones were out of balance like Noraponephrine or serotonine but she says its not just a simple test so she says no to more test,What do I do?

Avatar f tn Hi, Have you done a complete hormone testing including thyroid hormones, and levels of estrogen, prolactin and cortisol; and were they within limits? Are you very slim or highly obese? Very high or very low estrogen levels can affect libido. Also, balanced food intake is very important. Not sure if the long term use of anti anxiety drugs would have affected the nervous system. Sorry not able to give any specific suggestion.
Avatar n tn They only last a few seconds. The build and peak like labor pains. Say I'm in the kitchen and I'll feel it coming on so I have time to brace myself. I'll set down whatever it is i'm holding and get ready. I have to cross my legs, bend my knees, hold on to something, clench my body tight, and try to breathe. Thank God it only lasts a few seconds. My 14 yr. old son witnessed it yesterday and tried to call 911. I kept signaling him not to. I knew it wouldn't last long. My gyno.
Avatar f tn I'm trying to detox from effexor after being on it for several years with the last 7 months at 150 mg. After getting down to 37.5 every other day and feeling okay I stopped and started my new prescription, Wellbutrin-- well, for two days now I'm nauseous, shaky, hot/cold sweats, feel like my eyes are vibrating somewhat when I make too fast of motion with my head. It's as if I have symptoms of Vertigo and can't fix it.
Avatar f tn We immediately stopped that one and proceeded to try wellbutrin xl for 3 weeks but he heavily focused on any depression I might have that appointment which concerned me because it was no longer focused on pain management. I tolerated wellbutrin xl well for the 3 weeks I was on it but it pushed my tremors from inconsistent mild to inconsistent moderate and impeded driving and everyday functionality.
Avatar n tn I'm going to get tested for ADD today. I am currently on 60 mg of Prozac, 300 of Wellbutrin, and 1mg of Clonazepam at night. There's still an immense amount of static in my head, even though I've come very far. Now I'm wondering if at the core of all of this is ADD, because I've read that it's common for those suffering ADD to develop mood disorders.
