Avatar n tn By aiding healthy hormone metabolism and assisting the body to recognize and eliminate stressed cells, we can reduce generalized inflammation and slow the progress of aging-related disorders. DIM (Diindolylmethane) is a natural antioxidant and phytonutrient found in cruciferous vegetables, and research has shown it to have powerful anti-inflammatory activity. DIM is an indole that is highly insoluble. To be absorbed, pure DIM must be microencapsulated.
Avatar m tn Since your Pap was LSIL you should have a repeat Pap in 6 to 12 months. An abnormal Pap can be caused by inflammation and minor infection. The fact that you stopped the pill should not cause the abnormal result unless you are menopausal and there are some changes at menopause that can cause the Pap to appear abnormal but it is really normal for that age group. In this case they often prescribe a vaginal estroegen cream.
Avatar f tn Can stress cause the vagina to itch and legs to itch and burn if there is no present infections of any kind?
Avatar m tn In Autoimmune thyroid , the thyroid is inflamed from the antibodies and you are at risk for more body inflammation in other areas. The thyroid level of inflammation gets re-disturbed with other hormone imbalances as it can no longer self adjust. The hormone output and free T levels are now regulated by the hormone replacement meds. Like a car that no longer has an adjustable gas pedal for hills, its now one speed.
Avatar f tn Test showed high testosterone, high estrogen, and darn near no progesterone. Prescribed est. and prog. and those are supposedly good now...but if I'm normal how come i feel AWEFUL? I'm exhausted, wake up 3 or 4 times throughout the night, am gaining a LOT of weight (30 lbs in the last 6 months) and while i admit i dont always eat healthy...there is NO way im eating enough to warrant that...
Avatar n tn I have been taking sublingual estriol which has been helping my inflammation and mood and the doc wants me to stop, which scares me, because I feel worse without it. I am on 2 grains armour, just raised from 11/2. Also on antidepressants. I am really tired and weak and weepy. I realize probably some of this is due to the fact that I took a birth control pill for a month. I went off it 2 months ago, though. Does anyone have any advice about what to do next?
3046028 tn?1340538562 I believe it took about three months to kick in and all her estrogen deficiency symptoms went away. She took this product for the next three years until she found she didn't need it anymore.
Avatar f tn she wants to put me on a low dosage of estrogen patch and wellbuterin? then she checked my neck and felt some inflammation, she did a sonogram which confirmed a slight enlargement of the left lobe. They are now testing for thyroid anitbodies which I had to ask them to do. She didn't give me the scripts for the patch, the wellbuterin and didn't tell me what to do or why I have an enlargement? she was really busy. What is going on, I feel awful.
Avatar f tn t have the labs handy for the 100mcg synthroid and 60mg NTH, but my TSH was .006 and both my FT4 and FT3 were at the high end. My RT3 was 478, which is the reason I don't feel hyper because the meds aren't actually working. I don't feel anxious or shakey and my heart rate is never over 80 and my basal temp is around 97.7 (orally), 96.6 (armpit).
Avatar f tn Menopause is often thought of as a time of declining estrogen, but it is actually common for women to experience surges of abnormally high estrogen levels in the menopausal years, as well as earlier in life. This misconception has led many millions of women to engage in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to restore lost” estrogen, hoping to address the above list of conditions. This additional estrogen may only worsen the problem and even set the stage for the development of deadly disease.
Avatar n tn If you have ASC-US and are near or past menopause, your health care provider may prescribe estrogen cream. If the cell changes are caused by low hormone levels, applying estrogen cream will make them go away." There is some good info on some .gov sites about pap smears, HPV, and cervical cancer. Did the colposcopy done before the LEEP show a worse case of dysplasia since a LEEP is not typically done for mild dysplasia?
Avatar f tn Low t3 and TSH For years my doctors have not been taking my hormonal issues seriously. I have been misdiagnosed with PCOS, and my last conversation with my doctor concluded with her telling me that she thinks I have some sort of compulsive psychological disorder, i.e. she does not believe in the severity of my symptoms, which include (I'm a 21 y.o.
Avatar f tn and it is a lot of swelling and inflammation that occurs with that and with swelling comes tighter space for blood and CSF to flow which with Chiari is tight already..... Deff talk with your OBGYN and NS to see the best way to deal with this.....not knowing your age....there are things I wish I knew when I was younger as I went into early onset menopause....I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and that can affect hormones and in effect affect headaches too.
Avatar f tn There are many problems that cause vaginal dryness such as hypothyroidism, Sjogren’s syndrome, vaginitis or inflammation of vagina, dermatitis of skin around vagina, or allergy to soaps and lotions. Low estrogen is another cause. It could also be allergy to the lubricant you used. Yes, please inform your gynecologist regarding this. Take care!
Avatar n tn t have my blood test in front of me but cortisol was below normal, also estrogen, progest and testosteronews very low. I am taking prednisone 15mg a day for over a year now and can't get off of that. It's a mess. everything is short circuiting.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
Avatar n tn I have very sensitive skin, I scratched my stomach about 6 days ago and developed a scratch. It was deep enough to produce a scab. I have slight redness around the scratch and slight, ever so slight tenderness when touching it. However, I went to a dermatologist today who said the scratch was not infected, it was only inflamed. She said there is a difference and mine is inflamed, told me to put vaseline or triple antibiotic on it. My question is why is it taking so long to heal?
Avatar n tn Infection is the most common cause CRP levels fluctuate from day to day, and levels increase with aging, high blood pressure, alcohol use, smoking, low levels of physical activity, chronic fatigue, coffee consumption, having elevated triglycerides, insulin resistance or diabetes, taking estrogen, eating a high protein diet, and suffering sleep disturbances, or depression.
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis. I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy. I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
