estradiol levels

I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?

I hope I font sound foolish, but what is ESTRADIOL and what does it mean if your levels are low/high???

I am almost 37 years old and doing a hormonal profile this month (b/w every other day, basically!!) I had Estradiol draws pre-o, and now Estradiol and Progesterone draws post-o! On Peak +3, my Estradiol was 70 (went from 104 to 323 to 70) and my progesterone was 5.8. It is only 3DPO, but I am trying to get an idea of whether it's a 'good' number or not - Any help will be appreciated!!!!

I think the estradiol levels usually are about 200 per mature follicle...but that would be right before ovulation, so I'm sure your numbers went up in the four days before your IUI.

I'm 44 and have had very sporadic periods for a couple of years. My last period was last July. I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and my doctor has confirmed perimenopause. My fsh was 58 and my estradiol was 223. He said that explained why I had had any "normal" menopause symptoms and said it means I don't need to consider hrt yet. Having Googled it seems unusual for estradiol levels to still be so high. Does anyone know what it might mean?

I need some feedback on my hormone levels since this hormone testing is new to me. I haven't heard from my OB, but this is what my Progesterone and Estradiol levels are according to my family doc: tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct?

E2 levels supposed to be 200-600 per mature follicle at the time of the trigger. Elevated E2 I think indicates overstimulation. Good luck to yoou this cycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FSH: 4.5 and Estradiol 59. The levels yesterday 3/29/10 (day 10) were: FSH: 9.7 and Estradiol 163. I am using OPK's per the direction of my fertility doctor on cycle days 12-21 (I started early and have been getting negative results - not surprising since I know that it might be too soon to ovulate). Does anyone know how to interpret these day 10 results? Thank you!

They then had me do 25 IU fiollistim with an LH Luveris which worked and my estradiol levels were consistent with my follicle production.

Hello, I am writing because I have lots of symptoms of PCOS and 5 years ago I went through fertiltiy and found that I have PCOS, but now 5 years later I had my hormone levels taken just by family doctor and they say they are normal but what is normal. Can anyone help me? I don't have periods, I grow hair in places you don't want and more here are the lab results from lab. Estradiol (estrogen) 26 pg/mL FSH 5.0 mIU/mL LH 12.2 mIU/mL These are the ones they have done. What does this mean?

My estrogen level is 1140 which has me very concerned why it is this high. I do take estradiol 2 mg, but from what i have researched with HRT it should not be higher than 340. Does this mean it could be caused from ovarian cancer or are my labs just out of whack because of estradiol dose being too high??

I am really stressing. My progesterone has gone up each time. I am taking 2 mg Estradiol 3 times per day and am now on the patches changing them every day. Any ideas? Does this mean I am not pregnant?

It is hard to predict. The higher levels of estrogen may promote the midcycle LH surge, which is what urine OPKs look for. If this happens, the surge might come a couple of days earlier. This is called positive feedback. On the other hand, the higher estrogen levels my inhibit LH (this is called negative feedback) delaying the surge. You will need to test for ovulation to find out.

We did IUI last month but it was unsucessful. All levels are normal except estradiol which was above 80. Up untill two months ago she had LH surge every cycle. Now all of the sudden nothing. Last month no surge on opk but on ultrasound she had a good follicle so we did the IUI. Has anyone had success with preg when estradiol is high? If so we would love some advice.

ve been feeling the symptoms of menopause so had my levels checked. Total estrogen came back as 892 pg/ml. The doctor is telling me this is within normal limits of the lab that tested my blood. The most important question for a hypothyroid patient is always, How do you feel? If you feel well, then your levels are adequate. If you don't feel your best, then your levels are a bit lower than needed. Since your FT4/FT3 numbers have dropped over the last two years, why is the doctor reluctant to increase your dosage. Dosage is irrelevant, only the physiological effects are important. Seems the doctor should be wiling to get your FT4/FT3 back to prior levels.

Hi! As far as I am aware, there is no indication for checking a "routine" hormone panel in a healthy asymptomatic individual. It is usually a bad idea to order tests "just because" because this is exactly what happens! You get a result that you have no idea what to do with or what it means, and it scares the patient to death. If I were you, I would consider switching doctors so this doesn't happen again! Estradiol and testosterone levels are expensive too!

This is my first cycle on injectables. Praying for big follies. I will let you know what my levels are - tomorrow is CD 11 for me. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
